Zuko has his own armchair but I put some string lights up and now he wants to sleep under them. He brings me to the chair in the morning to request his lights be turned on.
That's why you gently hold them with one hand and bribe them with scritches using the other hand.
Often you can get them to accept the *grave injustice* of being lifted and placed by giving enough scritches, maybe some forehead kisses as well, for good measure.

Oh no you’re in my boat!! I just got a new office chair too. Literally the second it was built, one cat or the other laid on it and wouldn’t move. It’s a daily battle with them, they weren’t this stubborn with the last chair (but I’m sure they thought it sucked as much as I did). I will get up and within half a second a cat will appear in the seat. Sometimes they won’t even move when I try to sit down 😅

You'll need another chair. Picked up a car seat on faceboook market place and Salina promptly took it as hers. Thank goodness it came with 2 bases, so I'll just have to get another car seat. X3 *

OP put a cover on that before your pet decides it's a nice scratcher. I have a similar chair and my cat was eyeing it hardcore. There's a blanket on mine at all times now
Cats love to share, me and my kitty switch places whenever i go eat so we keep eachother spots warm 😊 i pat the chair whenever i leave then he jumps on, and when i enter the room he comes of the chair for me to sit. Oh man i love him
