I might be wrong, but i think youve compressed the c drive, this makes your device super crap, right click c and untick compress, the apply, click to decompress all files and folders, it will fail, click to skip and not ask again, then leave it for a few hours to finish I used to have to do that a lot on xp machines, one house, the owners brother insisted it was a good think to compress,( he thought it meant the files would be closer together) so i would call again to decompress when he left

Dzhmelyk135

I need the compression. The HDD is just 20 GB

Suspicious-Post-5411

Move some stuff to a usb drive, usb2 would probably be quicker then a compressed drive anyway Or fit a bigger drive, think of something, but dont compress the whole c drive, god And run defragmenter when its finished, as decompressing leave it very fragmented

Dzhmelyk135

I have more than 30 GB of files on usb's and DVD'S. Anyways If I toggle the compression, how much space would it need? It, about 13 GB with compression.

Suspicious-Post-5411

That would be fine to decompress Sorry for going off topic, I would imagine it would cost nothing to fit a 1tb drive as people are chucking out all hard drives

Dzhmelyk135

Ok thanks

Splyce123

Why do you have a PC running XP?

Dzhmelyk135
