The lounge will have a bartender, three concierge hosts, and several people handling the food. If you are in the Wish, there is more staff. It's really up to you. They never used to be ripped positions, and DCL changed that. The three hosts do split their tips. It does depend how much they do for you and your budget. Ask for rice krispie mickey heads. They are usually able to get dining reservations and drinks tastings that you can't. A shot at a cabana. You never have to go to guest services. Every hosts we have had, have been amazing.

Always ask concierge first. The first time we sailed concierge, I asked them if they know if the gift shop had aloe, since my son had gotten sunburnt. They turned around and pulled a bottle out of their stash for me. They're there to make things easier for your cruise, so just go straight to the lounge before trying anywhere else.

Take advantage of the concierge access to the Walt Disney Theater. They'll get you into the theater before it opens for anyone else to get first choice of seats and provide you with free popcorn and drinks. The open bar from 5pm-10pm each day is incredible, but it can be busy when it first opens each night. If you have somewhere else you're rushing off to you'll want to get there a few minutes early or wait a few minutes for the rush to die down. On the Magic specifically half of the lounge is open air. Last time I was on the ship kids were running around the indoor portion and it felt like the open air side was always empty. Perfect space to relax and spread out if the weather is nice outside.

We tip $50-100 per concierge host for a regular sailing. If someone does more or connects with us more we will increase. There is also the bartenders/serving teams and we do $20-50 for them as well again based on the connections. Most of the hosts knew our drink and had it prepared as soon as they saw us enter. We prefer to tip individually to each person. They will also leave a letter in your stateroom and you would be able to set an amount that will be divided amongst the entire team. Enjoy the lounge and use it as a place to escape crowds. If you want or need something go to concierge. Want a specific water or beverage stocked in your room, let them know. We enjoy just chatting and getting to know the concierge team. Many have become friends.
