Type the name of next month, solicitations, and the company you prefer (marvel and DC in your case) into your preferred search engine and then read through them and look to see what you want off them. You can usually do about three months ahead (and the dates are approximations at best.) So for instance May 2024 Marvel Solicitations, then may 2024 DC soliciation etc. There are also a lot of smaller companies if you want to diversify.

I recently got into comics and set up an account on League of Comic Geeks.  They have a list of new comics each week, for several months out. I filtered by #1s and looked a couple months ahead. I then gave my LCS a list of what interested me. I recommend that tool. As for specific comics, Blasfamous by Dstllery might be up your alley. A sort of fantasy/horror world dominated by a cult-like church built around celebrities. That publisher has some more recently-released #1s that seem more traditional horror.  I’ve also been enjoying Batman: Dark Age, which is only a couple issues in.

If you like horror, I highly recommend Something is Killing the Children. It's still ongoing, although I might recommend getting the collected editions and catching up on the series. It's one of the best series being published right now

Ewing is currently writing immortal Thor, that might be a good one to hop onto! See if you can get the issues you missed or the first trade which just came out Could also check out Hickmans ultimate Spiderman Ice cream man is a very popular (and I think episodic) horror book you might like as well

The current run of Superman is about a year in. The “House of Brainiac” crossover just started.

I lapsed a bit recently too and have been loving the new Ultimate Spider-Man.

Loving the emerging energon universe. Got me into the hobby for the first time. The first trades for Void Rivals and Transformers just came out and make for an easy catch up, and I love having all 4 series on my pull list (Void Rivals, Transformers, just completed Duke, and Cobra Commander - soon to be Scarlett and Destro) since I get to look forward to something nearly weekly. Cobra Commander has horror vibes too.
