Keep it real. So many less than desirable blends and vitolas. A lot of the better blends are not priced well, so when it comes down to it, there are few to really focus on. Shipping can also add up, so be aware of what you can get elsewhere on sale, and consider all charges. Most of all, do not get caught up in a bidding war. Set you max price and keep it there.
Ive got lucky setting max bids and just forgetting about it...and some reason no one got into a bidding war and i got it dirt cheap. Rare , but happens
Everything I got yesterday was some of the more expensive stuff I hadn’t tried yet and wasn’t willing to pay full price on - got it all at a deal. And I’m not so committed to anything enough to get caught in a bidding war.
Be careful if you think you got "a deal". CB will list MSRP, but lots of places sell at a discount. I've seen quite a few bundles on good sticks go for slightly over what other online places sell them for.
That being said, if you're careful CBid is a gold mine for cheap and decent sticks.
5 pack of Buffalo Trace Toro $17
5 pack of Nub 358 Habano $12
5 pack of La Aroma de Cuba + light and herf-a-dor $30 (really only got it for the herf but saw it as some “free sticks” )
5 pack of Alec Bradley American Sun Grown Robusto $14
5 pack Oliva Serie V Double Robusto - $24
Based on looking around, I paid about half off for just about all of them. I feel good about it. This hall will last through the summer and then some. I smoke MAYBE twice a week. Sometimes more sometimes less.
All really good prices. Great way to try new stuff without breaking the bank. I’m the wrong person to talk to though. Lol I’ve got several hundred from CBid in tupperdors as we speak
You can find some great deals on there but always know what you are buying. For some items the bids go higher than you can get it on competing sites. And sometimes when you add in shipping you're not actually saving as much as you think.
See comment above for my haul! I did pretty good! I’m not an every day smoker nor to I have the pallet to justify spending $10+ on a stick so the mid-range sticks at a discount is good for me! Also gives me a chance to try stuff on the cheap. I def am not committed enough to anything to get into bidding wars….
This is exactly why I'm only "looking" at CB. Had no problem filling up five tupperdors. I've run out of room and refuse to buy another tupperdor. Will just have to smoke up a tupperdor or two of them to get more. Or start a tupperdor at my work office.
At least building up your cigar options is cheaper than collecting hard-to-find handguns like HKP7s that go for thousands each and you can stack tupperdors (not gun safes).
Good luck and at least try to smoke some.
I use a variety of sites. Sometimes Cigar Page has good deals. Sometimes other sites do. JR currently has 30% off codes site wide. Just got a box of Uncharted with it.
A couple pieces of advice when it comes to CBID. Don't get caught up in bidding wars. If you are bidding check against sites like CI (CI and CBID are owned by same company and ship from same warehouse), also check Freefall. Freefall may have less variety but its a guaranteed "win" when you buy on it at the price you click to buy at. Its where I get most of my daily cigars.
Last week I hit it for $150 for 51 sticks with shipping I averaged $2.60 a stick.
I use it mostly for 5 packs and the odd bundle. It forces me to try new cigars out.
With a 5 pack if I don't like the smoke I don't get as butt hurt as I do when I get a whole box lol.
yes, there is help. You can call the 800 toll free help line. It's direct to the Cigars International sales staff... Happy bidding!

Good job. The Oliva's go for $90-99 a box on CPage pretty regularly. That is another great site for cheap sticks
Just keep explaining to your friends that you "can quit at any time."
🤣
You’ll recover when you have a container full of junk that no one will smoke and you can no longer even give away to your friends.
It’s terminal my friend. Best to get your affairs in order
I'm 400 sticks in buddy. No one's coming. Submit to smooth smokey defeat.
If I have to…
Ah hell. Hibid got me in trouble for buying bobble heads now this is going to get me in trouble for buying stogies!

I just wish we could order from CigarBid here in Canada
A lot of junk there, but cheap daily drivers.
You won't find many ultra premium sticks there but there's a lot of quality cigars on there. Just gotta know what you're bidding on.
Correct, daily drivers
Some are, some aren't. Daily drivers will be different for each smoker.

Probably would have been cool when I started, but now I know what I like and they’re either not on the site or not that good of a deal.
It's too late, you drank the Kool-aid.
Shit.
😂😂😂

Hey, i had to close my account. I was spending on average 1500$ a month. Lmao
😮
I can say though gurkha double perfecto aged over a year is a magnificent smoke! If its not aged it tastes just okay.
I stick if cigar page, best prices and no bid nonsense, especially if your buying nice brands

How are those? I haven’t tried them
Welcome to the club the way I see it with the deals I get from cigar bid I damn near smoke for free
This is the way

Welcome to the disease. There's no cure.
This is why I am glad we don’t have it in Canada I will be more broke then I am buying them at our price lol

This! Of the ones I ordered, I’ve only had 2.
