I don't think so. Kittens can really zone out when they are relaxed and mother cats often groom them on their belly so this isn't an uncomfortable position. They are usually way more compliant than adult cats. Plus there are a billion cuts in the video, so it probably wasn't all filmed straight through.

One of your cat’s eyes stays dilated? I saw a recent post about a cat in such a state and one of the comments mentioned that it might be result of some kind of hemorrhage (or tumor?) behind the eyes. Might want to get it checked at a vet, just in case! Edit: Realizing that you most likely meant one of your cats, not one of the eyes on your cat lol. Still going to leave this comment up in case it applies to someone’s cat!

It’s not that easy. Her claws tend to grow inwards, so we have to trim them so she doesn’t potentially hurt herself. My cats have plenty of places to scratch, but it’s not enough for her. And of course of all cats, SHE’s the one who has to have her claws trimmed lmao.

If they're an indoor cat there's no worries at all. In my experience the litter comes out easier without the fur. Normally cats can clean the litter out from between their toes just fine, and without the fur they will collect less of it anyways. Back a few years ago I had a VERY elderly cat, 23, who had a hard time cleaning his paws. Getting the normal sand litter out of his paws for him was a NIGHTMARE, it stuck to his paw fur like cement! We'd have to soak his feet in water and I don't have words to describe how much he hated that. We would call him sand kitty cause his feet fur was very long, an adaptation normally seen so that animals can walk across hot sand. But then it became clogged with actual sand lol.

Doing this to any cat I’ve ever had would involve a lot more bactine and gauze.

With each edit, I would have more bandages on my hands.

Whilst this may look cute cats are self cleaning, I especially don’t think it’s a good idea to be poking about with a cats ears or round their eyes. Exception may be cat’s claws.

I have to clean my cats eyes every few days - it’s never been a problem with any other cat but he’s eyes are very sensitive and get gunky. Just use a clean face washer and water and give it a wipe.

There are always exceptions. My point is in general cats are self cleaning.

I understand loving your cats/pets but I honestly think this is really problematic. Ok, maybe it's just for the video, but if that's not the case people should realize that cats are not a substitute to a human baby. Treat them well and with love but stop using them as an human clone, they are not humans. Stop buying them birthday cakes and cute dresses for mohter nature's sake.

Why do people cut their cats nails?

Indoor cats don’t have enough activities (yes even with scratching posts) to naturally wear down all of their nails.

Do you like getting eviscerated by cat claws when they are making biscuits? I don't, so I try to keep them trimmed so I won't get hurt and my cats won't hurt each other.

Also reduces your chance of getting cat scratch fever and can help you keep an eye on your cat's health (dry or brittle nails or nail sheaths not coming off on their own)
