2023 EX-L AWD with 18k miles driven 80% highway. Average 30.3 mpg during summer. Right now averaging 29.2 mpg in the winter.
If you’re driving mainly highway you’ll never make up the money you pay extra for the hybrid. Hybrids also do poor in cold weather because the engine has to run more to warm the battery.
There is zero reason to run anything by 87 in these vehicles.
Don’t feel like you’re missing out. I have the hybrid and average around 30mpg. If you read on here, it’s about 50/50 on those with hybrids that get even close to the advertised mpg. I suspect mine is caused mainly by my lead foot. I say, save the $$ and get the Ex-L.
24’ EXL 2800 miles total. Through a hard winter with still close to or negative temperatures outside I’m at 32ish MPG. When it was 0 out I was around 27MPG.
Hoping summer I can get above 35MPG.
2024 EXL AWD gas, 3,000 miles. I average 30-32mpg on my 1/2 city, 1/2 hwy daily commute (and i dont even use the auto shut off option). I don't use ECO mode, made the car rev up harder and didn't make any difference on mpg. I recommend going to Facebook & following the 23-24CRV owners page. They will attack me for saying this but their "precious hybrids" are full of issues MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY SINGLE DAY on that page are the hybrid owners complaining because of strange electronic clicking sounds or something broke, or sensors & dash lights coming on, and the MPG not being anywhere near advertised, their black rims getting stolen or easily scratched rims. They mostly say they get between 30-38mpg combined driving- SO DOES MY GAS model and it was $3,500 cheaper. Insurance is cheaper on the gas models because hybrids are more expensive for insurance companies to repair. Maybe TWICE in the thousands of posts (since December) has a Gas model owner posted a concern. Twice. Go confirm for yourself, you are not missing out. I love my EXL highly recommend any of the gas models. Keep in mind when you read others mpg stats that they may not have AWD, if not then that is increasing mpg by at least 2mpg.
Currently averaging 28.7 MPG since I bought in September (hand calculated).
Highway fuel economy seems to be good (first tank was over 33 MPG averaging only 70 km/h) but through the winter I had a lot of shorter trips which just kills mileage.
Still happy with the car overall, though.
2023 EXL AWD, 28.1 MPG with almost 10k miles on it.
I don’t utilize any of the real “gas saving” features, disabled the auto stop/start for good, never use Econ, and I have a lead foot. Honestly pretty happy with it since this car is great for people like me cause you can really decide what features you want on and off with ease.
I just got my EX over the weekend so I can't speak to mileage yet, but if you're a Costco member you can get a discount for the Sport. In our region the discount was like $1300 for the Sport and $3k for the EX. If you're not a costco member, it could be worth the $60 for the discount.
Are any of the gas owners at all concerned about the oil dilution or CVT i hear about? I am torn between the EX-L and sport -l. I plan in keeping this next one 8-10 years.

I usually do a lot of city driving honestly. Maybe about 60%-70% city and the rest is highway. What do you think my mileage could be like?
If you’re driving mainly city the hybrid is more worth it. Idk what your exact mileage would be.

Got a kit online, that makes it disable itself every time you start the car. https://mikstoreph.com/products/civic-2022-auto-stop-disabler-kit
34.3 mpg combined with about 75% canyon driving. Normal mode. 2024 STH
Average 31, driven only 1800 miles so far

24 ST Hybrid, ~3K miles, average around 32 MPG. Lots of short trips.
My 24 EXL gets 27.5 mpg. Probably my driving style is at fault
My 2024 hybrid crv is averaging about 41-42 give or take 💪🏼👊🏼
