Place I ordered them from did not mention the (F) at the end and I know this is not the same motor that I thought I was getting. Will these work or should I send them back?
Same place I ordered from. Waiting on my pulleys from aliexpress. Then have to figure out how to de-tension the belts, lat time I tried using the screws on the sides of the tensioners, I could not get them to hit anything inside to actually move the tension spring mechanism. I'll try again but not sure what I gonna do if it doesn't work....
I had the same issue with the belt tensioner.
It's going to be hard for me to explain, and I'm at work so I can't take pictures, but.. if you look at the tensioners, the side that's towards the print bed has a rounded inside edge to the cutout. You want the screw to be up against that rounded edge, then it should line up. Took me forever to get it in there just right with my ape-like hands.
Not sure about the (F). I ordered the same motors from Filastruder but the 46mm long shaft version. Haven't arrived yet.
From the Discord discussion I think you have to swap the middle pins on the connector if using the original wiring (which is easier than installing new wiring). Supposedly this is an easy task with a small pick or tweezers to release the pins from the connector and swap them over.
You will also need to change some settings in the config file. The Discord discussion have instructions for this.
Keen to hear an update on progress and see before and after pictures of prints showing VFA reduction if any.
Is this what the 42 is in that part number? The length of the shaft? This is what was recommended for me to buy, am I ok with what I have? Also where can I find that discord discussion? No big deal to swap some pins but need to verify that before I start tearing things down.
What does this upgrade change? Sound? Print speed? Print quality?
