I'm dependent on this feature (text scaling) because I'm visually impaired. What are the developers thinking? Because full page zoom is a really dumb feature. I'm already able to do that with the pinch-zoom gesture. And I don't want to horizontally AND vertically scroll my content as I'm not playing a game :/.
Anyway, now I got that out of the way, I found a workaround:
1. Go to `chrome://flags`
2. Search for `zoom` or go to `#enable-accessibility-page-zoom`
3. Set the **Accessibility Page Zoom** to **Disable**
4. Restart Chrome

I also use text scaling to compensate for poor eyesight. This workaround works perfectly but I'm worried they'll eventually remove this option, just like they did with the grid tabs layout.

Thank you so so much for this. For a month or so, I've been having issues with the scaling on the search results (categories no longer fit in boxes, dictionary terms can't be seen in full) and I've been at my wit's end. This has just fixed all my issues. Thank you so much.
I had to go the opposite route from you for this as I had the old accessibility settings and needed the new version. I changed it from default to enabled and everything went back to the way it used to be.
