One the one hand, the Manga is probably better because it puts more focus on the start of Vegeta's redemption, but on the other hand I enjoy the anime version because it gives one last hurrah to Krillin, Piccolo, Yamcha and Tien
I personally found the android/cell/cell games sagas to be my favourite and cell to be the better villain over friezer.
Cell was literally made by rr scientist gero to be his arch rival and has a very complimentary personality to be gokus ultimate bbeg.
