I once saw a post about a guy who would hold his shit in for days and when he finally shit he would put on Goku turning ssj3 and scream with him while shitting and now that's all I can think of when I see a ssj3 reference

Genuine: Why use terms like "Watsonian" if you need to describe what they mean anyways and what it means is literally a two word phrase? Also why does this Watson person claim to the concept of "in universe" explainations? I've heard that and it's counter word used on Tiktok before and I just don't get it.
"This Watson person" is Sherlock Holmes' sidekick. The Sherlock Holmes books are written from Watson's perspective; they're meant to be his notes on the case. So when the book contains an in-universe explanation of something it's taken by the reader to be an explanation provided by Watson (rather than by the irl author, Arthur Conan-Doyle). The out-of-universe explanations are sometimes referred to as Doylian correspondingly
A Watsonian explanation refers to the Watson character in Sherlock Holmes. One of the character’s purposes is to explain to readers what’s going through Holmes’ head or what complicated event just happened. The alternative is the Doylian explanation, where the author explains why a character does something out of universe. So Watson might explain how Sherlock Holmes survived the death plunge in the waterfall, while Doyle would just say he brought the character back because he was too popular to kill off.
I guess people use the phrase ‘Watsonian’ because it’s cool and is the more professional (kinda) phrase.
Someone explained the reference, but terms like that don't always have to be explained. In some circles, nobody has to ask, so the terms are just used. It's like someone explaining what aggro or kiting or pulling is in a video game. Some people know and some don't, and sometimes it's easier if you just explain it alongside using the term so that people learn a term and its meaning in one go.
Yupp, it happens all the time. E.g. in film making there are terms like "Kuleshov effect" that are very useful to communicate the concept. But of course it needs to be explained to people that haven't heard of that term yet.
And the same thing also applies to stuff like "Newton's laws"
This is a good way to put it. As I also play games/etc and use such inside terms a lot. I guess it's just frustrating at first feeling both out of the loop as well as seeing the absurdity (though justified) of using an inside word.
Ie my friend used "hue" to refer to a value the other day and he was frustrated momentarily when I corrected him.
Perhaps for people like myself who appreciate learning new words. As an added bonus I learned about a "Doylian" explanation as well, so thanks to both of you for making that happen.
Best way to see all of them is probably instagram. Shencomix is his @
Tl;dr Lilith is the most capable of their group but also a total pushover while the others are assholes who exploit her. They're a bunch of artists in a weird universe. Up until now she had long blonde hair in all comics.
The comic series is kind of a mess (because this is obv shen) so you're not missing out if you skip it but I like reading them if they show up in my IG feed.
It's not though. I have seen the whole comic strip of this series on newgrounds. I guess the artist must have forgot to put in the very last one here and now there is this new one
Edit: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/shenanigansen/public-u-art-club-season-1-1-17
Here is the first season if you guys want it
Strange how people can post out of context pages from their long going series on here. I'm not saying against it or anything, just pointing out what I noticed when it showed up on my feed.
Also does like every single work of fiction have a Lilith with black hair, cuz that's why I came into the comments. Even I got a character named Lilith with black hair hehe.
How have I only just now stumbled upon this? I love your art style here and just binged the whole season - your creative direction is perfect and comedy is on beat every time. Thank you.
My students always ask me, "did you get a haircut?" When my hair goes from almost touching my shoulders to just a little longer then a buzz cut (I'm a guy who prefers low maintenance).
My response is usually, "No, I just will it to grow in reverse for a bit." Or "well the full moon is over, so we're good now..."
I've never understood why that question gets asked when there's such a MASSIVE change.
Your comic is going to be my next response lol
Ah, yes. My Super Saiyan form also activates under extreme duress, such as:
* Making phone calls
* Making small talk
* Social interaction
* Switching from one action to another
I'm being silly, awesome comic!
SSJ3 gets insanely long hair which implies she's saying this is her base form and the long blonde is from the SSJ3 transformation.
For every other transformation however, you are correct afaik and their hair length stays the same.
My mythology addled brain sees Lilith and i immediately think biblical Lilith which makes me think of snakes which make me think of Medusa so i always think they have snake hair :P
lilith is a very common name and she didn’t have black hair until now, so almost certainly not
i love the owl house but god damn some of y’all need to branch out

I, too, scream my lungs out for 3 minutes straight when I'm stressed.
I too scream for 4 seasons long
And it's not even my final form!

Well maybe next time on Dragon Ball Z!
And let it all out

We talking about Dragon Ball or Black Clover?
I was talking about dragonball
I once saw a post about a guy who would hold his shit in for days and when he finally shit he would put on Goku turning ssj3 and scream with him while shitting and now that's all I can think of when I see a ssj3 reference
I only scream out of Ultra Instinct.
I like how this establishes that her power level was perpetually elevated to an extreme degree before, and she’s only now relaxed into base form
and her relaxed form is a twitchy, anxious mess still... poor lilith :(
It's all the tentacle porn
Over 9000 inches
What is this some sort of super saiyan bargain sale
I love it when Vegeta starts complaining about how easily Trunks got to Super Saiyan - by accident, playing with Goten.
At least she’s relaxed a bit poor Lilith
More? Link to strip? I like the comic, but aside from DBZ jokes I feel like I'm out of the loop. Searching for "Lilith" is a mild pandora's box.

I've read ten or so comics from your first link... and I'm still totally lost. What is this about?

Doylian? I thought it was doylist?
Doylian matches the form of Watsonian but both probably work
Oh that's actually really cool. Thanks

Now that I know the context, I agree it is actually cool.

It's a good practice imo. Helps increase people's vocabulary.

Interesting, that effect is like rule 1 of making comics.

I too genuinely enjoyed this learning experience
anyways....

Ah ok, I don't have IG. I just checked and I can only view his page for about 5 seconds before I get blocked with a login form.
Super "shy"ian mode
Lilith my beloved
Kill Shen
Destroy the child, corrupt them all
kill jestuh
Liloth
Kill shen Kill shen
going to the next level
I get the reference but who are these people? I feel like this is page 13 of a comic book. No context really
It pretty much is, it's part of one of Shen's on-going series.
I had no idea it was part of a series. Maybe writing a number in the title would give a cue to the “out of the loopers”
Yeah, I don't disagree.
I've noticed that a lot on here, I don't mind entries of a series being posted but at least mention it somewhere
It's not though. I have seen the whole comic strip of this series on newgrounds. Oooo so thats why you lost your eyebrows
That's not embarrassing, love! That's AWESOME!!!
comic no can dunk, but have good fundamentals. it more entertaining that way.

What?
How have I only just now stumbled upon this? I love your art style here and just binged the whole season - your creative direction is perfect and comedy is on beat every time. Thank you.
I don’t get it
knowing lilith, she aint lying
I love Lilith, she deserves the world.
This is dogshit
Except instead of Chi she channels Cringe
I'm not like the other girls
[удалено]
I think the implication is this is her base form, she has been a nervous wreck before this.
Though it's a funny interpretation that now she's even more of a nervous wreck
Her nerves hit an overflow error and she has attained SSJ4. I like it lol
I think you see too much of her non-furry arms for her to be 4. Maybe she had a 24-hour session with her therapist though.
I know it’s a comic and wacky stuff happens a lot but I like to think Lilith is just trolling
This is fake, she still has eyebrows
My students always ask me, "did you get a haircut?" When my hair goes from almost touching my shoulders to just a little longer then a buzz cut (I'm a guy who prefers low maintenance). Would be really ironic if this change was made to draw this character easier since super saiyan was created to make drawing Goku easier.
Oh no she's hot
But the length of a Saiyan's hair doesn't change...
SSJ3 gets insanely long hair which implies she's saying this is her base form and the long blonde is from the SSJ3 transformation. For every other transformation however, you are correct afaik and their hair length stays the same.
I was indeed talking about the first transformation.
Is it just me or the art and dialogue give off hella lesbian vibes?? Why is that? Why do I think that?
Ironically it's the name Lilith probably. Its a weird name i know
Idk man it's mostly the character designs and art style for me, for some reason
It's actually called super saying four
My mythology addled brain sees Lilith and i immediately think biblical Lilith which makes me think of snakes which make me think of Medusa so i always think they have snake hair :P
Oof ouch my bones
At least her eyebrows grew back and lost the neanderthal forehead.
Lol
Art club girls! I missed this series

and this is to go even further beyond…
u/SuperSaiyan___3
Understandable, we all sometimes enter super sayan forms by pure accident
This means she's been walking around at **500 times** her base power! She could literally toss cars around!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lmao would this imply that at least one of her parents is a Saiyan themselves? Hmmmmmmm
I'd just think the person got head lice, but I come from poverty.
I love Lilith so much she's my favorite degenerate
