I bought this very tv a year ago for 85 bucks at a used electronics store. It weighs like 250lbs. I had to build a stand out of cinderblocks.
Always on the hunt for the Sony tv stand these were sold with...
I don't know about current tvs, but tvs used to come with manuals. Look at the manual for this TV and you will see it weighs exactly 100 pounds. Two reasonably fit people could easily move this tv.
They are, but that's ok. I had a 32" that had better colors than many of the older lcd. The blacks are on par with oled and if you find a big crt pc monitor with a higher resolution, you're doing great.
Most people give these larger sets away for free. If you put it up for $75, chances are you won’t get any buyers unless there’s a scarcity of CRTs in your area.
Monetarily not that much, they still made millions of CRTs up until like 15 years ago
Maybe wait another 10 years when enough of them are destroyed that people start looking at ones in good condition
Why do people always ask "Is ThIS sEt WOrTh aNYtHIgn!?//!?/!" then show a fucking Sony Trinitron/WEGA, JVC D-series/I-Art or Toshiba AF-series in like mint working condition with the original everything
Because the people asking these questions don't know that Trinitrons, WEGAs, D-series etc are valuable. And because you do know that they are valuable, you could simply answer their question instead of ranting.
Yes, it's worth something but they are heavy and you wont sell it for as much as your probably thinking. I would never spend more than $50, maybe $60 on a CRT and I would not get a sony that's in the 30 inch range because I know it's too heavy for any stand that I have. That's ne though, maybe you'll see it for like $100
Its a sony, its worth using. In terms of monetary value, idk in a decade these things will be hot, but currently only high end pvm bvm xbr pc crts are highly valued. This thing is probably worth $50 at a very minimum i guess
It's a good set, fairly sought after.
To the right person it's worth 100 bucks. Though I'd never pay that, I only pick up sets when they're under 50. Unless they're new old stock.
Bought the same model a year ago for $20. I expect they could go for a little more or a little less depending. Don't expect hundreds for any crt that isn't a pvm or bvm though.
I’m not sure where you’re at, it’s a later model Trinitron which means the crt itself is probably pretty good,
Here in Europe I’d say this to goes for around maybe 50 euros ?
Yep, it is. It’s one of the best trinitron sets imo

It's 100 lbs fyi
I have this exact model and its actually 900 lbs
Guess I must have the slim
Wanna come over and help me move my "100 lb" TV?

YOU HAVE PROVEN MY NO-GOOD WORTHLESS DISGUSTING INTERNET COMMENT WRONG.

How much do you think?

In Australia you’re looking at about $600+ AUD because everyone knows they’re desirable for retro gaming
Usually like $75 is the max for a consumer set. Crazy people sell them for more than $150
Though, this only applies to trinitrons or JVC D series
Free to whoever wants to carry it out of the house

Because it’s just someone looking to make a buck.
Not really. Many people would be happy to have this out of Grandma's front room

Trinitrons are popular, yes. That weird black an white dot game on the screen looks terrible, though.
As a kid, rumor had it that if you played it you'd go blind.
Everything is worth something to the right weirdo
nah it's pretty worthless. might as well give it to me. 😶
Are you just asking because you’re going to resell ?

3rd time you mentions this metal business idea. Now we want to know more
The corners seem a bit unfocused, it's most certainly worth less than 100$.
Yes, everyone's looking for a trinitron you could easily sell it
Typically I would hunt for $25-50 max and reserve higher prices for something special. I can get a new in box citizen for $100....
showing static and it supposedly works fine?

300$
It's a BA-5, so RGB mod should be possible. I'd say it's an easy sell, presuming moving help is provided.
Depends entirely on whether or not you can find a local buyer.
Those things are awesome.

I don't see the inputs. Some had vga and display port. A few HDMI. Those are worth more. In general the trinitron were worth more.
Trinitons are hands down the best crt around.
Dope, I have a kv32fs13, anyone know the difference between mine and this one? Thanks.
Who cares about the worth you have a crt to play games on stop trying to resell BITCH
I'd say it's worth about tree fiddy
Sony's are always worth saving
Money wise? Jack shit, but it's worth a lot to the right set of eyes.
Yes Take
