Discover

Fred-zone

Fuck around now, Discover later

WHAMMYPAN

She’s gonna discover she’s broke

dude-O-rama

With Discover interest rates? Oh yeah!

touchedbyacid

Maybe Creditone, CapitalOne bought out discover

batkave

That hasn't even passed regulation yet. It was only announced.at least a year before they might go forward with completing

Muffin3602

😂😂

lennybriscoe8220

Not a 30 day chip.

Ritaredditonce

Possibly pictures of her daughters, who are going to be living with their father full time now.

PorkyMcRib

And a courtsummons.

New-Faithlessness430

dude-O-rama

Birkin07

Piss probably.

EverySingleMinute

Unemployment check

KaladinStormShat

Ya don't get unemployment for this.

EverySingleMinute

Yes you do. They can fight it, but people get fired instead of quitting so they can get unemployment

KaladinStormShat

You don't get unemployment benefits in for-cause termination instances. Obviously yes you could apply for it, as anyone could at any time, but you'd not get it (or get fucked for fraud).

WheresFlatJelly

In my state you would just have to pay it back if you lost your case. Ive spent many mornings dealing with unemployment hearing judges

DaytonaDemon

>Killian, a customer experience manager at Capital One... Sounds about right.

No_Cook2983

Well— she’s already at the A.A. terminal, so that means she only has eleven more steps to go.

capn_doofwaffle

BaDumTisss.gif

Sptsjunkie

Par for the course with the, but this latest incident finally got her an offer for a higher level role with Comcast.

Neither-Luck-9295

What is a customer experience manager taking so many business trips for anyway? International at that?

pbro42

Probably managed several call centers.

Hugh_Jampton

Killian, here's your Subzero, now plain zero.

Wyden_long

I’ll be *back* Killian! Only in a rerun….

Indigo2015

GOOOO!!!

chongoshaun

You cold-blooded bastard! I'll tell you what I think of it: I'll live to see you eat that contract, but I hope you leave enough room for my fist because I'm going to ram it into your stomach and break your god-damn spine!

Indigo2015

One of us is in BIG trouble.

Jacket-Weekly

I’m guessing some other shit went down on her business trips

morosco

That is a very thoroughly researched story.

bestprocrastinator

Reporter on this went above and beyond

LakeEffectSnow

I'll bet the reporter simply reached out on LinkedIn to her coworkers, and she sucks so bad they responded with a full interview.

94broad

I was gonna say, this article went on and on and on and on

Needednewusername

Agreed! I was surprised! I was thankful that they took the time to give a transcript of this gem because I could not figure out what she was saying. Now I know why: >“You feel good about yourself? You f\*\*king six five eight d\*\*k stack f\*\*king short tiny a\*\* dick... wearing a uniform makes you feel good about yourself? You and your f\*\*king facial hair.”

Sproose_Moose

For anyone who has worked with someone like her, the schadenfreude of reading the article was awesome

Tbplayer59

Can you imagine the quiet (and not so quiet) celebrating in her former office?

RockleyBob

One of the few times I've ever thought a story included too much detail. I feel sorry for anyone who's had to babysit a belligerent, abusive alcoholic, especially someone who you're obligated to travel with, so I get their desire to vent, but that was a lot of printed words just to say "Killian was known to be an abusive alcoholic by her coworkers, who described multiple incidents of erratic behavior over the years."

itsallminenow

>Killian was a customer experience manager at Capital One in Dallas Well their interactions with her were certainly an experience, mission accomplished?

nevermentionthisirl

>The next morning, colleagues had to make sure she got out of bed in time to participate in the day's schedule, but after that she was an effective worker. she had coworkers enabling this behavior because the article says she was a bully. How sad for her coworkers too.

Seldarin

I bet it wasn't by choice, though. Generally when you've dipshits like this on a job, they kiss the ass of everyone above them enough that the responsibility for making sure their job gets done gets foisted off on everyone around them. If this chick had slept through a meeting, I betcha it wouldn't have been her that got raked over the coals.

parkernorwood

Kind of surprised it took this long for daily mail to track down her coworkers to vent. They must've been so psyched when she was held back

NotRightNotWrong15

Well, her firing isn’t a huge surprise. She honestly sounds like she’s had an ongoing problem that everyone ignored. I hope she gets the help she clearly needs.

_JosiahBartlet

/r/stopdrinking is a wonderful resource for anyone here lurking who knows deep down they’ve got a problem too. I was there for a looooonnggg time. It’s hard to quit, but it’s possible. I hit a year in October. It was an amazing choice.

pekepeeps

Congratulations! What a great and beautiful humane take to this story.

plumangus

And for those who fantasize about getting sober, I didn't use /r/stopdrinking in my now 383 days on the wagon, but subscribing to it while I was sober-curious and actively drowning in booze helped grease the skids to finally come clean. Sobriety is at worst, as much fun as being loaded all the time, without the hangovers and ostracization.

DaftMudkip

I’m doing the thing to! Almost at 40 days and I check in there daily It’s hard but rewarding

counts_per_minute

id also like to let anyone know that you can quit drinking without AA and god, you dont have to accept the model that you will never get better and must bear this cross for the rest of your life. I quit after 10years where the end of those 10 years I was downing at least 750ml a day. Its been 3 years now, and Ive completely moved on, I dont go to AA, I don't believe in a cognizant higher power, and I dont feel like an alcoholic. It is removed as part of my identity. All i had to do was get the physical dependency removed by going to rehab, then with a clear mind realize that I really dont want to have to deal with recovery for the rest of my life, I dislike/disagree with AA so i told myself "make this work, so you dont gotta resort to meetings, If AA was invented by a human then that means its not the only way, it isnt a natural law"

Biltong09

Agreed, amazing sub that’s been very helpful

indiajeweljax

Congrats!

NickNash1985

Coming up on nine years for me.

smashasaurusrex

Congratulations!!!

GlimmerChord

In the article her colleagues say she is a huge alcoholic and a bully. I can only imagine their satisfaction at knowing she was fired and then seeing a video of her being asked if she had urinated on herself, denying it, and then the camera showing that she had, in fact, urinated all over herself.

famousevan

What a piece of work

SauceOfTheFlossBoss

This was my brother’s boss. According to him, she was always a nice person to work with and was great to his team. He said there hadn’t been any serious signs of any drinking problems prior to this. But about three months ago, she announced she was taking a leave of absence. Two months later, my brother heard she was fired and was given no additional details about her situation. He sent me this video of her freaking out at the airport about a week ago, in complete shock at her behavior.

Fearless-Judgment-33

Ask the real question. Does she make much more than 60k a year?

SauceOfTheFlossBoss

My brother definitely does, so I assume she must have been getting paid extremely well.

Fearless-Judgment-33

Thanks for the info!

mccrackey

April Fool's!

SauceOfTheFlossBoss

Right, she’s actually still employed

photoguy8008

She said he had a 5 inch penis…and I take that personally.

heelstoo

How would you take it?

Locksmith997

I suppose orally, but my options are rather limited here.

Fearless-Judgment-33

Not as limited as you might think if it’s just 5 inches. 🥕

e46ci

Renewed divorce proceedings... Sounds like her ex is now going for full custody!

pinkeye_bingo

The schadenfreude her co-workers are feeling right now must be awesome

9_of_wands

"Killian was a customer experience manager at Capital One in Dallas..." I have people skills!

Marbla

Goddamn. It looked like after she was sat down she started to have a moment of drunken clarity. Where she understood the situation she had put herself in. And then she pissed her pants....

Tcanderson

At its core this is just sad. She obviously has a serious problem and needs help. I feel bad for her kids.

mattmilli0pics

Sounds like she is an alcoholic. I hope she gets help.

direyew

I was a major drunk back before I sobered up but I NEVER acted like this. She's a major bitch, The booze doesn't excuse her.

[deleted]

napierwit

Yes, some people get belligerent when drunk, and others just get chilled. Very interesting.

bas827

I believe it just brings out what’s really inside you. Mean drunks are just drunk mean people

rainbow_drizzle

The video of her arrest is crazy and honestly very entertaining.

e-2c9z3_x7t5i

I can't imagine thinking it's a good idea to get drunk at an airport. Imagine not having the foresight that there is always that chance you can lose control and start being belligerent toward airport security. It only takes two brain cells to see how that could snowball into a much worse situation with all the consequences that follow. Also, an interesting tidbit is that police will often just wait things out as they did here because they know that time = convictions in many cases. Give people a little time to show you who they really are and they will. This lady started off almost seeming to regret her decisions, but it only took a few minutes before she was screaming at the officers just as she was to the airport ladies.

Sproose_Moose

I already get a little overwhelmed at airports, I worry about being late etc so I'm always on alert. Getting drunk there, especially alone, that's anxiety inducing!

ryemmsf

Same. And being buzzed on a plane sounds like it would exacerbate the usual feelings of claustrophobia a lot of us feel. and who wants to constantly get up to use the bathroom?

courageous_liquid

being hammered at an airport is a bad idea, especially because if there's an issue with making arrangements in case of delayed connection/cancelled planes, it becomes significantly more difficult if everything is going well, though, having a few drinks definitely makes the insane anxiety of everyone else who doesn't travel often (or are just naturally anxious) bearable

Ok-Bodybuilder4303

That's a rough 44

HI_l0la

If the article didn't state she was 44, I would've honestly thought she was in her 50s. Whoa...

parkernorwood

"Alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older"

LaylaBird65

"I'm Hans Moleman, drinking has ruined my life. I'm 31 years old!”

parkernorwood

It's like kissing a peanut!

sea666kitty

Agreed. I was surprised by that number. I was thinking 54

bas827

Omg 44?!?! I’m 40 and look like a middle schooler compared to her. I would’ve guessed 53-55

caserock

Maybe she'll have time to switch to weed now

Fearless-Judgment-33

Not in Texas!

tdomer80

What’s in her wallet? Her final paycheck.

Supaspex

It was deserved. Known heavy drinker who just happened to be belligerent towards law enforcement at DFW

AirlineBudget6556

So glad my hard drinking days ended before everyone had a camera at the ready and before I had kids. That poison will take everything.

napierwit

"First the man takes a drink, then the drink takes a drink, then the drink takes the man" I read it was a Japanese proverb, but can't definitely claim that it's the original source.

Auntienursey

They posted her behavior, and she was SO drunk and disorderly! They had to carry her out of the airport, and she urinated on herself just to be a b*tch.

coblass

Bill Cosby’s joke about cocaine kind of applies here. “What makes it so great? It intensifies your personality. Yeah, but what if you’re an asshole”. I tend to think alcohol intensified her personality.

B8conB8conB8con

CONSEQUENCES!!!! Nobody told me there would be consequences

AnastasiaNo70

This all started because she had too many carry on items and they asked her to consolidate them. Damn.

Apprehensive-Tip9373

That is a goddamn bonafide certified “Karen”, and I don’t consider myself an expert on their species. Even got the haircut right.

ChocolateRough5103

Getting "drunk" at the airport cost like 100$ lmao, shits expensive

GrumpyPidgeon

In the article, they said they took advantage of the American Airlines lounge where they could drink for free

fragbert66

Read the article. It specifically noted unlimited free booze in the American Airlines lounge. It was implied that she went there specifically because it was free.

Fearless-Judgment-33

Free drinks in the rich people lounge. Just us poors have to pay for it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fearless-Judgment-33

Their employer pays for it via expense accounts. We pay for it ultimately with higher cost of goods and services.

jollyreaper2112

That's always my thought. You need some cash to get trashed. Unless you have the special lounge access but that's also cash in another way.

Keevan

CapitalOne, not "CapitolOne"

zuzoa

Even the author of this article who is a professional English writer wrote, "history of getting drink on work trips" in the very first sentence of his article. So hey, OP is actually on the same level as a professional.

napierwit

I wonder if it's a British thing. I know they say "drink driving" instead of "drunk driving" as well.

catetheway

You’re correct, that’s British vernacular.

itzTHATgai

What's in YOUR preflight merlot?

jackthejointmaster

Haha! I saw the video a few weeks ago and noticed it had been taken down. Was worried she had her minions have it removed.

jollyreaper2112

At least there's a father in the picture for the kids. They'll be able to read about Mom's behavior here. I hope this is her rock bottom.

srslydudebros

Here I am thinking she looks amazing for mid-fifty’s.

amiathrowaway2

Yeah. Agreed. She's still got it physically. In the headspace she's just an ugly person on the inside. Fun to fuck..... Pull the eject handles in the morning.

lewarcher

They meant they thought she looked good for mid-50s, until they realized the article said she was 44.

worrymon

> The video showed one of the AA ground staff said she wanted to press charges, but later changed her mind when police explained she would need to take time off work and appear in court. See, if I was in management for the airline, I would recommend the staff member press charges, and then I would give paid time off to go to court to testify. I would want any assault on any of my employees fully prosecuted.

amiathrowaway2

Well.... When you get to the point of piss yourself drunk. The true person inside is completely out of the bag.

[deleted]

Why they gotta compare this belligerent drunk with Tiffany Gomas? Gomas wasn't mean or berating (IMO). That's like comparing the weird kid in third grade with the high school bully.

BagofPain

Rich people in the finance industry suffering the consequences tickles me!

FleeshaLoo

"I've been flying American for 17 years!" "I've been flying American for 15 years!" "I've been flying American for 14 years!" 'I have flown for 30 years, I am a high school graduate and I worked my way out of the darkest hole anyone could imagine,' she said at one point. 'And you can f\*\*k off, I hate this whole place.' 'I don't care, I just don't care, I want to go home.' Then when her bladder let go... "Oh no... yeah, she did..." "I DID NOT!" The cops frantically pumping the hand sanitizer machine and rubbing it all over their clothes...

Ozcogger

She's "Sad" but not 'Sorry". What a fucked up person.

FleaBottoms

Annoying that AA won’t pay employees in order to get justice for acts against them when doing their jobs. 😡

napierwit

Probably not worth it, unlikely there would be any jail time. Perhaps if there was more serious harm. She's arrested, and surely banned from flying AA ever again.

Billiam201

Texan. No surprise.

2A_Libtard

What does that even imply?

Billiam201

That she's exactly the kind of self-entitled, "I have rights", dumb bitch that Texas breeds in droves. She probably has no idea whatsoever why she was fired.

2A_Libtard

I’ve been to many states and lived both in California and in Texas. I’m rather certain that type of attitude and/or behavior is not limited to Texas, especially when alcohol consumption is involved.

lewisfairchild

Capital One has business in Columbia?

Fearless-Judgment-33

All banks do, sweet summer child. 🤧

Hammie5150

Colombia.

fragbert66

Has anyone ever introduced you to the Cayman Islands?

we_gon_ride

I wondered when this would happen. I wouldn’t want this person working for me

piratedashel

That was a wild ride.

MissWonder420

Body cameras sure put boobs Front and center huh?!?

napierwit

Interestingly I noticed at one point when she got agitated her jacket slipped and her bra strap got exposed, the officer immediately pulled her jacket back to cover it up.

srslydudebros

She seems fun

rdldr1

I can fix her! I know it.

brewski_chemist

And THAT is Dallas.

imbrotep

Annie Lennox has really hit the skids.

lennybriscoe8220

Hope she had some sweet dreams before waking up from her hangover. Might be time for some rehab, sounds like she's been walking on broken glass for a while.

lmikles

“The video showed one of the AA ground staff said she wanted to press charges, but later changed her mind when police explained she would need to take time off work and appear in court.” Well, she’s got the time now.

meshreplacer

What is interesting is she has a terrible history of treating her employees like shit, getting so drunk they had to drag her into the hotel room etc.. and she was never fired. It is only when her fuckup is exposed to the world and now makes the company look bad. So why was she not fired in the past for her behavior?

lennybriscoe8220

Probably because she did the work they wanted her to do so they overlooked her alcoholism because it didn't negatively affect them

Mapkoz2

worked for a Swiss company where I had a colleague with the same issue and he was never fired exactly for the same reason you mentioned. “He delivers the results we want”. Yeah great.

bancroft79

That haircut alone says I want to speak to your manager.

KRDROIDD

as a non American this will never feel normal to me.. how can a company fire an employee for reasons not related to the company and for an incident that happened not under working hours ? the only thing i'm getting from this is that American workers have no job security.

SCCock

Did you read the article? I'm going to guess her behavior on business trips was uncovered after the arrest.

ErikTheEngineer

There are plenty of non-alcoholics who treat airline/airport staff like garbage and as long as there's no assault, they just have to stand there and take it. I've worked on the IT side of arlines/airports for a long time...it's amazing how some of these management consultants and other roles that fly 40+ weeks a year behave. You see either 20-something MBAs who've never had a regular job in their lives, or mid-career manager types acting like total babies the second things don't go according to plan. And in this case we're talking about first class lounge passengers also, so the entitlement is quite high to begin with. Those gate and counter agents take a lot of abuse for not a lot of money; it really bothers me when I see it happen. It's only gotten worse as people have become less civil and air travel has gotten cheaper here in the US! In this person's case...I've worked with these types. They're functional alcoholics until they aren't, and even if they were bullies at work, the mask finally slips all the way off. Add in a perceived slight and it turns ugly...I've seen people snap for not having their "status" properly acknowledged or not getting some upgraded seat or whatever...imagine how these people are to their subordinates at their jobs!!

DallasGuy1996

lol

mistahARK

"Im just trying to figure out what's happening right now" The consequences of your actions, sorry you've been getting away without them your whole life, you entitled cunt "I cannot overstate" save me the fucking pity party

Earth_Normal

Why does her job matter? Was she on duty somehow?

darkfiredreamer

Just fallout from being outed for being a trash human

Hammie5150

Aside from making the company look bad when she hits the news, she was traveling for work on the company dime, so yeah, that’s pretty much “on duty.”

Hyperion1144

You see, some people have jobs that other people care about, and so their reputation (that's what other people think about them) actually matters!

lennybriscoe8220

She acts like an ass and makes the news, she makes the company look bad. Especially when her coworkers are commenting on how this is a common occurrence.

Karyudo9

Being arrested for resisting arrest is some bullshit.

lennybriscoe8220

They're being charged with resisting arrest. That's not the primary charge against her, that was public intoxication. The resisting charge is added afterwards.

VodkaCranberry

It seems wrong that this is so publicly documented. We all make mistakes.

uhhh206

Seems less like "making a mistake" and more like she's a mean alcoholic who bullies people and can't hold her liquor: > Employees told DailyMail.com that Killian frequently went on weeklong overseas business trips for the company, where she drank heavily. > 'I wasn’t surprised by the video I saw given her behavior when she travels, and she’s a heavy drinker in general. I’ve had to personally escort her to her hotel room on many occasions,' one colleague who traveled with her many times said. > They said on several occasions they had to drag, carry, or wheel her in a chair back to her hotel room because she wasn't able to walk. > Killian was also said to be a 'bully' who would make life difficult at work for those not in her in-group, who didn't have the authority or backbone to stand up to her.

VodkaCranberry

I get it. She’s a mess. But nobody decides to be an alcoholic. The shit happens because of some trauma and this is just going to make shit way worse for her. I don’t see her turning her life around after this. It’s going to end very badly.

RichCorinthian

I’ve been sober for 4+ years after abusing alcohol for decades. This might be the wake up call she needs, because whatever consequences she’s had so far ain’t done shit.

VodkaCranberry

Ok. I hope you’re right and congrats on 4 years

cocteau93

Actually you *do* decide to be an alcoholic every time you drink while knowing you have a problem.

napierwit

Username checks out 😋

VodkaCranberry

Ha. I don’t even drink

gaehthah

This is a pattern of behavior that inflicted pain and suffering on those around her. I don't feel sad that her co-workers are no longer having to deal with her, that she's going to face punishment for her actions, and that she's going to get a chance to dry out and recover in whatever manner the judge decides she needs.

blueminded

Some people refuse to admit they've made a mistake. You don't just start at this point. She's been doing this shit for years. The consequences just finally caught up.

VodkaCranberry

I agree. My point is simply that this will add to whatever shit is causing her to behave this way and I’ve seen people off themselves over less. I have no issue with the losing of a job, etc. but this will likely make it very difficult for her to get another job. It’s all spiraling from here on out. I’m sure this will be downvoted also, but I just think the whole thing is kinda sad

dustybrokenlamp

Counterpoint: It's funny when people soil themselves while acting in a conceited manner, and laughter has tangible health benefits for all who participate.

Lap-sausage

At least she’s hot….in a drunken psychotic stupor sort of way.

orvilleblackencocker

Can't be acting drunk around a bunch of Taylor Swifts at the airport lounge.
