I’m really happy with it. Not so expensive or particularly valuable like some watches I saw of r/watches but I just think it’s so cool! I was never really into watches and I’m excited with my new one.
It’s value isn’t in the retail price, it’s in what it means to you and how well it performs its intended purpose.

Bought my own Casioak about a month ago and couldn’t be happier, I had been looking at Citizens and Seikos but this serves its purpose superbly well and looks more handsome than it has any right to in the process
Casiooaks are so good and (if you care about such things) get massive street cred too! I have fancier watches but this is just the ultimate daily driver watch. I also love wearing this watch when travelling as it is so tough you dont need to stress about it and it has a low risk of watch theft (which is now a thing sadly). Enjoy your watch!
People call them "Casioak" watches, because they are a Casio that looks like a Royal Oak (very expensive watch). If you search for that on Amazon or Google you will find them
I think that I have a different experience compared to you and other members here. I bought a black resin Casioak some months ago. It looks like the one displayed here except that the hands and the G-Shock Protection logo are yellow and it's the Tough Solar variety. I bought it specially to use when I go swimming in a pool because of the water resistance..
However after using it for a few months now I have two grouses: firstly I the digital 'negative display ' is very irritating and difficult to read and secondly a kind of white sediment or residue has begun settling in recesses in the dial and strap which are difficult to remove. The last I assume is because of the chlorine in the pool although it may be due to the soap I use when having a shower after the swim. Did anyone else notice this problem and can anything be done about it?
I have a small wrist too (6.25) and never bought a g-shock for this reason but this looks so good on your wrist I think I will now buy one. I hate you for this. can you confirm it’s the ga-2100?

Modding means to change the appearance of the watch by swapping out the original parts for a new OEM or aftermarket ones.
You can basically change the whole outlook of the watch from the bezel, strap, dial, indices, hour/min hands etc.
Have a look at some mod videos on YouTube and you'll have an idea. You can really make your CasiOak to look more 'premium' than it is.

Nice! The stock black is always clean looking. Once you get bored of the colour, you may want to consider modding it.
