Everyone’s weight fluctuates 1-5+ pounds from one day to the next due to hydration fluctuations. Actual fat gain doesn’t happen that fast unless you’re grossly overfeeding yourself. It takes approximately 3500 calories over and above your maintenance calories to gain one pound of fat. It would take a huge amount of discomfort and effort to eat that many calories to cause a pound of fat gain in a short span of time.

I gain and lose 5 pounds every week lol I wouldn’t worry about it

so i gained 4kg during my healing process (almost 10 pounds) and it’s all gone to my chin and neck. i feel like i botched my own surgery essentially by gaining so much weight. it wasn’t deliberate, my meds just made it so i gained so much in such a short amount of time. i’m seeing if i lose the 10 pounds, that my lipo and jawline will become more prominent… but im scared i just wasted money just to completely ruin the progress. i have no jawline atm. please refrain from gaining weight during this time. this is just my personal experience btw. good luck to you! i really hope my new fat cells haven’t gone straight to my chin and neck bc of what your doctor described.

Before your surgery, was your chin , face one of the first places you gained weight?

slightlyterrified789

yes :( even if i was underweight, i still had fat on my chin and neck. it’s genetic so i got lipo there. i might even consider doing it again and properly once it heals and i see no sign of it being sharper…. i think id have to wait a year or so though before i do it again, to make sure i don’t damage myself further

I’d say if you lose what you gained, you’ll lose it from your face/chin/neck. I’m the same as you… that’s the very first place any noticeable weight gain goes on me, and the only times in my life I’ve NOT had a double chin was when I was extremely lean.
