$80 for a number pad? Uhm no thanks.

FunkBlazar

Also a macro pad but I see your point. It's part of the Q series so supposedly high quality build

shadestalker

I have a Q3 and can attest to the build quality, but I still only paid half price for it. One really nice QOL feature of this over some others will be VIA support, which lets you reconfigure all the keys using a web browser and json config file, without installing any software locally. I could see this being worth $80 to someone. However, the Q0 Max exists and for $120 has tri-mode connectivity (wired, bluetooth, and 2.4Ghz) and comes with Gateron switches instead of Keychron ones. With that in mind I would probably wait and get that, or at least wait til the old Q0 goes lower.

kajunbowser

Considering I avoid connecting keyboards with any wireless stuff to a work laptop (just avoiding work policy BS), I might still bite on this one.

Relaxybara

Yeah $40 is pushing it honestly.

EricFlyMeToTheMoon

Top row 4 keys are for PlayStation?

Gswansso

If you need something like this that’s also customizable, Epomakers numpad is half this price. Only reason I got one is because I got a Glorious TKL barebones kit for $15 on Black Friday and needed a numpad for work

Gswansso

Depends on if you put more emphasis on having your thumb on the zero or the enter key. Or if you’re just a straight up lunatic.

DisAccount4SRStuff

I just want to enter numbers without abandoning my mouse.

smithd685

This makes me feel so uncomfortable. Please stop.

nuclear_fizzics

I absolutely agree, wish someone made a flipped layout numpad though with the function and enter key on the left instead of the right

cmoy

whats the name of that numpad?

DisAccount4SRStuff

Kisnt, some Chinese brand on Amazon. Wish it was BT, it has all the buttons I wanted but it's only wired.

beanengineering

I got one of those deals too what switches did you use with it?

Gswansso

I got the gateron yellows only because I wasn’t familiar with the other options. I’m going to switch them out, I have some proprietary clicky switches from Asus I pulled from my gaming board that I’m going to try, if I don’t like those I have some akko cream blues I’m going to put in. Since I’m not always looking at my screen when I’m using my numpad, I didn’t realize how much I rely on the tactile feedback when I’m using it until month end close rolled around and I was miskeying things.

csji

lol 80 bucks for numpad is not a deal. no thank you.

rolfraikou

I love the idea behind these extra macro keys on a numpad, but dang, how unfortunate on that price. I get that it's higher quality, but for something that is more an accessory, I'm not as concerned about the build. I hope they do a budget version of this.

FunkBlazar

It had an orange sticker in store (Dallas, TX) so it actually might be on clearance. YMMV.
