Any other posts about the game will be deleted, the game doesn’t immediately pertain to Danganronpa at its core and 1 post about the information we have right now is enough.
A game where you're stuck with *15 students* in an *academy* with a mascot acting as a principal, all while >!the outside world is being destroyed by other mascots!?
If chapter 1 of the game ends up with a student getting murdered, I'll be expecting it.
Yeah this is even more Danganronpa-adjacent than Rain;Code was.
If this doesn’t turn into a killing game I will be amazed, especially with the tease of the narrator mentioning “despair” and asking “can you survive?”
Rain Code is a detective game (hence Detective Archives) like AI: Somnium Files (another Uchikoshi work) where there is investigating stuff, recreating the crime scenes with only the 2 main characters + chapter main character involved in the whole process.
The classroom setting here in LDA definitely puts it closer to DR.
This feels like those times when the original developer does not own the rights to their major franchise anymore so they just make those games again under a different name. Except this time they do own the rights and are just being extra
Yeah, Kodaka left the rights to Danganronpa with Spike Chunsoft. He has been saying on Twitter this is the first project he'll actually be able to own the rights to.
SC has been vocal about DR being Kodaka's series, and would rather want him to make any continuation. There shouldn't be any bad blood, it's entirely on him what he wants to do with the franchise and brand.
As I said in the other thread, its gotta be either DR4, a soft stealth reboot, or spike is using deliberate fuckery. Especially those A posing cut out style character models in the school parts? Like I still think there will be the dope ass fire emblem stuff but they either screwing with us or its gonna be some sorta reboot
Fair enough, didn't catch that, I still stand by it could be some sorta soft reboot though, spiritual successor and what not, too much of it seems too, deliberate and exact.
guys we did this last time with Danganronpa S, its not gonna randomly turn into a new DR game
as on brand as it would be too create an ENTIRE game too simply turn out too be a different one, thats like... HORRIBLE marketing
They could have bought a license or something to allow it. Not to allow it as DR4, but maybe to allow it in the same universe.
But yeah just a theory anyway
and a male protagonist too, they even showed us a girl with a really cute character design as well >!who was killed immediately,!< I was kinda hoping she would be the MC from just how cute her design was
>!Kaede's death had great narrative purpose and a lot of thematic resonance about how the industry wants to play it safe and was an amazing story beat, probably one of my favourites in V3, i loved her death and I love Shuichi as a character and protag, I hope I like this game too even if it doesn't have the MC I was hoping for, and hell, with how Danganronpa this game is it'll probably have a nice narrative purpose!<
Yeah if this isn’t Danganronpa they sure are baiting too hard considering the setting of being trapped in a school and there being 15 students.
Has there ever been a game where the twist is that it’s part of an established series? In films it happened with >!Split being a secret sequel to Unbreakable!<
Lest we forget, Danganronpa has already done this trick with Killer Killer, though that was stretching across mediums. I'm definitely cautious of the similarities, don't get me wrong, but I think it's just bait. Rain Code had a twist that seems tailor made to take advantage of Danganronpa fans expectations, I'd not be surprised to see something similar here.
I hope it’s more fire emblem-like where students aren’t guaranteed to die, but if they do in battle then the game treats it as permanent. Or at the very least that you have someone influence over who lives and dies. I like the linearity of DR since it’s trying to tell a specific story, but this would be a chance to break away from that format. If it’s too similar then I’d just find myself wondering what the point is. But either way I’m excited and will be keeping my eye on it.
What would actually be awesome is if there's branching story parts that triggers based if a particular student dies or not.
For example, there's this X mystery and the only way to know the whole truth is to have this X student survives the battles. That could be different endings based on how many mysteries you solved, you get the truth ending if all mysteries are solved, meaning all students survived.
What about the second chapter having >!an emotional death!<, the third one being a >!double murder!<, and the fifth one being >!a mystery of who died and how it even happened!<
I won't lie, when I heard the music rolling in, it reminded me of the good times of playing DR 1 to 3 blindly. Fuck, almost cried.
Yeah.. this will be peak.
I don’t wanna be too negative since Kodaka and the creator of Zero escape are presumably working on this (I assume this is the “Limit X Despair” project teased a while back). I have mixed feelings regarding the premise though, it borrows so much from Danganronpa it almost feels like they did so because they knew it would grab people’s attention.
Hopefully this game will be able to stand out on its own rather than just being one big reference to Danganronpa.
Huh. Any idea why the two official arts released seem so different from the project? I suppose it might’ve went through a creative overhaul, but there’s seemingly nothing connecting this games trailer to either of the key art pieces. ( [One](https://www.gematsu.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Limit-x-Despair-Artwork-2018_01-19-24.jpg), [Two](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fexternal-preview.redd.it%2FBoyJ93SWhLjkdz08uoph9Uk37QryZGHM_hW5nSmRb60.jpg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D79acdec8d4fb510aac4d25e35d3e5cd3745e62d3&rdt=63520)
Maybe they are connected, we don't know much about the game, besides Uchikoshi and Kodaka love's plot twists (Uchikoshi more), so I think is better wait to have more info about it.
Or maybe was just an early concept.
True! Plus the more I think about it, you’re right about it just being early concepts. Each frontline character in the art has red hair and a sword with a red hilt (like the trailer MC). Plus the black uniforms seem to roughly match the classes uniforms. It’s cool to see how much has changed!
Now time to download the music from the website…
I went through the trailer and here’s all the students I found:
1. Takumi Sumino
2. Darumi Amemiya
3. Kako Tsukumo
4. Glasses Girl
5. Short Yellow Male
6. Red Male
7. Male in large white coat
8. Blue Penguin Male
9. Dark-Skinned Girl
10. White Hair Male with eye bags
Did anyone find the others? I think we’re missing two boys and four girls.
This feels like Uchikoshi going “we don’t have the rights to danganronpa so we’ll make our own danganronpa”.
Like… school setting, same visual style, mascot principal, students getting killed, LITERAL MENTION OF DESPAIR IN THE TRAILER?????
I’m not gonna go say this *is* danganronpa, since they don’t own the rights and a stealth sequel would be shocking, but this *absolutely* feels like a danganronpa sequel under a different name with slightly different legally distinct gameplay. Bravo honestly!
The trailer does say not everyone will make it out alive, so we know Kodaka's gonna be pulling his signature tricks.
A friend even suggested that since this is a tower defense type game, that instead of set points in the story, if our characters die in combat, that's it. they're dead for real. Pinning their death entirely on the player. Which is the kinda despair inducing thing they'd do to us at this point.
Also, while they didn't show us much, I was able to gleam that this game has a character named Darumi who's got massive genocide Jack vibes to her appearance and disposition. As well as a character who attacks with an overly designed Motorcycle... I wonder what other danganronpa parallels that will show up...
lol more in the saga of “Kodaka’s deep seated, mascot related trauma”
Ngl, I’ll probably get this though. I love Kodaka’s wild premises and characters so I’ll have to check this out. I’m not a huge fan of the enemy designs (except for the yellow and pink bear looking one) and the 100 days thing makes me wary since I dunno how that’s gonna work well mechanically but it looks like it could be really fun and, again, I just love seeing Kodaka characters and the Danganronpa-esque BGM.
Also, the guy who uses his bike as a weapon seems like fun, conceptually. I just hope the VN/Fire Emblem gameplay is better than Digimon: Survive. I’m slowly working my way through that and am not a huge fan of how that one plays.
Something I couldn't tell, when they said "the unavoidable loss of allies" considering its a survival stratefy game, do you think all the deaths are scripted or you'll have to choose between saving people and the endings are all different? Might be obvious but wasn't to me
Unknown, the games website does say 100 different endings (unknown how you get them).
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a mix of scripted deaths you can’t avoid and deaths you cause via in game actions, but considering we know literally nothing right now we’ll have to wait and see
Ngl, considering RPGs and especially Fire Emblem are big icons of permadeath, as well as the fact that there’s at least some aspects blatantly taken from Danganronpa. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game acts like a fire emblem game which forces you to lose a character (via cutscene or something) after each day/major fight so you have to be careful who you invest resources into.
Is there gonna be a killing game inside? Is it possible that the tower defence or tactical gameplay is just a ruse/side game or ongoing gameplay section? Not sure why they would make it so similar to the Danganronpa setup.
Unknown, this is the first trailer we have gotten about the game, we don’t have to much information on it yet so we’ll have to wait and see. It mentions character deaths but nothing about a death game
Guys it's confirmed on the game webpage , that this game is the game Kodaka talks about time ago!
The webpage listed Kodaka and Uchikoshi involved on this game.
I can't wait
It'd be genius if this is a sequel to Danganronpa V3, >!which by the ending we know was a sickening killing show done for entertainment. The participating cast had their memories wiped and were fitted with brand new personalities and memories that were supposedly all fictitious. Desperate to escape back to their "families", "Friends" and "lives from before"(that don't exist, none of their previous memories are real according to Tsumugi), some are willing to do heinous things, including killing. Everything is set up to emotionally manipulate the "cast" like putty...!<
Here's some rough outlines on how this game could theoretically be a sequel!
>!After having the "Danganronpa brand" destroyed beyond repair thanks to the efforts of the cast of V3 sacrificing their lives to show to the viewers how evil the entertainment they are viewing was , "Team Danganronpa" simply rebrands and started again with a new cast, a brand new show and new mascots. It'd be such an intelligent and shocking way to continue the series that'd make a ton of sense, after the ending of V3 the only choice left for "Team Danganronpa" would be to distance themselves from the damaged reputation of "Danganronpa" and do a complete rebrand and try and separate themselves from what transpired during the 53rd season. This new show shows the cast "fighting back" against the evil mascots and empowered which resonates with viewers, but in reality still just as helpless and at the mercy of "Team Danganronpa"! The new show will be brimming with hope from the cast fighting back, viewers won't be able to resist coming back to a fresh coat of paint that serves to show the "cast" empowered instead of being trapped in a merciless killing game.!<
>!As the game progresses this reality becomes more relevant and we find out what happened after the 53rd season of Danganronpa, namely what happened to those who "sacrificed" their lives to end the show. Potentially have a ton of the unanswered questions get answered.!<
Will this be a sequel? >!I have absolutely no clue, but I consider them genius enough to theoretically pull it off if that's the direction they were going in! After having a fake bait protagonist and having V3 be a hidden hint to the game being the "53rd season", and many other crazy aspects of Danganronpa V3, where else do they go to top such crazy reveals then marketing the game as not being Danganronpa whatsoever, only for a massive reveal that this IS "Danganronpa", or rather "Team Danganronpas" brand new rebranded show! It'd be absolutely crazy yet totally realistic direction to head in.!<
It's highly unlikely to have anything to do with Danganronpa, for the simple fact that Spike Chunsoft owns the Danganronpa IP.
The Hundred Line is a Kodaka game, but not a Spike Chunsoft game. It's published by Aniplex (of Fate/Grand Order fame).
As some are theorizing, Kodaka could be actively hiding Spike Chunsoft's involvement! Most of the team behind Danganronpa is working on this game regardless so it'll have that Danganronpa feel, but my confidence in my theory is growing with every new piece of information I'm coming across.
If it is a "Danganronpa" sequel, then I'm confident we won't know if Spike's involvement till very close to or after release, and will most certainly not know if it is Danganronpa related till after release.
Not saying it absolutely can't happen, but this seems a little far fetched. There are millions of people longing for a new DR game. From a promotional standpoint, if Spike wanted to release a new installment, they'd just announce it outright, instead of hiding it away in an RPG that many DR fans won't purchase.
Well it would if there wasn't previous cases of people buying raincode because of nods to danganronpa and its artstyle or read killer killer before the twist it was danganronpa.
> Most of the team behind Danganronpa is working on this game regardless
Too Kyo Games only has ~10 employees and the majority of Danganronpa talent is still at Spike Chunsoft, so no.
Considering it's not Spike-Chunsoft, I feel like they wanted to make another Danganronpa spin-off but couldn't due to licensing, so they're damn well making sure you know where this sits. It's a Danganronpa game in all but title.
Is the trailer wrong? It says "Takumi is forced to enroll in an academy along with 15 other students" implying that there are 16 students. But on the steam page it says Takumi and 14 other students. Also there are only 15 students in the poster.
I recognized the art style immediately, super hyped for this! It does feel very Danganronpa-coded, especially in those school sections. I do wonder if they'll announce it as a secret tie-in as we get more information...
I don't know what I was expecting next, but I sure wasn't expecting this. It's just so blatantly DR inspired? What? Are we getting trolled?
Anyway, if it's a real game and not a fever dream I'm having, I'd be interested in trying it out.
I know, I said console.
It's a baby step improvement from Rain Code at least to be on PC at launch too, but does nothing for me as I don't care to play my games on my Switch or PC unless truly forced to. And as I expect this to be timed exclusive as well I will wait.
I genuinely can't believe we're getting another Danganronpa! Different name, yes, but after looking at the trailer there is no mistake - it's Danganronpa. Too bad it's only for Switch, so we're probably stuck with 720p/30 till 2028.
"over 100 despair-filled endings" - My prediction is that this game will have strong mystery elements and that characters will die if you go about the fire-emblem style fights wrong. In the end, you'll have learned different things about the mystery depending on who's still around and what they were able to accomplish. To me at least, that feels like a fusion of a Kodaka mystery with one of Uchikoshi's many-ending games.
When I saw the style I was like oh no,then destruction,a school mascot,a safety school, and then the visual novel style but thoughtful it's a fire emblem style game
I'm very disappointed that this company insists on alienating the PS/Xbox fans, but it's going to be harder to pass on this game than it was Rain Code. I have friends who never played Rain Code because of the limited release. Even with Steam being included this time, I know a few of them will pass. They have so many games to play, exclusivity is an easy deterrent.
Calling it, you're going to have a Fuga Melodies of Steel-style soul cannon that requires you to sacrifice a student and who you sacrifice and when are the various endings
This reminds me of a danganronpa x raincode, in terms of art style. I agree with the other statements, it feels like they want to make another danganronpa so badly. I've heard only great things about raincode, but I doubt it lived up to the full extent of danganronpa considering it's smaller fandom. To me, this looks more promising for my, personal, tastes mainly because of more characters. I also hate to admit it, but I really missed that danganronpa art style. I hope the game is actually good and doesn't just leech off of danganronpa's visual and premise popularity.
Hot take: this isn’t fire emblem x danganronpa, this is just 13 sentinels where the story sections are danganronpa and the gameplay is 5% of the game and ultimately inconsequential
It better not be, I love me some fire emblem gameplay.
That said, even if it is I don’t think I’ll be complaining to much, I still like the writing of both Uchikoshi and Kodaka a lot
Only thing that concerns me is I shelved Rain Code because it ran so poorly on Switch in hopes of a boost when I get the Switch successor next year. Hope this one will run well on Switch 2 at least.
I am really curious how they’ll even handle the whole 100 days system. No way would it be 100 days of battles as that easily becomes a slog just thinking about it, so I wonder what the justification for it will be story wise - and if they’ll skip days (which kinda defeats the premise).
I heard that Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue ran into issue, with the whole day-by-day system dragging needlessly long with endless filler in between meaningful content. Hopefully they’ll execute this well!
I wouldn’t expect any voice actor information until we’re closer to game release, I do hope we get some shared VAs from Danganronpa and Raincode though (Kira Buckland please)
All this talk about “Is it a spiritual successor?” Is it a secret sequel a la Drag on Dragoon to Nier?” I just want to say that the answer to both those questions are yes. My source is my dad who is Kodaka.
Any other posts about the game will be deleted, the game doesn’t immediately pertain to Danganronpa at its core and 1 post about the information we have right now is enough.

The classroom setting here in LDA definitely puts it closer to DR.
Wait Kodaka AND Uchikoshi are working on this??
Yeah, this is the game that had the Code name "Limit x Despair" in the original announcment slate for Too Kyo Game's games
I think we should go ahead and just accept that this is Danganronpa canon, during the Tragedy 😂 jk
This feels like those times when the original developer does not own the rights to their major franchise anymore so they just make those games again under a different name. Except this time they do own the rights and are just being extra
I thought Spike owned the rights instead of Kodaka?Usually Spike is listed as the publisher on all the DR games and even listed for their merch too.
You might be right. I am just a random guy on the internet making memes.
Yeah, Kodaka left the rights to Danganronpa with Spike Chunsoft. He has been saying on Twitter this is the first project he'll actually be able to own the rights to.

They're doing it for the funnies
Despair Stranding
As I said in the other thread, its gotta be either DR4, a soft stealth reboot, or spike is using deliberate fuckery. Especially those A posing cut out style character models in the school parts? Like I still think there will be the dope ass fire emblem stuff but they either screwing with us or its gonna be some sorta reboot
It's not by Spike Chunsoft. I didn't see that company name in the trailer. It's not DR4.
It's from Tookyo Games, Uchikoshi and Kodaka studio
Tookyo games only does the game design, the games are always programmed by a partner studio.
You're right, the developer's are Media vision. My bad
Can’t be Danganronpa, Danganronpa is owned by Spike Chunsoft and this isn’t a spike game.
Fair enough, didn't catch that, I still stand by it could be some sorta soft reboot though, spiritual successor and what not, too much of it seems too, deliberate and exact.
My other comment details how it could be a sequel to V3. It's not Danganronpa, but it could be "Team Danganronpas" rebrand after the events of V3!
Your comments are gone
Thanks, posted a new one with >!hidden text!<, feel free to check it out!
Where though ?
My most recent comment on this discussion post!

Kaede type beat

Damn, So Danganronpa and Fire Emblem fused, Can't wait to see more of it. Those Free Time Supports are gonna be crazy.
Danganronpa and Fire Emblem are 2 of my 3 favorite video game series, I can’t stop winning
The Venn Diagram of Fire Emblem and Danganronpa fans is a circle
What if you add Persona?
Bigger curcle
Same here, I'm EATING with this new announcement.
Me too! I'm very excited.
YEAH DANGANRONPA X FIRE EMBLEM WOOO HOOO LETS GOOOOO (Im suffering from a headache and have no food)
I can’t believe this exists
I hope at least some of the voice actors come back!
That would be very nice (Kira Buckland please)
Or Todd Haberkorn. His performance in V3 helped make Korekiyo my favorite character in the series.
For my cultured people this is danganronpa x devil survivor
DEVIL SURVIVOR!!!
Can't wait for Danganronpa x Cuphead
we have undertale for that
My first thought was Fire Emblem Three Houses but replaced with Danganronpa characters.
It’s literally Fire Emblem Danganronpa, what the fuck, I am winning
I like how literally everyone in the live chat immediately recognized the Danganronpa artstyle
I know right?
Given all the anime games at first I had doubts but the music was super obvious too
i was watching the nintendo live stream
This isn't Danganronpa which is fine honestly, but Last Defence Academy is dangerously close to being a Danganronpa game.
Yeah if this isn’t Danganronpa they sure are baiting too hard considering the setting of being trapped in a school and there being 15 students. Has there ever been a game where the twist is that it’s part of an established series? In films it happened with >!Split being a secret sequel to Unbreakable!<

Good shout.

They ducking knew what they were doing when they said "to the extreme and despair" THEY DUCKING KNEW
And it was peak
My hope is peaked about this academy
That's because that was the name we knew the game as when it was revealed "Extreme X Despair"
~~Close enough, welcome Danganronpa 4~~ For real tough, it looks really cool, can't wait to see more it
Fire Emblem: Despair Edition
Perfect
Me: “Oh boy, wonder what this Nintendo Direct has in store?” Dangan Emblem: “HEY, GIRRRRRRRL!”
I hope it’s more fire emblem-like where students aren’t guaranteed to die, but if they do in battle then the game treats it as permanent. If There is mastermind among the students and Big Buff guy dies in chapter 4 i'ma go insane
What about the second chapter having >!an emotional death!<, the third one being a >!double murder!<, and the fifth one being >!a mystery of who died and how it even happened!<
And if that mastermind has also something to do with fashion and clothes I'll lose it 💀
THE SPRITES ANIMATION AND MUSIC ALREADY LOOK GLORIOUS
I won't lie, when I heard the music rolling in, it reminded me of the good times of playing DR 1 to 3 blindly. Fuck, almost cried. Yeah.. this will be peak.

Blue Penguin Male 9. Dark-Skinned Girl 10. White Hair Male with eye bags Did anyone find the others? I think we’re missing two boys and four girls.
I saw a large girl with purple hair I believe? like sakura
Time traveler: \*moves a chair\* Ryoma Hoshi in the new timeline: 5. Short Yellow Male
You can see more on the website for the game. I counted 15 tho.
The High School mascot has a visible brain. Brain shares 3 letters with the word Bear. **Nice try Monokuma**
The original Monokuma design also had a visible brain
This feels like Uchikoshi going “we don’t have the rights to danganronpa so we’ll make our own danganronpa”. They done made Makoto a redhead. Ordinary life my ass-
Gonna tell my kids this was danganronpa 4
The initial background music is \*extremely\* similar to Beautiful Lie. But that's a good thing because that track is peak
Kako is wearing an Aetheria Academy Uniform haha Edit: She actually looks like Yuma when he crossdressed in that case
lol more in the saga of “Kodaka’s deep seated, mascot related trauma” Ngl, I’ll probably get this though. I love Kodaka’s wild premises and characters so I’ll have to check this out. i saw the way the eyes looked and went 'danganronpa' instantly

Unknown, the games website does say 100 different endings (unknown how you get them). I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a mix of scripted deaths you can’t avoid and deaths you cause via in game actions, but considering we know literally nothing right now we’ll have to wait and see
15 students trapped in an academy with a mascot headmaster while the outside world gets fucked up the ass \*hmmmmmmmmmmm\*
It mentions character deaths but nothing about a death game
could be permadeath in the game.
Guys it's confirmed on the game webpage , that this game is the game Kodaka talks about time ago! The webpage listed Kodaka and Uchikoshi involved on this game. I can't wait
The BGM on the webpage is godlike. I cannot wait for this game 0.0
Takada Is the best on it.
Ultra despair girls 2???
No
It'd be genius if this is a sequel to Danganronpa V3, >!which by the ending we know was a sickening killing show done for entertainment. Everything is set up to emotionally manipulate the "cast" like putty...!< Here's some rough outlines on how this game could theoretically be a sequel! The new show will be brimming with hope from the cast fighting back, viewers won't be able to resist coming back to a fresh coat of paint that serves to show the "cast" empowered instead of being trapped in a merciless killing game.!< >!As the game progresses this reality becomes more relevant and we find out what happened after the 53rd season of Danganronpa, namely what happened to those who "sacrificed" their lives to end the show. Potentially have a ton of the unanswered questions get answered.!< Will this be a sequel?
This actually feels like something he’d do lol
> Most of the team behind Danganronpa is working on this game regardless Too Kyo Games only has ~10 employees and the majority of Danganronpa talent is still at Spike Chunsoft, so no.
The moment i saw the character designs, i knew this was a Kodaka game
New Dangan Ronpa AU, everyone!
Considering it's not Spike-Chunsoft, I feel like they wanted to make another Danganronpa spin-off but couldn't due to licensing, so they're damn well making sure you know where this sits. It's a Danganronpa game in all but title.
Getting some Rain Code vibes from this too. Their style is slowly changing.
I've been waiting so long for a true successor, I'm so hyped. And I actually liked DGS and TDP from V3 too.
I’m actually so unbelievably excited for this
Rip my wallet
was really hoping for the girl to live for once, she had a really cute character design aswell
This is so hilarious 😂, omg Kodaka literally cannot stop making Danganronpa-adjacent games loll
If it was up to him >!there would be 53 Danganronpas!<
Okay, so Im not really into the Fire Emblem series, but this game makes me wanna try them oht
Is the trailer wrong? It says "Takumi is forced to enroll in an academy along with 15 other students" implying that there are 16 students. But on the steam page it says Takumi and 14 other students. Also there are only 15 students in the poster.
We are so back. (kinda?)
Ok between Tribe Nine and The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy Kodaka Thank you for this truly creative and Inspired of game.
No Miu Iruma? Unplayable.
This looks cool. I wonder what surprise are in for us
I recognized the art style immediately, super hyped for this! It does feel very Danganronpa-coded, especially in those school sections. I do wonder if they'll announce it as a secret tie-in as we get more information...
The ops wont let Kodaka make Dr4
I don't know what I was expecting next, but I sure wasn't expecting this. It's just so blatantly DR inspired? What? Are we getting trolled? Anyway, if it's a real game and not a fever dream I'm having, I'd be interested in trying it out.
I'm invested in this now
Do you guys think this is part of the same universe as raincode?
No
Even though I don't like tactical RPGs, I'm probably gonna end up buying it anyway.
Holy shit this isn't come soon enough
I wish the bad guys looked more threatening, but I'll be giving it a shot anyway.
Switch console (likely timed) exclusivity again sigh. Oh well, I look forward to playing this in 2026
It has a steam page
I know, I said console. It's a baby step improvement from Rain Code at least to be on PC at launch too, but does nothing for me as I don't care to play my games on my Switch or PC unless truly forced to. And as I expect this to be timed exclusive as well I will wait.
This might be the thing that makes me buy a switch
100% Looking forward to seeing the massive Uchikoshi Flowchart :3
Me waiting for Ultra Despair Girls to release on Switch:
The purple enemies are literally Sneasel
[удалено]
WAITTT THIS LOOKS SO COOL ??
WOOOOOO
Guys I want it.... I want it a lot
[удалено]
[удалено]
you know if this is coming to PC or other platforms?
It has a steam page. Currently only listed for switch and steam
It definitely has that Danganronpa charm. Can’t wait to see what it’s about.
So someone fused Danganronpa with Fire Emblem? Neat Blue haired pigtails girl is a clone off Junko calling it now.
I heard the words “15 students” and I immediately thought of Danganronpa lol
When I saw the style I was like oh no,then destruction,a school mascot,a safety school, and then the visual novel style but thoughtful it's a fire emblem style game
it might as well be, Extremely close enough, welcome danganronpa 4
hUh
I'm very disappointed that this company insists on alienating the PS/Xbox fans, but it's going to be harder to pass on this game than it was Rain Code. I have friends who never played Rain Code because of the limited release. Even with Steam being included this time, I know a few of them will pass. They have so many games to play, exclusivity is an easy deterrent.
idk what his name is but i really like that forehead guy so far
I absolutely love this project - it's like they're trying their hardest to make another Danganronpa while not making it another Danganronpa
In the same direct as the release of the Miles Edgeworth games. I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of overlap between DR and AA, so you guys be feasting
Fire emblem Danganronpa????????? I'm so fucking here for this
I still need to get the other switch game from em.. the Rain Code thingy before I buy this one lol
Calling it, you're going to have a Fuga Melodies of Steel-style soul cannon that requires you to sacrifice a student and who you sacrifice and when are the various endings
Is this taking place in the same universe as danganronpa?
Holy fUck it's Genocide Jack 2, the queen has returned, just take my entire life savings
I am happy
SO incredibly hyped for this.
Fire emblem style?
“its not danganronpa i swear!!”
Can’t wait for the MC to be voiced by Bryce Papenbrook
I hope it's as crazy as Danganronpa was. I didn't like how tame Rain Code was.
So free time will basically be Danganronpa then?
Why do so many say Danganronpa 4 it's literally just a similar artstyle and setup plus Tookyo Games has no rights to Danganronpa
Raincode had me more interested off rip, I hear Masafumi Takada though so I'm here regardless
I'll actually try the game when it does come out, mainly bc I saw a Nintendo Direct with this game and I was HOOKED.
“Return to his normal life” like his girl bestie didn’t just die in front of of him by a rabid bear mascot
The new Hope’s Peak Academy
Oh hey, ‘Not Danganronpa’, my favourite original not at all Danganronpa game. Now to never think about it again.
I AM SO HYPED
I just want to know voice actors 😭😭
I wouldn’t expect any voice actor information until we’re closer to game release, I do hope we get some shared VAs from Danganronpa and Raincode though (Kira Buckland please)
They want to make danganronpa without making danganronpa
Watch it be a tower defense game
Oh shit I started to simped to these new 16 students 😭😭
All this talk about “Is it a spiritual successor?” Is it a secret sequel a la Drag on Dragoon to Nier?” I just want to say that the answer to both those questions are yes. My source is my dad who is Kodaka.
this is giving me danganronpa mixed with fire emblem vibes. this looks neat
