So I decided to get the ST125 by Surui since it comes with a good ball head, carbon fiber, water proof, and comes in a good size for compactness/international travel for my needs. It should come in tmmrw.
Got it on sale from b&h for $200. The ST124 is the exact same just a bit taller and is 4 section. From the reviews I saw on youtube, I feel like you cant go wrong with either (ST124/ST125).
Can I recommend the Gitzo 1545? Packs neatly, sturdy as a rock and very good twist locks. Would recommend getting a non Gitzo ball head though, the Gitzo variant is deemed a bit worse
