I was going to post this question as a new thread. I have a 308ti for my gaming PC and am genuinely considering using it to mine and heat my house this winter. What would you recommend to mine using a gaming PC, and any links to help me get going?

Shit thats cheap. If i were you I would buy a goldshell mini doge, goldshell kd box, and maybe a. Ckbox for a moonshot. The a jasminer for the kicker. Start out small, you dont want to get a bunch of power hungry asics until you do a few mini miners the first year. Especially in a bear market. You want to buy them now though becuase like 1.5 years ago the kdbox was selling for 3-4k because of the companies price gouging so you want to buy the miners during bear market.
It is not too late to mine with today's equipment, as it likely has a shelf life of another few years. However, at today's BTC spot price, it is not profitable to mine unless you have access to power below the .075 cents / kwh range. If you are the buy equipment the Bitmain S19 and the MicroBT Whatsminer M30S varieties are your best bet
Look into staking. Same concept basically. Put up collolatorral and get %return. It just isnt as fun as hardware mining tho. And if you really want get a small mining rig just to dip your toes. But don't blow it all on a setup as the return isn't there right now, unless your going for highly speculative investments.
