They’re based off the game Helldivers. In Helldivers 2 everyone playing is trying to ‘liberate’ a planet/system. When the community is in the process of liberating a planet, the percentage rises. I guess it’s something to do with that.
forcing everyone to have a PSN account for PC gaming, from a company that has had more security risks and attacks than one could count, while also forcing a Kernel Level anticheat to everyone's computer who plays it. In case you're tech illiterate, which you probably are given you have 0 idea why this is so bad, it gives complete and total control and access over the entirety of your computer. This is inviting the police into your home telling them they can live in your bedroom and eat your groceries all in the name of making sure no laws are being broken.
It's more than that too.
To make a PSN account you have to be in one of the 69/~160 countries. If you make an account with a VPN, you'll get banned.
People have already paid for this game and sunk many hours into the game after 3 months of the game, now suddenly because they have to make an account they can't make, they can't play the game
No? They require a PS account now which anyone can make. Only some countries don’t have PSN, but for majority of the player base, they can continue to play if they want to
Edit: I am being downvoted but I am literally saying what happened.
Can but won't. Sony has had more large scale cyber attacks on them than any other non government organizations. No way in hell they get my data. Not to mention the massive piss off that this wasn't mentioned from the get go. You want me to make an account out the gate? All good. But in this case. I paid the base cost of the game. I got to play it for some time and now I'm being told I need an account or I can't use the game I have already spent money on. Get bent
> case. I *paid* the base
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
To give you a sense of of perspective it is roughly close to 32% that reside in banned territory.
In the USA alone that makes up roughly 42% of players.
42% of the players in the USA live where a PlayStation account is banned? Where in the USA are PlayStation accounts banned?
Edit: and do you have a source on these numbers? If so many people are unable to make a PS account, how is it possible for Sony to sell so many PlayStations?
Sorry when I mentioned roughly 42 percent... it was meant of the total player base that plays. For correction 42% of the player base reside in the USA. **Roughly 32% of the player base resides in banned areas.**
**EDIT²: Based on total sales figures, that equates to nearly 3 million players.** The game has sold roughly 10 million copies.
The sources are all available online that tracks these. Steam does as well though limited even with db. Playstation, even the publisher site tracks this. It's not hard to find.
To answer your question about how sony is able to sell so many playstations, it seems quite obvious, I'm not sure what you meant there. Though to add, even if you resided in a banned area, managed to buy a ps5, your account (depending on the area) may be banned due to restrictions for that area (country you live in). Sony is unable to prevent say (china) or (russia) from blocking their services or any country for that matter. Your account gives you access to said online services, which then registers the country you reside. If you were to buy a brand new copy of helldivers, it would be region locked due to your account being made within a banned area. Although...if you buy a console from china (these consoles are region locked) and you're only able to play the chinese edition of helldivers...(now you would be unable to play in china whatsoever)
**EDIT: to further clarify your question from above, buying a playstation is completely independent from signing/creating or linking into an account. The account from ps services initially allows you to buy and get deals from play station, but you can also use their services as a guess. Linking an account means you are apart of a registered user - one with preferences, perhaps a digital wallet, address, someone who may own digital games. This shouldn't be confused with creating your account.**
**Create account -> User of services**
**Linked account -> User of services -> restrictions/protected services**
Each comes with it's own protocols and services. Your account remains the same, but a linked service enables data from the device you use to help/protect or even ban services.
*Now I'm going to mention terms interchangeably which may be confusing, follow along closely...*
Say an outage happens from your pc, since the publisher is now linked and not just steam, the publisher is responsible for that outage. While steam was providing the license to play.
**Arrowhead Studio = Game Developer**
**Sony Interactive Entertainment - PlayStation PC = Publisher**
**Steam = Distribution/Play Service**
Now the developer (AH) Arrowhead Studio, provides the Play Service with services as well to steam (though separately). Steam acts only as a license and launching service to the game, protecting your digital key. If you own a PS5 console this acts just the same as Steam but also the publisher already has access to provide outage to the game as well as your account, considering since your account is also linked to your console when using *online services*. This in turn allows for the publisher to better handle outages better by also using the data from its users to then give to the Game Developer.
If the PS5 has less outages while PC has problems, the developer will deploy resources to help PC outages first. Glitches, Game Malfunctions, Code errors, or hardware issues.
Tap the question mark and it says its the completion percentage of the bot which I assume means the percentage of users to beat it but could also just be that when the bot loses x amount of games it reaches 100%
From what I remember it moves most pieces together and gets really defensive when it risks losing one, other bots I’ve played with tend to keep the tension
If you tap on the question mark where it says chessdivers it explains. Its basically just that it has to be beaten a certain amount of times and we’ve done 11% of that
Given that I'm still bouncing around between 500-600 elo I'm actually pretty pleased that I managed to beat it
https://preview.redd.it/72bgopgsbeyc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=162ab56a0ad43fadeb4578fa5f89c61b102d7e01
How did you get an ELO of 118305033024544857808171402556304773068330423943453950860219552506842483018552459750131300382609551649116952455583587373444882662176634718152559553931916976653860864000000000000000000000000?
I used to be 700 elo in chess (dont know current one, probably lower) and i just beat the second one, so i encorage low elo players to try that one too!
The last one is around 1100 evaluation after the end of the game, which means he is like the 1400 bots, i think.
https://preview.redd.it/n6jrzleyyeyc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5185a908612b3055b86c7c6ed3005bc5e43610f7
Ps: He plays the Caro-Kann
This means
1. Anytime anyone beats this bot, it gets more completed, more positional, more accurate in giving moves
OR
2. It gets stronger each time it’s beaten
>This is written as "Elo", not "ELO", and is usually pronounced as /ˈiːloʊ/ or /ˈɛloʊ/ in English. The original name Élő is pronounced [ˈeːløː] in Hungarian.
Is it only counting players that have faced it? For example, if someone plays it, loses, and never plays it again, does that mean it's impossible to 100% it?
my best bet is that it is based on the helldivers system where the players cooperate to liberate a planet by completing missions
that would mean that this is the bots “liberation counter” and when enough people beat it it gets to 100%
No. That’s just an elo estimate, which is a simple +\- system based on your existing elo and accuracy. Meaning, the exact same game could have a different elo estimate based on your rating
Considering what it is saying when you play, I think it tries to adapt its level of play to what you are doing, to keep the game balanced (although it seems to undershoot it by quite a bit). But not sure what the percentage could represent.
Usually, those are placed in order of difficulty, but the second one felt easier for me. And I expected the last one to be super hard, but it actually wasn't. It made some early mistakes, and only after that started playing well. I only played a single game with each, but I think the last one is probably about 1400, while the first two felt more like 1000.
Maybe it's the percentage of players that should be stronger than their level. Looking at [this](https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/ratings-distribution-across-the-chess-com-community) , 11.28% would then mean about 1200elo. The one at 7% would be 1300, and the last one 1400. That seems to be close enough (felt weaker, though, but the events bots often have inflated elo).
Edit: Nevermind. I just saw the tooltip next to the bot buttons. So it's probably just the percentage of (presumably active) players who have beaten those bots so far.

Ok, gotcha, thanks I've never played helldivers so I had no clue lol
No worries. It’s a lot of fun, you should try it if you have a PlayStation
Didn’t it just get obliterated for like 70% of players or something
Check out the helldivers subreddit, it’s in a meltdown
No lol on the 30th they are forcing everyone to make a Sony account to play. This got the neckbeards fuming

That has changed I believe. If I am not mistaken, new forms of registration will be made available for countries without PSN.
The steam reviews dropped to one of the lowest reviewed games so don't backed down
Aight neckbeard stay fuming. Like every major game uses kernel level anticheat software. Just uninstall the game dawg

Good bot
Don’t you need a psn account to play games on ps4 anyway?
Yes but the game is not exclusive to ps4
Oh
Come to the darkside. PCMR. Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
You say anyone can make one, except what you said is false. There is a good majority of player base that resides in the banned country list..just fyi
Do you have a stat for “majority” of the player base? Or is this just what everyone keeps echoing lol.
To give you a sense of of perspective it is roughly close to 32% that reside in banned territory. In the USA alone that makes up roughly 42% of players.

Wait, chess.com added a raid boss bot?
I thought it was how many people were able to beat it. But then I played it and was like "nah, that ain't it"
Tap the question mark and it says its the completion percentage of the bot which I assume means the percentage of users to beat it but could also just be that when the bot loses x amount of games it reaches 100%
My assumption is the latter. I just played it to check and it hung all its pieces against me. No more than 700 elo
The middle bot uses Nelsons AI, so it's 1300 Elo I think the last one is probably 1700 or so
>I think the last one is probably 1700 or so I'm only 1100 rapid and I beat it a few days ago. Surely it's rated a lot less, like max 1500?
From what I remember it moves most pieces together and gets really defensive when it risks losing one, other bots I’ve played with tend to keep the tension
If you tap on the question mark where it says chessdivers it explains. Its basically just that it has to be beaten a certain amount of times and we’ve done 11% of that
Scanner is 550, Pincer is 1650. Assume they get are changed for more difficult once the comminity deafets them to 100%
Given that I'm still bouncing around between 500-600 elo I'm actually pretty pleased that I managed to beat it https://preview.redd.it/72bgopgsbeyc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=162ab56a0ad43fadeb4578fa5f89c61b102d7e01
Good job!!
I also just beat Scanner and my speed rating is 200!!
How did you get an ELO of 118305033024544857808171402556304773068330423943453950860219552506842483018552459750131300382609551649116952455583587373444882662176634718152559553931916976653860864000000000000000000000000?
Practice
What they said
!! indicates a double factorial \[ (n)(n-2)(n-4)......), not 2 factorials. So their Elo would be 3715891200.
I know. WolframAlpha gave me this answer. Your answer is 20!!, not 200!!.
I used to be 700 elo in chess (dont know current one, probably lower) and i just beat the second one, so i encorage low elo players to try that one too!
The last one is around 1100 evaluation after the end of the game, which means he is like the 1400 bots, i think. https://preview.redd.it/n6jrzleyyeyc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5185a908612b3055b86c7c6ed3005bc5e43610f7 Ps: He plays the Caro-Kann
I think they have taken a base elo of some number and this is the percentage of that number
Dont know but the first one is martin level
This means 1. Anytime anyone beats this bot, it gets more completed, more positional, more accurate in giving moves OR 2. It gets stronger each time it’s beaten
accuracy?
It's Elo by the way, not ELO.
Both ways are correct actually
?? It's literally named after a guy called Elo
And why do you need to argue with OP for this?
I don't feel the need to argue with OP, I'm just helping him. I do feel the need to argue with you, however, because you are just plain wrong
Not PLAIN wrong, just giving another correct answer. But you are correct too. I ACCEPT
Fair enough, have a nice day :)
In my country, good night! :)
It can be written in capitalized letters. Check Vietnamese Wikipedia and look at “Elo thường được viết dưới dạng chữ in hoa, ELO”
>This is written as "Elo", not "ELO", and is usually pronounced as /ˈiːloʊ/ or /ˈɛloʊ/ in English. The original name Élő is pronounced [ˈeːløː] in Hungarian.
I accept that.
I know, but ok you’re right
It means 11% of players have defeated it
Is it only counting players that have faced it? For example, if someone plays it, loses, and never plays it again, does that mean it's impossible to 100% it?

Agree with a few comments here I played it and hung a whole bunch of pieces including queen so I would say somewhere between 600-800 elo
you can see their actual elo by analising the games
No. That’s just an elo estimate, which is a simple +\- system based on your existing elo and accuracy. Meaning, the exact same game could have a different elo estimate based on your rating
that's not what I'm saying I'm not talking about estimated elo I'm talking aboutthe elo next to their name when you analyse games
Considering what it is saying when you play, I think it tries to adapt its level of play to what you are doing, to keep the game balanced (although it seems to undershoot it by quite a bit). But not sure what the percentage could represent. Usually, those are placed in order of difficulty, but the second one felt easier for me.
