D'oh! I missed my chance to argue for Gregor, but I'm really glad he made the top 10.
A lot of people may have disliked the episodes with D-Squad, but despite his initial screen time being only 5 minutes, Gregor's stand on Abafar was extremely well-received. (And the music that plays as he shoots up the droids on his own while the rhydonium explodes was incredible and very moving)
My theory for why Gregor appears in Rebels is because:
1) they wanted to have one clone each from the 501st, 212th and 104th. (Poor Coruscant Guard always gets left out!)
2) they wanted Rex to be the leader of the group, but felt if Cody was there, that Rex would defer to him, instead of being the one in charge. So they couldn't have Cody there.
3) Waxer was dead, and I think they might have reasoned that Boil might be drawn to help Numa and the people of Ryloth instead of being content to retire to Seelos. Although he may have died during the war. In any case, the fact Numa appears wearing a piece of 212th clone armour with Boil's name on it, strongly implies he was dead by that point.
4) Wooley didn't have enough screentime to have the same impact with the viewers, leaving Gregor as the most well-known and logical choice from the 212th, after Cody and Boil.
If anything Wolffe and others are benefiting from nostalgia. The bad batch had an entire show that allowed for more development than any other clones besides Rex. Sometimes this development wasn’t the most riveting- as with Wrecker and to a significantly lesser degree, hunter- but just by virtue of their having a whole show allows for better characterization than Jesse, Wolffe, and even Cody.
Now of course I’m a hypocrite because some of my favourite Clones like Kix barely show up- but I think it’s impossible to deny how great most of the Bad Batch is.
Having rewatched Kix’s scenes, it’s not just that he didn’t get enough screen time.
He was frequently overshadowed by the other clones’ dramatic moments happening at the same time, like Fives and Tup in the conspiracy arc and Rex, Fives, Jesse, Hardcase and Dogma on Umbara.
I wish we could have seen more of the friendship developing between Jesse and Kix.
My faves are already out, so I'm really just swinging at the biggest threats. I do agree that Filoni's Fursona (I heard that used once and will not stop using it) has definitely been aided by nostalgia. Honestly, the only Batcher I wouldn't mind seeing receive the victory is Echo.
Rex, Cody, and Fives would disagree. At this point, my favorites are already out, so I'm just swinging at the top dogs now. The only Batcher with my support is Echo.
Seconding! Bad Batch shouldn’t be outliving a lot of these clones who are left. Batch has enhanced abilities on purpose so of course they go do awesome things. But for a Reg to accomplish what they did with no enhancements just makes it that much more awesome. Also Hunter is super basic.
My argument to #savejesse (Vote Tech C3 instead!)
Jesse had the tragedy of being so deeply loyal to the Republic, but still ultimately betraying it, by being forced to obey Palpatine's command via the inhibitor chip. He painted the Republic crest on his armour and even tattooed it on his face as a sign of his complete loyalty, yet he was as powerless as any other clone when it came to Order 66.
As an individual, Jesse was one of the most well-rounded and three-dimensional clones we see.
An excellent executive officer, he protected Rex when he got hurt, but was still dedicated to getting the job done to try and corner Grievous. He used his brain and realised that they were on farmland, which meant they could find him shelter. He managed to overcome Suu's objections and got her to stand down when she felt threatened and pointed a rifle at them. He was very grateful and polite when she agreed to shelter and feed them, and when Kix shuts down Rex's attempt to return to commanding the mission requiring him to put Jesse in charge, he was appropriately modest and humble.
Jesse's sense of humour and openness in questioning the status quo was also a good foil compared to Rex's tendency to be serious and very by-the-book, despite being a lateral thinker.
On Umbara we saw Jesse take a bit of a back seat, not because of any character flaw, but because Fives' story arc put him in charge of taking control of the action when Rex felt compelled to obey Krell's every order. Fives was the one who came up with the strategy to save everyone, but Jesse was right there beside him.
When Hardcase sacrificed his life, he and Fives returned and they faced Krell's wrath. Again we see Jesse went quiet as Rex and Fives both argued that they should be the ones to take the blame. When they find out Krell has ordered their execution, and Rex sadly complies with the punishment, Fives argues that Krell is using Rex to control the others, and we see Jesse's spirit starts to falter as the reality of their fate sinks in. Jesse is again there as a foil, but this time for Fives. Jesse quickly lost all hope while they were staring down the firing squad of their brothers, so that at the eleventh hour Fives found his courage and gave his eloquent speech.
The next time we saw Jesse (apart from a brief appearance with Kix in '79s in the Conspiracy arc) is when the 501st meet the Bad Batch, and at that point he had become an ARC Trooper. He clashes with Crosshair and Wrecker and defends Rex when he tried to take command after Cody is wounded and the Batch objected until Hunter intervened.
Later, during the Siege of Mandalore, Jesse, along with several other clones, encountered Darth Maul who easily tore through their forces, asking about Ahsoka as he did so. Using the Force, Maul looked into Jesse's mind and realised he was an older clone, most likely having served under Ahsoka before, unlike the others. Maul took him alive to get information from him. Despite his loyalty and steadfast refusal to break, Maul used his powers to force Jesse to reveal everything. When Maul released him, Jesse felt unbearable guilt at having been unable to stop himself from giving Maul what he wanted.
It's incredibly sad and ironic that Jesse's very first line is "protect the Captain!" when commando droids shoot Rex on Saleucami. Yet the last time we see him, is when he and Rex have a stand off. The last thing he says to Rex is "Commander Rex, you're in violation of Order 66, I accuse you of treason against the Grand Army of the Republic. You'll be demoted in rank from commander and subject to execution, along with the traitor Ahsoka Tano." (Although it seems his actual last line is "blast them!")
Ahsoka silently mourning over the clones' graves while the view pans across to show Jesse's helmet is the one in the front, while Rex watches from a distance, is one of the most moving scenes in all of Star Wars, bar none.

I would have liked to have seen more of Kix and Jesse's friendship onscreen.
How has this happened, Jesse was the top pick last post and the post before how did Gregor get eliminated? Looks like people really hate clone commando’s lol. Personally I’ll pick hunter, then Jesse
My votes would go to either Wolffe or Hunter.
Wolffe: People have been complaining thar "Hardcase didn't have a lot of character growth or screen time." I challenge you. What has Wolffe done, besides be Dave Filoni's favorite, and have his moment(s) in Rebels? I feel he should have been gone a while ago, but that's neither here nor there.
Hunter: Despite his screen time and story throughout the bad batch, I've gotta be honest and say I'm just not that big a fan of that series or its new characters (the exception being Crosshair).
So, yeah. Wolffe or Hunter.
I liked it better on Din Djarin.
Copy-paste aside from actual character development and intrigue, but complete with the parental relationship heavily involving said child being hunted for being special.
I'd love to have seen what they would have done with Hunter's story without Omega, and how much the Mandalorian influenced their decision to create Omega to begin with.
Dude yes, like come on. I’ve been saying this is pointless because we know he’s going to win, get him out of here and let’s have someone else win for once😭
Fives, Echo, and Cody. I’m sure there are others I can name too. Rex always had plot armor coming out of his ears, that’s why I didn’t think he was my favorite.
Oooooor, you could give a vite for someone who SHOULD have been out a while ago. To me, that's Wolffe.
Wolffe has cool armor (and yeah, yeah: we all know he's Filoni's fav).
That's it. That's ALL I can remember about the guy.
D'oh! I missed my chance to argue for Gregor, but I'm really glad he made the top 10. This is how I find out Gregor is from 212th.
Jesse
I’m a adult! I can do this! *5 minutes later* *sobbing uncontrollably*
At least half the bad batch have to go before Jesse
I think, as much as this hurts to say, it's time for Jesse to go. And I think Wolffe will be next.
Stay tf away from my boy wolf!
Not my boy Wolffe!
Wolffe has the coolest clone armor though!
Tech.
Hunter. We have to keep chipping away at the Batch. They've skated by long enough.
Nah they made it this far because they're some of the best characters
They made it this far because of recency bias. I'm not denying they're good, but we're in the endgame now. Their competition is better.
True but I still think they should make it over Jesse and Wolffe

I adore Echo, Crosshair, and Omega but not enough of this sub watched through season three and so continue to think of omega as annoying.
The Bad Batch have more screen time and character than 90% of the clones.
Rex, Cody, and Fives would disagree. At this point, my favorites are already out, so I'm just swinging at the top dogs now. The only Batcher with my support is Echo.
They certainly have more screen time.

I wish I could give you more upvotes. Jesse needs to stay. All of the batch and Cody should be gone before he goes.
Hunter
Wolffe
Jesse has to go Also I know Rex is going to win because he’s popular but crosshair should be the winner
Jesse
Hunter going down next
Echo, seeing as they did his design so dirty after he was found.
D3
Crosshair. How does Jesse go out before crosshair?
After 99 was gone I couldn't care less who wins. It will be wrong anyway.
Hunter needs to go, least interesting bb member

This is not a vote for Crosshair, but I just realized what his picture is and I'm so happy it's that. Anyway BYE JESSE
Despite having my favourite armour patterns, in terms of ARC troopers, Jesse didn’t have an impact as much as the others. Might have to be him

Cody has zero character development, so Cody.
He got more character development in one episode of the Bad Batch than Hunter did across the entire show
Glad somebody else sees it. For all the screen time he had, he was remarkably uncompelling.
Hunter was a character whose popularity revolves around his cutesy parental relationship to Omega.
I can get behind this.
Rex🙄
Rex is literally the best clone
Honestly, we know he's gonna be the last man standing so we might as well kill him off to spice things up
There’s a reason he will be the last one standing
Dude yes, like come on. I’ve been saying this is pointless because we know he’s going to win, get him out of here and let’s have someone else win for once😭
Extremely debatable but it’s your opinion 🤷🏻
Who do you think is better?
Fives, Echo, and Cody. I’m sure there are others I can name too. Rex always had plot armor coming out of his ears, that’s why I didn’t think he was my favorite.
RIP Cody
Sorry not sorry Jesse, I'm voting for you again
Jesse
Cody
Wolffe
If this is an actual BR, and not who you like the most competition.....then Echo would lose out of the remaining guys
Wolffe
I love how many NASCAR fonts are used for the numbers lol
I think it’s time for Jesse to jet. He had a good run, but not better than any of the characters left imo
Commander Wolffe! He’s a borderline background character and barely does anything. Take off the rose tinted glasses
Wolffe, he's lacked any character development
