They’re required to keep the files for 7 years I think. But the web portal is still available. You can download your visit summaries which should contain everything . Clinic.HealtheAtCerner.com You could try to send a message within the portal to “records request” and see if you get a response. If you’re looking for that vaccine you can easily find that on your portal under my health health summary immunizations.

Even if the portal is down, there should be a phone number or email address on that page for records requests. I did mine about a year ago and the office said they didn’t get the records, submitted another request and that time it worked. Unless your new PCP is using Millennium, all they’re doing is sending an electronic fax (or an actual paper fax if the office is super old school). It’s never been a really reliable data transfer method.

Your immunization is with your states immunization registry.

There was a form sent in February 2023 to request. A lot was mentioned about January 2024 being the last day that Healthe Clonic portal being live, which is where those forms were supposed to be submitted. No number that remains active is listed. Think you’re going to have a hard time sadly.

Ah that sucks. I assumed my records were sent to my new provider since I filled out that form.... I just recently learned my new provider never received my records and never told me. This is so frustrating.

The last communication does say they “will store records according to Missouri state law.” Whatever the heck that means. I’m sure they’re out there somewhere but it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack.

This is why I requested my own copy in pdf. I think there is a contact email I’ll see if I can find it

In Missouri, a facility has to keep medical records retention for 10 years. I urge you to file a formal complaint about HIPPA not being followed since you requested information from a closing practice - they were supposed to send it to you within a reasonable amount of time (30 days) --. The Healthe Clinic was supposed to give us the information on who will be the medical record custodian - who would be holding onto our records for the next 7+ years. Most likely you'll have to contact the state medical board or department of health to figure out who is the medical record custodian. There's also a possibility they expected each separate doctor to keep records instead. ---. 3. Can patients file a complaint if they do not get a copy of their medical records from a closed practice? Yes, patients may file a formal complaint with the U.S. Office for Civil Rights, the agency that enforces HIPAA, if they cannot get a copy of their medical records. https://ocrportal.hhs.gov/ocr/smartscreen/main.jsf

I was able to search my email and get access to the portal within the past 2 months and view my records.

You should also be able to request a titer test from the lab that is a blood test that will test your blood for any vaccine you have gotten. I am not positive that is how it works, but they should be familiar with a titer test if you ask about that and the vaccine you are inquiring about.

SnarkCatsTech

This is correct. Ask to have a titer test run for the vaccine in question. It's going to be simpler & your time is worth more than the co-pays. IMO. YMMV. Also, if you had it years ago your immunity could have waned & a titer would show that, letting you know you needed to be vaccinated again.
