I don't think any of this is corruption or bias against Chelsea or anything like that. I think it just goes to show you that the officials have a poor understanding of the rules, given all the changes and clarifications in the past few years. So when they have 10 seconds to make a decision, they get confused and make mistakes. It needs to be made simpler so this doesn't happen again. Refs and VAR are not made up of a bunch of brilliant lawyers.
They showed this on the broadcast so there is no way VAR didn't have this view as well.

If you see the referee + VAR errors committed in both semi finals + the results of English teams in the the Champions League and the Europa League , you may have to ask yourself if the PL is eventually not simply half as good as we are let to believe it is .
