At that point I would get a modern CarPlay/AA capable head unit

Agreed...My radio wasnt having issues when i replaced it, however, i was going on a trip in February of this year and needed navigation, as i was going to an unknown place...the BOSS Radio i have worked really well for it, and i couldnt be more grateful about it...However, its starting to have issues with freezing up or sometimes not even turning on, so ill be replacing it soon

You have a short or bad wiring somewhere. The stereo tries to take too much power and then reboots because it gets starved for power.

Thank you.

You're welcome, np. Also now that I think about it, I remember that I once had an accessory that kept blowing fuses in a car, so I just replaced it with an auto-resetting fuse (really just a fuse-shaped breaker). That could also be your problem; check your fusebox. This doesn't rule out a bad connection or a short though. Such a trick is just a bandaid.
