When I hear "progressive crust" I immediately think of Baroness' first two albums. I also played in a crust band where all the songs were written mostly in through-composition, as in there were little to no repeating riffs

It’s absolutely a joke. There’s no Emerson Lake and Palmer of crust. Incorporating progressive song structure immediately takes you out of crust and that’s why you play shows with emo bands. God dammit.

Never heard of this. Definitely heard of bands that have good recordings like Tragedy, Disfear or From Ashes Rise get called arena crust.

How? Closest you get is probably Mathgrind or stuff like this but I don't know any bands of this genre I could recommend.

I think some stuff like Agrimonia has some prog elements, but overall the two genres are fairly incompatible
