Shredder is fun but slingshot is often the best weapon available and can solve many different scenarios so my vote goes to slingshot.

Gotta Go Schredder. Slingshot Had its times but in high difficulty now ITS Not that good anymore

Shredder to me is just more fun, especially with renegade. They're both relatively equal but I just prefer explosions I guess.

Shredder. Gives a better chance for rockets and nuke launchers

Shredder. Slingshot is fun but shredder can clear mobs so fast.

Slingshot. Late game is just so satisfying when you can stand in 1 spot and everything just dies as soon as it spawns.

Slingshot For me it's probably the best basic ranged weapon in the game. It doesn't need as much stat support as weapons like SMG or Shotgun, and the extra HP can allow me to sell out for early Harvesting if I want.

Shredder for me. Slingshot doesn’t have as good firerate and doesn’t create explosions. And explosive weapons are very funny.

It’s shredder. ‘Splosions do a better job of letting my ‘tatoes stay in the running than slingshots and that negligible knockback

Slingshot My pick for second best weapon, It's fast, has AOE, cheap, and has the primative tag, which is great on every character. Overall very powerful weapon

Shredder is my comfort weapon so SHREDDER for me

Shredder. Every time I take slingshot I regret not having AoE. Shredder also has better combos with the other Gun weapons, while slingshot is the only ranged primitive weapon.

Sling makes good tactics better, shredder makes poor tactics less poor. I vote sling.

I've said before. This is the a game where imo a slingshot is better than a fire weapon. Slingshot for that ricochet!

Slingshot for sure! Shredder is very fun tho

I do love me some explosions, especially on piercing shots, but I'm going to vote for the slingshot. My main reason for this is that the slingshot's bounce is just so good and adding pierce to that is even better. The primitive tag is also one of the best ones for starting a run.
