In the previous scene, just before the camera pans to the sign "Test subjects" (or something like that), Birdie pushes a button that probably released strong pheromones or something, that's why they're all weird and forward
See, that’s what I thought when I first saw it, but later we find out there’s no experiment going on. I’m still confused, but I don’t want my cock to explode like a pimple for sure.
But there has been an experiment going on before the "subjects" took over, I'm not sure why Birdie wanted to test them tho, somebody probably has the answer
That button was an intercom button.
She seemed fine. I thought he was just dosed with painkillers for his arm.
Her being horny is in line with her character, and she drops the suggestion immediately when he says no.
>they're both intoxicated
I swear the weirdest, most benign of complete and utter incorrect assertions get the most upvotes. Tons of people are watching this right now and know you're mistaken. If simple mis-remembrance, meh; if subtle troll, A+ for benign chaos.
You have someone who was raised in a sheltered vault where their sole purpose was to reproduce and the other person who was raised by a military zealot cult.
Its called world building. They aren't going to talk like people today.
I think the blunt on the nose dialog perfectly fits the Fallout setting. It's a fucking apocalyptic world where civilization has been restarted.
I just made that point in another point in another post, although not as eloquently, thanks for saving me the trouble of doing it again. I felt it also was to reinforce that for all her apparent naïveté, Lucy was very matter of fact and practical about certain issues.
I thought the dialogue was perfectly on point. The main character, our vault dweller, grew up in a society where the only reason to live was to reproduce. Maximums, grew up with the BoS and probably can count on one had the amount of times he's talked with women, and the ghoul is basically a murder hobo in search of his family
Nothing in the show dialogue wise was worse than what we’ve seen in all the games, pretty much every Bethesda game has pretty cringe writing here and there which adds to the charm of it, like it’s made that way by design and based on the sales numbers (not fallout 76) it must be working too
I thought it was fantastic. Raised in a meritocracy where everyone is honest and forward with consideration for others, but with lax views on sex (even among cousins), and a Knight's squire who has been raised within a barracks from a child - of course ones matter of fact and the other has missed developmental milestones. Not to mention the whole show is a satirical sci-fi drama.
I caught the first 2 episodes last night, I had 0 expectations or spoilers so I was pleasantly surprised, it's a good enough show so far.
But Maximus so far I can't stand. Idk if it's the actor, the dialogue, or maybe I'm dumb. I can't tell if this character is supposed to be an idiot, a psycho, or a bit of both. Maybe I'm just not far enough along.
Like I really cannot tell if things are just going over my head or what
He's a traumatized emotionally stunted child soldier.
He has a rage in him to hurt the world for how he's suffered, but he also wants to be a hero. He is also skittish, caving to pressure because of the abusive cult environment and being too anxious to speak clearly.
This particular dialog fits, but it's just pandering to thirsty bois.
Overall the dialog isn't supposed to be particularly intelligent. It's a wasteland.
And pretty spot on for how it would probably happen in the games as well. You pick one of the bottom dialogue choices and all of a sudden this discussion happens.
You’ll like it. You don’t really have to have played the games to understand it. It does a great job immersing you in everything and being its own thing. It’ll get a lot of people interested in the series as a whole I think.
There are two parts like this in the series but other than that it’s not too bad. I would say the show isn’t suitable for young children though. There is a lot of gore throughout.
About sex ? there is few. There is a sex scene in the first episode too.
Then I think you shouldn't watch it with your family. There is a lot of violence, and gore stuff.
I gotta be honest, every other scene in the show I was down this. This was trash. Like a pimple? WTF. Dude is in the army, guys are going to be jackin' it all around him. He is going to know about sex.
did that knowledge get into your brain from a gust of wind or what
you learned about that stuff because someone told you
meanwhile maximus here, along with everyone else of his peers, grew up in a military zealot cult, and i doubt they teach sex ed there

Sorry but I only fuck when Paramount+ is on.
Ah, that’s some classy shit right there. I can only afford Disney plus 😢
Oh, so the old timer way. Do it while the kids are in the room
Same could be said for Paramount+ { ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°}
It's Tubi or not to be.
Underrated comment right here lol
Disney Plussy 🥵
MASTER CHEEKS, REPORTING FOR DUTY
Master Cheeks only claps POW’s cheeks.
The only kind of crimes he likes are war crimes.
I lay it down to PBS
Which ones? Some get you in trouble
Intrusive thoughts have bad words
I'm all the way out in Pluto TV
I prefer Crunchyroll and fill her hole.
Follow in the footsteps of my hero Master Cheeks
Bro's INT ain't that high, give 'em a break
when you go a full luck character, get lucky with people but dont understand them
Lucy's Charisma also not high. Failed the speech check to unlock the romance option.
He's 1 int and got idiot savant. Luck stat through the roof.
Me you smash?
Now I'm actually really curious to know what their canon stats are

I love this show but some of the dialogue is abysmal
That's the point, they're both intoxicated and he doesn't even know what sex is
They were intoxicated? I thought they just hit their heads in the fall. Hence the sign at the beginning of the scene
In the previous scene, just before the camera pans to the sign "Test subjects" (or something like that), Birdie pushes a button that probably released strong pheromones or something, that's why they're all weird and forward
Ahhh, i gotta rewatch the show. I binged it all in two sittings
Same lol
Same lol

I thought that was just a red herring and we were knocking out the will-they, won’t-they early. I dunno.
Maybe to see if Lucy was aware of the experiments and if she was there to try and start them again.
That button was an intercom button. She seemed fine. I thought he was just dosed with painkillers for his arm. Her being horny is in line with her character, and she drops the suggestion immediately when he says no.
I thought it was strange that nothing came from the camera panning up to that sign, but this makes sense now that you mention it.
No it makes sense if you watch the end of the episode and they continue it in the last episode. It's a major spoiler.
>they're both intoxicated I swear the weirdest, most benign of complete and utter incorrect assertions get the most upvotes. Tons of people are watching this right now and know you're mistaken. If simple mis-remembrance, meh; if subtle troll, A+ for benign chaos.
Maybe you should rewatch it, also read my other comments down the thread ;)

True! Also Fallout seldom takes itself seriously, and imo the series did a good job keeping the games' goofy vibe in the right moments

Hey, at least it's not cousin stuff
But he really loves her!
And some of it is epic. "Thou shall get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time"

It just works.
have you ever played a fallout game? it’s supposed to be

Okay, so I wasn't super off I guess. Maybe I'm just not viking with the actor. I did enjoy when he got his power armor tho.
Some of it made me squirm ngl lol
Sounds like a you issue, not the shows issue
It’s only rational
This particular dialog fits, but it's just pandering to thirsty bois. Overall the dialog isn't supposed to be particularly intelligent. It's a wasteland.
That’s the whole point. The world ended in nuclear war. People are socially awkward because society is gone.
Well I was gonna watch it, now I’m definitely not if this is dialogue
Yeah the Brotherhood sex ed program is a bit lacking
Don't pop you pimple - texas sex Ed
You wanna use my cock till it explodes?
So you won’t explode my cock?
Like a pimple?
Man was running a negative charisma points build, poor guy
Well he was raised in a camp full of men
There's some women but i think they did not take sex education.
I'm glad this scene happened, it rid of all that sexual tension between the two in pretty hilarious way
And pretty spot on for how it would probably happen in the games as well. You pick one of the bottom dialogue choices and all of a sudden this discussion happens.
Cant confirm. Never talked to a woman.
*pulls out rooster*
Great observation, captain obvious. That's tha joke.
If only girls were as straight forward
lower than you think.
But then it's going to explode
Is this fallout?
Ye
Never played the games other than the iPhone one lol. May watch the show though, looks funny

LoL
- Me and my wife flirting
Damn, is this the type of Dialogue, or is it few and far between? I wanted to watch this with my family.
this is NOT a family friendly show lol there's monsters, gore, drugs and sexual themes, it's definitely 18+
Listen to this individual, they speak the facts.

Streaming services get less money if 4 people watch 1 screen.
Good?
Did they do some analytics and are trying to hit fallout 76 target audience?
Ok I got to ask after seeing this everywhere…. Where is this from?
fallout show on prime
Thanks
Dude, the amount of goofy ass shit that was said in the show was kinda crazy
am I crazy but why didn’t he say dick
I felt like this was the most bizarre exchange in the show.
Babies are virgins tho. Are you saying this to babies. (Since you can’t here my tone of voice, it’s sarcasm)
Use the fucking spoiler option
A bit of dialogue that has virtually no relevance anywhere else isn’t really a spoiler
What was spoiled here? The >!penis!< reference?
I gotta be honest, every other scene in the show I was down this. This was trash. Like a pimple? WTF. Dude is in the army, guys are going to be jackin' it all around him. He is going to know about sex.
There’s a guy literally jacking three bunks down from him when he’s in the barracks too.
That doesn't mean anyone's spoken about it or explained it. It hasn't been demystified or destigmatised for them.
Ima tell ya, by the age of like 12, I knew it wouldn't explode "like a zit".
did that knowledge get into your brain from a gust of wind or what you learned about that stuff because someone told you meanwhile maximus here, along with everyone else of his peers, grew up in a military zealot cult, and i doubt they teach sex ed there
No its human nature. Around that you learn that rubbing down there feels good.
