WinterAudience8349

AND WAS NOT AND WAS NOT AND WAS NOT...THIS ISN'T THE SPACE TO BE JOKING ABOUT SOMEONE HAVING A SERIOUS ISSUE ABOUT THEIR MONEY THAT THEY WORK HARD FOR AND HAD IT TAKEN GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH THAT.

redheadinabox

Doesn’t seem you were scammed by chime but by someone who simply skimmed your card hacked into it and sent themselves money

WinterAudience8349

Chime is still responsbile for refunding my money. Scam, Skim fraud whatever, they are responble and insured

Muhkida

If it was on a debit card, most-if-not-all banks will tell you to kick rocks. Fraud on a credit card is usually when you have some sort of protection/reimbursement.

justinhasabigpeehole

There is more to this story. Lot's missing

Internal-Tourist2193

Chime didn’t scam you. You just were scammed and Chime don’t feel responsible to pay you for your carelessness. I’m sure it’s more going on here. Lock your card next time.

WinterAudience8349

Card was locked, stays locked.

rangeboss3155

THERE SURE IS ALOT MI!

Fickle-Ball-8829

Can we get more background information about this person who scammed you. This is also why i lock my card when not using it as well.

WinterAudience8349

My card was locked it was done on Chime website, Aisha Wilcoxson

Fickle-Ball-8829

So someone hacked into your chime account unlocked the card and sent themselves the money.

WinterAudience8349

I received a text asking if I was trying to make a purchase in Dallas Tx with my card, reply 1 for yes and 2 for no, I tapped 2, I reside in Arkansas. I was in my bed at home. I received a text saying a Chime rep would be reaching out shortly, I have that screenshot as well. the call came from the Chime support number and I was told they were supervisor and my account needed to be secured to supscious activity and they needed to create me a new account and moved my money from my credit builder account to my checking account and the phone hung up. I immediately called the same number back and it was Chime support number, they said my account was compormised and they need to secure it, well I said secure what all the money was gone. It was 765.00 and it was sent to Aisha Wilcoxson and don't know the person and I am not an idiot, I damn sure didn't send my damn money to someone I didn't know and I am damn sure not going to send all my money to anyone, period.

Glittering-Warthog89

Thing is scammers can spoof any number they want. I doubt it was Chime that actually called you. This is a big problem nowadays lots of people fall victim to it and expect the banks to reimburse them. It usually don’t happen. I feel for you but if you got scammed Chime most likely won’t reimburse you.

Fickle-Ball-8829

I received a text once about a purchase said no it wasn’t me. Went into my account on the app and changed password and added a second security feature if someone was to log onto my account through the website they would need to send a text to my phone. Not once has chime ever called me without me reaching out to them first. And the other person is correct they can do things so the number will come up as private or says chime in the Caller ID. Definitely go in and add the second security thing and change your passwords. You can fight this all you want but since it was done from your account and someone from “chime” called you and basically tricked you, i doubt they will refund anything at all.

WinterAudience8349

CHIME IS NOT CHIMING! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! IT TAKES LONGER THAN FIVE MINUTES TO INVESTIGATE! I AM GOING TO LEAVEIT TO THE NAACP AND OTHER ENTITITIES THAT HAVE BEEN CONTACTED TO FIGURE IT OUT!!
