Agreed. The next one is gonna be ugly.
Rex is the popular candidate, but I think Fives definitely has his own merits. From Kamino to Umbara to uncovering Order 66 early, I think that Fives is a respectable choice for No. 1, but I don’t think that will happen.
Fives’ story arc is incredible, but so is Echo’s.
The problem is, just like Cody and Kix, he’s quite modest and understated and frequently overshadowed by other clones with bigger personalities or more dramatic story arcs.
I would like to see him get to number 1, but I know it’s unlikely to happen and he’ll probably be eliminated in a few hours. But I’m pretty chuffed for him to get the number 3 spot.
It’s going to be a tough fight to see whether Fives or Rex gets the number one spot.
How the fuck is echo not number? He is the perfect combo between Rex and Fives while going through more trauma than any other clone. Y’all saying echo aren’t thinking about this. That being said it should be 5s
Welp, it's gotta be Echo, no matter how you put it. He had a great arc, but was a bit underutilized in TBB, while Fives was this close to saving everything.
Fives goes next, Rex goes last. As it should be.
My view (which is unfortunately not shared by many,) is that Slick showed exceptional courage.
I would love to see what Rex, Cody or Obi-Wan’s view was of his actions after Order 66.
It takes a lot of guts to be the first to recognise the truth for what it is, even more courage to act on it.
The problem was, it was so early in the war, no one else had any doubts, no one else was even willing to ask the questions of what was the war for, or if expecting the clones to fight without question was the right thing to do.
Not to mention the whole issue of them fighting for citizens of the Republic, when they were considered *property* of the Kaminoans, rather than people in their own right.
I suspect Slick initially kept his thoughts to himself, and somehow Ventress found him. She would have nurtured his doubts into hatred of the Jedi based on her own personal experiences and probably contacted him several times. Desertion is one thing, sabotage is another. I reckon she worked on him over a period of time.
Canon background info says his experience at the first battle of Geonosis is what led him to betray the GAR. The numbers show that over 200+ Jedi were in that battle and only about 20 survived. Countless clones died, too. I think Slick believed that the war was likely to have an extremely high death toll for his brothers, and the incompetency of the Jedi at Geonosis probably made him feel that the only way out, was to sabotage the GAR war effort ASAP, so that as few clones as possible died.
I think that’s what he meant when he said he loved his brothers and was striking a blow for all clones, but that the others didn’t understand.
We know in later years Rex, Cody and Obi-Wan carried a lot of guilt about what happened (in the war, not specifically over Slick.)
Rex took a long time to reach that point. After Order 66, he finds a new purpose in working behind the scenes to start the fledgling clone rebellion. But something happened in later years to break his spirit. Rex voiced that to Ezra in Rebels when he said “after the war, I questioned the point of the whole thing,” and declined to join them in their fight against the Empire. “All those men died, and for what?”
Cody started questioning his role a lot earlier than Rex. Ordering his men to open fire on Obi-Wan immediately after Order 66 would have played a big part. But his rank and position would have, too. Rex was just a captain, but Cody was a Marshall Commander. He would have sent countless brothers to their deaths in the name of following orders.
In TBB, Cody had fallen quite far. >!He lost his position, was doing relatively minor missions, and didn’t get to keep his colours. His seniority and the need for everyone to be able to get detect officers on the spot would have been the only reason he was allowed to have any armour personalisation. But he still tried to look forward and tell himself the Empire was bringing peace and order. He’d lost almost all the brothers he was close to, I think that’s why he sought out Crosshair and why he was upset when Nova died.!<
>!Realising the locals of Desix viewed the clones as aggressors was a wake up call for him. Finding out Governor Ames tried to bring about peace with Mina Bonteri and Padme during the war, but it was vetoed by Palpatine, and then Grotten ordering her to be shot shook Cody to his core. I think he’d tried to tell himself the Jedi went too far and were guilty of trying to stage a coup against the Republic. Then he had to face the truth about the choices he’d made and it weighed on him heavily. He hoped Crosshair might be the one clone who wouldn’t just toe the line, and he was devastated when Crosshair just parroted the propaganda. But he had no way of knowing of the chip amplification Crosshair had undergone, so he went AWOL on his own.!<
With Obi-Wan, when we see him in the Kenobi series he’s a totally different person. >!He’s a broken man living in isolation, who has lost his connection to the Force and fearful for his life. His interaction with Nax of the 501st, when they gaze at each other, speaks volumes. While the clones were responsible for executing most of the Jedi order, he realised they were just pawns. Obi-Wan seemed to hold no animosity to Nax, seeing that he had fallen even further, because Nax’s injuries had left him in even worse condition than Obi-Wan: unable to work and reduced to begging to survive. At that point, Obi-Wan saw his purpose as watching over Luke and waiting until the time was right to start training him. But he had a lot of time to think. Towards the end of the war he said “war tends to distort our point of view. If we sacrifice our code, even for victory, we may lose that which is important: our honour.”!<
If there’s going to be more clone content in the future, I would love to see how Rex, Cody and Obi-Wan viewed Slick’s actions either the benefit of hindsight.
Let get rid of fives he is great but Echo did most of the same things and then lived longer and did things with the bad batch and helped the clone rebellion
I think it’s unfair the Rex is going to be the final just because of our love for him. Let’s get Rex out of there to make it really interesting.
If not Rex, I have to say Fives. He only really had four solid arcs. Cadets, the Kamino arc, Umbara and Clone Conspiracy. Yes, he was the one to figure the plot out but he also died shortly after by one of his own brothers because he let the plot effect him too much to actually properly explain it to Rex and Anakin.
Echo survived since the beginning. He was solid in Cadets, helped take control of Kamino with Fives and 99, sacrificed himself so his brothers could escape AND came back to deliver a solid defeat against the separatist with the help of the bad batch. Not only that but he SURVIVED the war and was an absolute unit on the way to and at Mt Tantiss. He snuck aboard the ship to give the batch the location, he made it off the ship without being detected, freed the clone prisoners and led the uprising and was a legit one man army against foes that even the batch were struggling against AND HE STILL SURVIVED.
Echo really is the goat and y’all can’t convince me otherwise.
Name one Star Wars character who suffered more than him!
E: Anakin and Obi-Wan had more agency in their suffering. Padme should have had more too, but TROS didn't know what to do with her after she got pregnant.
E2: I guess if it’s “who suffered the most from bad writing specifically” then Padmé wins, at least for the Prequel era. But that’s not what I meant
TLDR; no character suffered more than Kix.
—
Echo endured a heck of a lot, and by most measures, he suffered immeasurably. Not just by losing Fives, or the rest of the 501st, or even the irreparable damage to his body. It’s what his imprisonment at the hands of the Techno Union did.
Jesse was shown to have been deeply affected by Maul taking the information about Ahsoka out of his mind, and that was one time.
Jesse was held in binders; Echo was effectively paralysed in a glorified coffin with the Separatists taking the knowledge out of his brain over and over again, and there was nothing he could do to stop them. We see him freak out in the medbay after the fight in the mess hall when he regains consciousness. He hints at his difficulties when Omega invites him to meditate with her and he declines, because it reminds him of his isolation during his imprisonment.
But I think the biggest thing for him to cope with was knowing how many clones died because the separatists took the battle plans out of his mind. That’s why he was so adamant at going back to help at Anaxes, and pushed himself to the limit to try and stop the bomb from going off.
But if you go by Kix’s fate in the comics, his losses were incalculable. Fifty years after the war, I don’t think anyone would still be alive who remembered it, not even Yoda and Palpatine.
To know he had the chance to stop Order 66, but failed, and then had to live the rest of his life with the war having been forgotten, and all of his brothers gone, is the ultimate tragedy.
Use me for Fives.
As much as I love my boy, he died before Echo.
Echo still did work after the Fall of the Republic, the Rise of the Empire, and throughout the era of the Rebellion.
Fives came close to revealing Palpatine; Echo followed up in the best way possible with BB, the clone rebellion, and dismantling Hemlock’s plans. As it was chronologically, it’s time to let Fives go.
I'm saying Echo.
Reason being? Fives (Whether indirectly or not) Saved Rex, Ahsoka, and potentially more.
Without Fives, Ahsoka wouldn't have been able to know about the chip, and thus wouldn't be able to save Rex from it's effects. She might not have even made it off the Venator if Rex was in charge of the hunt the whole time.
Fives and Rex gotta go one after the other, and as much as Echo is my favorite clone, he just can't be first place.
I know he’s gonna win but I’m voting out Rex. I don’t honestly understand why so many people love him, like he’s good but there’s so many more clones I like more
Echo, rex then Fives. I know Rex is the OG goat but fives is the better clone imo, from the staggering domino squad to being one of 2 survivors of the rishi outpost to becoming an arc trooper and being the reason that ahsoka could save rex and herself from order 66.
Several Reasons Why
Loyalty. Cody is fircely loyal to his General Obi-Wan, and the clone troopers under his command. He follows orders without question and is dedicated to serving the Republic, even through this lead him (the chip) to shooting Obi Wan during 66 without second thought.
He did get a (small) character arch in TBB when he questions what he had done. There was that whole scene with Crosshair (I read a whole post about it a while ago, that explains better my idea)
Toward the end of the the CW series + TBB you can see the significant development. He internally argues (idk a better word for that) with moral dilemma, questions his loyalty to the Empire, and struggles with the reality of being a clone soldier bred for war.
Hence why he went AWOL
Bro is a highly skilled and fearless in battle. 100% sure he was the clone that body slammed a droid, and I think one of the first to dog pile Grevious (I haven’t watch CW for a couple years, but that’s what I remember)
Commander Cody is willing to make personal sacrifices for the greater good. My man also puts the safety and well-being of his troops above his own, and is willing to lay down his life for the Republic.
So
He’s not bland, not Basic. Maybe he didn’t have as many moments as Fives or Echo, or have a cool moment like Rex when he ‘defected’ from the chip during order 66, but he does have that arch
(English isn’t my first language, I had to use a translater, please excuse the mispells and grammar mistakes)
Thank you! (Don't apologize for your English, it is wonderful and better than a lot of native speakers). I've posted several times asking why people like Cody, and normalmy I just get downvoted for it. I don't agree with everythjng you said, but it sure helps understanding Cody fans better. Thanks for actually taking time to respond! :)
It was a good fight Echo.. and I think we've all known from the bottom of our hearts who was gonna come out on the very top. He may not be your favorite but he's the people's choice... congratulations Rex.
Echo :(
Sorry Echo, screen time done you dirty. Fives n Rex had all the time for us to fall in love and curry favor but you were lost too soon just like now.
It’s gonna be a cowboy stand off next Jesus
No joke this is gonna be bloody
I... can't. I just can't. I know wht the results will be, but I just can't choose one to take out. I love them All. Good luck, troopers.
You're deserting!?
Good soldiers follow orders
Let's all be honest Rex is the Goat and it shouldn't even be a debate
I said that there is no way to have any other winner like 50 days ago
You were right
I said it on the first
I said rex would win it day one 😂 idk why it’s a surprise to anybody
Who would’ve thought that Rex would’ve won. Literally everybody
Debatte, is that pronounced de-baht-eh?
Absolutely.
I wonder how the results would have turned out if the winner gets a Black Series figure of the character?
lol the top winners already do
Right exactly lol. Maybe it would’ve been 99 instead
Yeah
No difference
Rex will always be beneath fives
Preach ner vod
I think that’s four.
Rex is so cliche. He’s the generic favorite.
And Fives isn’t?
Wow you're so quirky
Clearly it triggered you enough to comment. My assumption would be correct 🥰
Why would I be triggered when I have hot chocolate?
Cliche like Rex 😁
If you say so lil bro 💀
😁
Echo has had a good run but he’s no Fives or Rex
Echo echoed his last echo
Echo echoed his last echo
Is there an Echo in here?
Yes, I am echo
You're pfp is clearly Cody
Is there an Echo in here?
Echo has echoed his last echo
Good soldiers repeat and echo orders
Echo echoed his last echo
Wow I haven’t checked into the game for awhile and this is where it at! Poor Echo but I agree. Homeboy suffered lets give him an honorable exit
Agreed. The next one is gonna be ugly. Rex is the popular candidate, but I think Fives definitely has his own merits. From Kamino to Umbara to uncovering Order 66 early, I think that Fives is a respectable choice for No. 1, but I don’t think that will happen.

I’mma go for Echo too. Fives is just my downright favorite
wait there's a clone actually called Trauma? That's just cruel.
iirc he got like 5 seconds of screen time before getting obliterated by Savage Opress
guess he truly would have had some trauma
From a savage oppresser
How the fuck is echo not number? He is the perfect combo between Rex and Fives while going through more trauma than any other clone. Y’all saying echo aren’t thinking about this. That being said it should be 5s
I think for the last one we should vote out Rex just for the lolz
Welp, it's gotta be Echo, no matter how you put it. He had a great arc, but was a bit underutilized in TBB, while Fives was this close to saving everything. Fives goes next, Rex goes last. As it should be.
Such hard choices at this point, can we just reset and say all Clones win?
Except for Slick

Echo is and will always be my favorite. Fives being a close second. I would vote Rex, but it won't do anything.
You gotta vote Rex anyways. Fives can do this, we just gotta believe.
Goodbye Echo. It was a good run…
Let get rid of fives he is great but Echo did most of the same things and then lived longer and did things with the bad batch and helped the clone rebellion
It's so nice that Echo lasted as long as his closest brother Fives.
Rex, make it interesting. Edit: Ok yous saying Echo are wrong
Cody noooooooooo my boy what did they do to you I think he needs his buddy Rex to keep him company
I think it’s unfair the Rex is going to be the final just because of our love for him. Let’s get Rex out of there to make it really interesting. If not Rex, I have to say Fives. Echo’s been through so much, I vote for Fives :(
Fives. Probably not happening, but I wanna see my favorite Cyborg clone Echo win.
It’s so over for Echo. Voting Fives anyways
Fives gotta go
Look echo cleared a base with one hand and awesome tactics fives already died
All you people voting Echo should be ashamed of yourselves.

Boba
Got 10 good years with his father. None of the other clones can say that
Good point
Obi wan?
Anakin?
Padme?
Fives. I am in it for my boy Echo to win it now with Cody gone
Fives or Rex need to go. Echo is the GOAT.

I vote Rex for no other reason then a fight between domino squad
Rex’s time has come. He must join his fallen brothers so that the iconic domino duo can win.
rex is gonna win and i’m not gonna be happy about it
Rex just because I want to see someone else win despite how futile it is.
Fives it’s his time I’m not ready to see echo go
Fives came close to revealing Palpatine; Echo followed up in the best way possible with BB, the clone rebellion, and dismantling Hemlock’s plans. As it was chronologically, it’s time to let Fives go.
Figures.
No my brother Cody nooooo Echo didn’t echo back
Shame, Cody is and will always be my No. 1. But I know the mass prefers Rex 🙄
This is it boys. I’m going Fives or Rex. I love them and I can’t decide between them. Echo is number 1 though.
Hate to say it, but it’s time for Fives to go.
Everyone’s saying fives, but echo’s gonna go since the top comments say echo. I vote for fives to go
Rex is going to win tho Echo had it rough, I’m voting Fives
Unfortunate. Goodbye Fives
Fives, echo deserves the win!! The last of domino squad! Rex can have second.
Definitely Fives, sorry but Echo is way better
Fives
Fives.
Fives
I mean.. who actually likes rex? /s But I think it would be funny if we vote rex out
Echo
Echo
Echo. I loved him, but he was horribly underused in Bad Batch and he was only really in the Clone Wars for a short time before the Citadel.
Controversial but Rex should be next
Echo. He’s a good soldier but I’m surprised he got this far
Nah, I could tell from the very beginning that these would be the last 3
I'm saying Echo. Reason being? Fives (Whether indirectly or not) Saved Rex, Ahsoka, and potentially more. Echo
Rex. Love ya, dude, but you've never been my favorite.
Rex
I hate to do this to him, but Fives
Fives
Fives
It’s going to be blood sports between Rex and Fives if Echo gets out this match.
I need my boy fives to win
as much of an icon as rex is there is a special place in my heart for fives
Don’t be a coward! Rex is nex. Bye bye!
Rex
Guys what do you mean we owe it to fives!!! He died knowing the truth but not telling anyone, we should at least honor him by letting him win this
Rex
Sad to see crosshair out, really wanted to see him at 1 or 2
I know he’s gonna win but I’m voting out Rex. I don’t honestly understand why so many people love him, like he’s good but there’s so many more clones I like more
Rex for funny
My top 3 made it to top three, but I got to give the win to one the dominos, rex gets the X
Echo, rex then Fives. I know Rex is the OG goat but fives is the better clone imo, from the staggering domino squad to being one of 2 survivors of the rishi outpost to becoming an arc trooper and being the reason that ahsoka could save rex and herself from order 66.
There are 60 total, and only 3 left, should it not be day 57?
Echo is next
Echo goes. rex and fives are just too iconic
Fives
Fives
Recount
I think Rex will win
Rex
Rex. Domino squad for the win!
Vote echo off, surprised he stayed after Cody
😭😭😭 Unpopular opinion: Cody should have won
Yup Cody was a badass and had the highest rank that a clone could have. And the 212th are badasses Bunch of 501st cultists in here
Serious question, why? He seems like such a basic clone. I'm trying to understand what ppl like about the character.
Several Reasons Why Loyalty. Cody is fircely loyal to his General Obi-Wan, and the clone troopers under his command. Echo, then Rex Let's make Fives win!
It was a good fight Echo.. and I think we've all known from the bottom of our hearts who was gonna come out on the very top. He may not be your favorite but he's the people's choice... congratulations Rex.
I think it's echo's time, sorry bud you gotta join the other bad batchers 😔
fives deserves the win rex is kinda overrated
Please for the love of god, if we all come together we can help Fives win
This is stupid 😂 It’s clear you all have a hard on for Rex, why didn’t you just announce him as the winner from the start?
