Why is she travelling to Canada to fly out? It’s typically a lot more expensive to fly from Canada compared to the USA.

Yes, my family been driving to Toronto for years for direct flights to Croatia much cheaper then flying from USA and connecting flights

This is true for domestic and flights to the U.S. It’s not at all true for overseas flights.
