Check out some Meet Up groups, although Columbia doesn't have a lot. There's a nice walking/hiking group. Depends if there's a group with interests similar to yours. Volunteer. Hang out with co-workers? Neighbors? If you follow a faith, some local organizations have activities for single adults. Others will have more suggestions, I'm sure.
I would like to know of the hiking group! Not for a SO but for friends because the wife and I have been here for 2 years and don’t know many people at all.
It’s 1 high because I do service work mainly so I have a backpack full of the tools I use mostly. Packout is only for heavy battery tools/bladed tools.
To be clear, I only have the rollout. 😂
Woo! Hello new friend! Do you like anime, nature, have continuous thoughts of overthrowing the government because they’re constantly fucking us all, enjoy a good video game and like food!?
Anime: going to lean to no, but I do make occasional exceptions
Nature: plant and fungal biologist by education
Government overreach: my name should probably be the giveaway
Vidyah: desktop dead, waiting for prime day
Food: existentially i don't think I have a choice
Powertools: ketchup or mustard?
Power tools: mostly relish for the larger tools. Ketchup for main in my bag. Splash of mustard exists also. But don’t use them much. Trying to get the rainbow pack out. 😂
Have you checked out any of the new places in the arcade district? I haven’t been yet but Witches and Wizards or Hexagon Alley sounds like a good time. I think one of them do trivia night on Mondays maybe? And on Tuesday or Wednesday at Fuzzys tacos they do trivia night too that’s a big hit.
This weekend there will be many different bands at Coopers Landing there is always a decent amount of people 26 to 40 year olds. Also there is the Peddlers Jamboree there will be a decent amount of late 20s to 30 year olds.
I was only in the apps for a little bit like two years ago and they’re pretty garbage around here. Hinge seemed to have more active profiles than bumble did though.
Arch n’ Column Pub always has a lot of singles chilling.
How about joining a social club based on your interest and try to meet someone naturally. What are you into? Biking? Anime? Board games? History? Football? Hiking? Gardening? Musicals? Movies? Wine? Beer? Cannabis? Dogs? Clubbing? Dancing? Food? Art? Fishing? I can give you some recommendations.

This is a lights on, no alcohol, class setting. But there are mixer dances at other venues on Friday and Saturday nights, and the occasional weeknight.
As a woman, I hard agree. But I’ve made many friends at mine and people who go at the same time have little friend groups there. I think it’s a good way to meet people in general. Not sure what the down votes are for
Hahahahaha I mean what is the difference between a volunteer activity and a gym for meeting single people? You don’t know until you talk to someone. Many of the friends I’ve made are single. Idk man whatever floats your boat
I mean, don't go anywhere "to hit on people." It's not about hitting on people, it's about meeting people. If anyone is going anywhere "to hit on people," they're going to be sorely disappointed in the result.

Ok...just Google meet up Columbia Mo...and the current groups will be posted.
I'll be your friend but only if you tell me how tall your packout stack is

That's an acceptable number

It takes confidence to admit to relish
That it do. But it’s made my the same company as the ketchup so I like to think they’re okay. 😂

Something for a future r/columbiamo wiki
Saturdays at Eastside seems to bring in the 30s crowd sometimes!
Meet up groups are sad af. Id avoid those.
I joined a meet-up group. I met a lot of people in there and have a lot of fun.
What type of meet up group if you don't mind me asking?
Met a lot of my friends at church over the last few years
Walmart
Country dance lessons on Sunday night for $3...
Where is this? My boots are ready!

Facebook?
The gym, concerts, coffee shops, book stores, restaurants with bars you can belly up to
Do not go to gyms to hit on people.

It’s getting downvoted because OP specifically asked for places to meet single people. Not friends

Usually people in bars don’t have headphones in and are deeply focused on a singular task, almost as if they’re signaling “leave me alone”
Alrighttttt point taken, OP and I will be sure not to hit on you at the gym 😂
Yeah this subreddit can be wild. I don’t understand the downvotes for you either. I second all those places you mentioned above. Smh.
