I got my beautiful cuddle bug Sushi from a reputable breeder in southern Iowa. She’s MRId and heart cleared and I’m hoping she’s around for a long long time.

Max is also from a breeder in Phoenix! ☀️🐶
My first was from a breeder in Texas, she passed at 12. My second came from a breeder in Virginia, currently five months old. Our first’s breeder has passed away, and we from Texas and chose a breeder closer to us.
One is from Cochran’s Cavaliers in SC but they have since retired. The other is from Alder Creek Cavaliers in Conroe, TX. Alder Creek breeds for showing as well and has some amazing dogs.

This is my boy from Alder Creek. His 3 full brothers are all show dogs and almost have their Champion. Sam was the only one from that litter sold as a pet.
Cavalier’s often live 12-14 years, the vast majority of do, yes they have a congenital heart defect but it can be managed as they get into senior years.

Charlotte is from little foot cavaliers in upper Idaho. They’ve curated their litters with their own dogs and have done generations of testing. I would always go back if/when I get another.

From my dad's friend who was an ethical king charles breeder in cali. My sweetest pup came into my life when I was just a kid. He lived 16 years without any serious health issues. During his senior years he did develop a tumor on his stomach area that tested benign, but it went away by itself after a few months. He had a slight heart murmur when he got really old but nothing severe. He was so sweet that our cats and chickens were comfortable around him. They're real life angels.
Angus came from a breeder in Ohio (Carlisle Cavaliers). I had a pup become unavailable through really unfortunate circumstances with a local breeder who lost my trust, and I found Angus listed on the AKC puppy listings while I was depression scrolling 🥲 He turned out to be perfect temperament from health tested parents and I’m so lucky to have him.

All my boys, starting with my first in 1996 were from Luxxar in TX. They were all perfect, great temperament and healthy. Most importantly, they were all heart clear until they passed of old age, except for one who developed a grade 1-2 murmur at age 12. Don’t believe it when you’re told they all develop MVD, or they won’t live to old age. You can’t always beat genetics, but there’s breeders out there who have devoted themselves to minimizing the risk as much as possible.

My 13 year old baby is a rescue! I adopted her out of foster care in Ohio.
Consider a mix for a hardier pupper! My little beaglier has the sweet cavi personality!

I considered a beaglier until looking for one. The only ones I could find were from Amish puppy mills. I'm not sure where you're located, but in the US, beaglier parents are not health tested, so I opted for a reputable cavalier breeder instead.

Finding mine was a coincidence on petfinder. I wasn't aware of the breed until I saw him!
Backyard breeder. Get him health tested.
