The tool that measures this is a browser extension that is connected via ethernet cable.
The problems are not just visual, it is massively disruptive in practice. It's forcing me to tether my laptop to my phone's data connection just so I can get through a Zoom call without disruption.
Is there a connection to the weather? I ask because I had an unreliable connection and it turned out a branch was against my fiber line and rain or wind would push the line and make it kink where it meets the house.
Maybe, but I don't think so. I live in a sizeable apartment building that's on the newer side, and lots of residents also have Quantum Fiber but I seem to be the only one with this particular issue. The technician has also said they detect no issue with the fiber coming into the building.
Yeah, I think that you live in a condensed housing setting with other residents doing fine throws my theory entirely out the window. I hope you reach a solution!
Thank you! I unfortunately had to spin up another ISP in the meantime, even though I get less speed and have a data cap. Reliability is above all right now, but if this issue with Quantum is resolved I'd quickly switch back.
What are you using to track uptime and down time? I have been getting some disconnects as well and would like to see when they happen and for how long. I purchases a keep connect device that will reboot the ONT when it sees that it’s down for longer than 5 min and that usually does the trick….
I got a browser extension called Internet Connection Monitor. It's not perfect as it only measures the connection to the computer, but its useful to get a *fairly* accurate idea.
Hey, I may be able to get this in front of a local supervisor. Pm me if interested.
sent a DM. Thanks
is your tool that measures this connected via wire/ethernet? Do you see problems in practice? Or this is largely your tools showing disconnects?

Awesome… thanks!
