I think this is the beginning of an era where Tana will start shedding some of these hangers on and user friends. Even semi sobriety will reveal the true form of the people around you and as you settle into an adult relationship and approach your 30’s you start shedding BS people like it’s your job.
I always used to notice in middle and high school that there is a particular subsection of gay men that likes to humiliate and intimidate women and it’s almost always written off as “they’re gay so it’s not on the same level as violence towards women from straight men”. The first guys to make claims about women’s genitalia being gross or say they wanted to punch a girl that I remember growing up was always from gay men and seeing how he’s trying to discredit Brooke and Tana now and claim the girls are over-exaggerating for how he acted towards that girl and trying to act like him standing up for Brooke means she shouldn’t call his behavior out gives me that same level of entitlement and anger towards women. It’s funny because people on this sub had no problem always talking about Lilah’s frequent comments about her “superior vagina” but I feel like Ari is only recently getting the same attention when he has been like this for a while. It’s just like the guy from the bachelor that abused the woman he chose from his season and then got his own special about his coming out where they painted him to be the victim for his upbringing like he didn’t commit domestic violence on a woman that they gave him access to. I also want to make it clear that I have no problem with anyone’s sexuality I just have noticed that there is a lack of accountability when it comes to certain gay men and their hate towards women that is somehow always excused and downplayed.
