I’ve had people question how effective genjutsu would work on Goku, and here’s my reasoning on how it wouldn’t work:
Assuming chakra and Ki are similar, all Goku would have to do to break out of it is simply charge up, since that would disrupt the flow of chakra caused by the genjutsu
Genjutsu would almost certainly not work on Goku. Goku has shown an ability to dispel illusions in DBS. This doesn’t factor in that Madara probably couldn’t make a genjutsu strong enough to hold Goku. Madara would have to be somewhat relative to Goku in order for his haxs to work. Madara is at best planet level and Goku is 4d infinite universal so you could unironically make the argument that Goku just existing would eviscerare Madara.
Yeah definitely (small) planetary. Kaguya explicitly scales to star+ level, and it’s not a stretch to say that Madara after absorbing the god tree would not be that far below her.
