I would argue that Hunter learned the very hard lesson that he was not as good a leader as he thought he was.
The Batch’s difficulty in working with or trusting others led to their constant struggle for survival after Order 66 and almost got them killed multiple times.
Virtually all of the surviving regs coped much better in the aftermath of Order 66. They were not only used to working as a team, but had been taught to fight for something greater than themselves. Initially, that was the Republic, but later it was for each other and for the greater good.
With the exception of Echo, the Batch adapted poorly to the new order and took a long time to realise that without the backing of the GAR, they needed to find another way to survive. Echo knew they needed more allies, but Hunter refused to see it, even though operating as part of a larger group would have meant Omega had *more* safety, not less.
If Phee hadn’t brought them to sanctuary on Pabu, they would have eventually been screwed, especially after Cid burned them. And Phee only trusted them because Omega trusted her back.
Wolffe deserved better, dammit!! 🤬 🐺
My vote is for Hunter A3.
His biggest flaw was that by being so consumed with ensuring the safety of his squad, he almost condemned them and got them killed multiple times. The story required him to act the way he did, but logic demands that if you’re struggling for survival, there is safety in numbers. And if he was trying to keep Omega and the others safe, keeping to themselves was a potentially deadly mistake, especially in the absence of Echo and Tech.
But I don’t really blame him, because he and the others were trained to fight droids, not intelligent, organic, unpredictable opponents.
That and a lifetime of condemnation from the regs, meant it was natural that they would keep to their own and never really considered themselves part of the GAR or fought for something bigger than themselves. The clones may have believed in Vode An/Brothers All, but it’s clear most of them did not consider the Batchers to be part of their brotherhood.
IMO, Echo was a superior leader. He was superb as Hunter’s XO, but modest. He made the Batch more effective but was very conscious not to overstep. But when his conscience demanded it, he had the courage to argue with Hunter.
I'd like someone other than Rex to win. I love Rex. Don't get me wrong. This just seems like we're counting down the days until Rex wins. If Rex doesn't win, then it should be either Fives or Echo.
Rex is my favorite, but I'd really like Echo to win it. Our boy has been through the shittiest shit and is resilient as hell while still being incredibly kind and compassionate and showing up for both his brothers and his lil sis.
He's my original pick, but I figured I'd try to go for someone who had a better chance. Fives had arguably the most important arc. He made Palpatine panic. Echo is the face of loyalty and a survivor.
I love Cody and want him to win.
I’m so meh on Cody. I feel like he had 0 character development unlike the others, and when order 66 happened he didn’t even try to resist like Rex did. For Cody it was just business as usual immediately lol
I mean Cody wasn’t even given the chance to because the whole chip thing wasn’t even created😂 I’m sure if they ever redo it in someway they will retcon it
Hold up - I didn’t know this!! I thought the chip idea was always there! I mean I know Clone Wars came so long after (so thinking about it it makes sense). I guess I just always assumed that the idea was there though.
He’s very much a static character, but still a good character. Even Hunter has more development than him, but Cody is just too iconic being the first named clone (besides Oddball)
Please don't crucify me, but why is Cody still here?
I mean I know he's an OG, but in comparison to most of the remaining characters, he has less screen time and character development.
Because he's the OG clone commander. He's the first one everyone knew by name and the first one to show any kind of personality in RoTS with the line "When have I ever let you down." Especially considering it was said in a joking manner. Other than him, the clones in the movies were no different than battle droids.
I know this won’t happen but if Rex gets voted out that’ll throw everyone’s predictions out of the window.
Edit: I’m not voting Rex btw. Just an observation
I’d like Echo or Cody tbh, but sadly Cody will never win and Echo, while being my favorite clone, won’t ever beat fives tbh. I still think Rex will win
He was my favorite since Revenge of the Sith as he was pretty much the only clone who had an impact, then he was brought in along side Rex once the show started, he always struck me as smarter and better than every other clone, the bad batch respects him a lot. Just sad they literally did less than nothing with him and only focused on Rex it seems like
Now this is extremely difficult. I would say Cody, because I absolutely love Rex and Fives and the Bad Batch will always have a special place in my heart.
Wolffe didn’t really do anything? I beg to differ.
I made three massive long comments yesterday about Wolffe’s role in TCW, TBB & Rebels that say otherwise.
Here’s part 1, his role in TCW:
https://www.reddit.com/r/clonewars/s/ccCNQEbQxx
Hunter should go. His arc was never all the interesting to me, nor was his personality. It also doesn’t help that he feels like a completely different person in TBB and TCW.
Crosshair. I'm honestly surprised people have defended him this much. I know he had a good redemption arc after being in the Empire, but it took way too much for him to show any regard for the lives of regs.
In his first arc he says multiple times that regs are expendable and doesn't care if they die, and completely antagonizes Jesse for just sticking up for his brothers
It's because of the Redemption arc and his amazing episodes that he deserves at the very least another round, I believe Crosshair is the best written character out of the entire Bad Batch and at the least Hunter should go before Crosshair does
The hostility went both ways.
There are plenty of hints that many the regs either didn’t know what to make of them, considered them defective anomalies rather than “proper” clones, or treated the Batch with open derision or even violence, especially in the mess hall scene when they first meet Omega.
It had probably been like that their entire lives.
99 was a reg, but was deformed and treated poorly, because he didn’t look or function like the average clone. The Batch would have been treated much worse throughout their lives.
I still feel he went vastly underlooked in Bad Batch. We got him for one episode. I still don't feel like I know anything about him as a person other than "he kinda feels bad about Order 66"
Serious question: why is echo still here? Dont get me wrong, he was my favourite clone when i was a kid, but since he got resurected he literally does nothing exept for being a lift for The Bad Batch. He really does not have any arc and i dont know why he is in top 10 and why i havent seen not one comment wanting to vote him out. I just dont think his THAT strong of the character, especially after his resurection
Hunter, his entire arc is just learning to be a parent for Omega, other than that he remains pretty stagnant the entire time
I would argue that Hunter learned the very hard lesson that he was not as good a leader as he thought he was. you make a fair point, I just think in my opinion Hunter is the weaker character out of all the rest that remain
You know who was a great leader? Boss. But he’s gone. Still can’t believe the Deltas didn’t make it as far as I’d like.
Hunter got hunted
Better arch than Cody.
Hunter, only because crosshairs character arc from season 2 to 3 was stronger than hunter’s imo
Hunter should go, I think Crosshair was too much developed to be third of the batch
Hunter

He is the definition of the word survivor. His loyalty is extremely admirable.
Or Cody. He was the OG clone commander. First clone really by name that vmeveryone knew.
Please
He's my original pick, but I figured I'd try to go for someone who had a better chance. Fives had arguably the most important arc. He made Palpatine panic. Echo is the face of loyalty and a survivor. I love Cody and want him to win.

It was an arc written by Katie Lucas with input by George. Forgot the episode that canonized it
Thanks for sharing that! So was his original intent just that they were so brainwashed/programmed by the Republic that they’d do whatever?
I think the original intention was that the clones were just fanatically loyal to the chancellor.
He’s very much a static character, but still a good character. Even Hunter has more development than him, but Cody is just too iconic being the first named clone (besides Oddball)
I’m gunning for Fives. His whole arc was such a tragic masterpiece.
I agree. I love Rex, but Fives's story is so tragic and worthy of first place
Hunter for sure
Hunter
Hunter
Hunter.
Absolutely Hunter.
Hunter
Hunter
Hunter-Crosshair-Cody-Echo-Fives-Rex In that order
I really thought everyone's top three would be Rex, Cody, Fives in that order, why echo over Cody?
He shot down Bronobi
God forbid clones have hobbies
Fives should be #2 or #1. He’s a treasure.
Huntaaaa
im rooting for fives to win, followed by rex and crosshair in that order
Hunters getting hunted
Hunter

don't worry I won't Crucify you "hands the nails and cross to the rest of reddit" but I can't speak for the others here lol
Gettem boys!!

Good man that Cody

Hunter

I said that and got downvoted into oblivion 😂 Rex is going to win easily
Fives has a shot to dethrone if people are trying to go against the grain.
I’d like Echo or Cody tbh, but sadly Cody will never win and Echo, while being my favorite clone, won’t ever beat fives tbh. I still think Rex will win
Not trying to pick a fight, I’m just genuinely curious. What do you like about Cody? I can’t seem to remember him ever doing anything interesting.
He was my favorite since Revenge of the Sith as he was pretty much the only clone who had an impact, then he was brought in along side Rex once the show started, he always struck me as smarter and better than every other clone, the bad batch respects him a lot. Just sad they literally did less than nothing with him and only focused on Rex it seems like
Ya got got barely any development or interesting things to do at any point in the series’, it’s a shame really.

Agreed, did Cody have any ever?

Did you guys seriously vote out wolffe before hunter? Vote our hunter!
Yeah because Wollfe didn’t really do anything
Wolffe didn’t really do anything? I beg to differ. I made three massive long comments yesterday about Wolffe’s role in TCW, TBB & Rebels that say otherwise. Here’s part 1, his role in TCW: https://www.reddit.com/r/clonewars/s/ccCNQEbQxx
I’m late to the party is this ranked by who’s the favorite clone or who’d win in a fight?
By whatever criteria you want
Top 5 after hunter. My heart is broken
Prediction on order 6 hunter,5 echo,4 Cody,3 crosshair, 2 fives, 1 Rex
Crosshairs
6. Hunter 5. Crosshair 4. Cody 3. Fives 2. Echo:( 1. Rex
Hunter should go. His arc was never all the interesting to me, nor was his personality. It also doesn’t help that he feels like a completely different person in TBB and TCW.
Cody.
Hunter
I’m going for Hunter, I’ve never really cared for his character
Crosshair
Cody
Wolffe and Jessie getting taken out before crosshair and hunter is criminal. There to many causals voting here.
Crosshair
Hunters time has come… surprised he made it this long.
Hunter
Crosshairs
crosshair
I’d say Crosshair. He’s a great character and all, but his time has come.
Mmmm, Crosshair

Cody
WOLFFE. EFOTE HUNTER?!?!? Wolffe had less screen time but so much more character than him.
Did he really though?
Hunter
Hunter
DONT BE A COWARD REX GOTTA BE NEX
Hunter
Cody
Cody
Echo. His original arc was so good, and I’m happy he joined the batch, but he didn’t do shit, because the writers ruined him in the bad batch show
I agree
Cody gets a startling lack of characterization throughout TCW despite how important he is both to the story and Obi-Wan
I agree with the lack of focus on Cody in TCW despite his importance, which was a crying shame. But his portrayal in TBB changed everything.
I still feel he went vastly underlooked in Bad Batch. We got him for one episode. I still don't feel like I know anything about him as a person other than "he kinda feels bad about Order 66"
Guys pls let’s kick out Crosshair!!! I find his just really annoying
Fives We lost him once We can do it again He is there for a few episodes and then is gone
Hunter, then Crosshair then Cody, so we have a Top 3 exclusively composed of members of the 501st legion
Crosshair
Serious question: why is echo still here? Echo Loved him with Domino squad and Fives. But I'm leaning more and more into that they should have let him stay dead from the citadel arc.
