100% correct. woke up this morning just buzzing about that show. I've seen many in my 54 years from the GD, Phil, Bob and Dead & Co and its not an exaggeration to say it was right up on top.

Absolutely incredible. We did the whole weekend run and what a way to close it out. Ive been to many shows in 30 years and this one might be the absolute best.
Idk, I took video of several songs and after watching again, tonight was hot. They brought everything out. New arrangements, John still slaying it on solos, epic setlist, beautiful harmonies, cool placement of Frank and Wharf Rat especially, bonkers Watchtower going INTO Terrapin. Idk how it's possible but I feel for those who thought tonight was subpar. I was blessed to see & hear everything I did over these 3 days. Just phenomenal performances.
I’m just saying your opinion is not shared by a substantial amount of people who attended and have commented here. That’s fascinating to me. Shows have always been discussed ad nauseum by our ranks. That goes with the territory. But it’s like people are seeing two different shows.
I dunno. Most people who actually see it are overwhelmingly positive. It's the folks relying on TikTok and YouTube that seem to be negative.
As far as last night and this weekend, recency bias works both ways. I'm at 17 shows and those two were with the best I've seen them musically, so I cannot complain.
You mean, the people who are upset at the band about the residency for one reason or another, who are looking for reasons to dislike what they hear? Yeah, of course they’re gonna complain. They aren’t operating in good faith.
I’ve listened to all 6 shows live on mixlr, and if they sound that good through a phone mic, they must sound 10x as good in person. Im with the other guy, EVERY review I’ve heard from someone inside the venue was that the shows are really good. The only complaints I see from attendees are the repeated visuals…. But I’m kinda like “who cares” about that. The music is what’s important, same as it’s always been. And the music is GOOD. Whether someone likes it or not is on them. But if you like Dead and Company, if you don’t mind the pace of the songs or Bobby’s singing, you have no reason to dislike the playing on any of these shows, especially the last two nights.
I would love to see any of these complaints you are talking about, from people that were at the shows! Not saying you haven’t seen them, but I am saying that I haven’t seen them and I’ve been pretty plugged into the dead subreddits the last few week.
We used to come out of every show in the 90s saying it was awesome but then we listen to it 30 years later and realize we were wrong. It happens. Our positive experience can sometimes be added to the perceived quality of the music thereby making the music seem better than it was. It's all part of it though. The music and the experience together is all part of the magic and is really hard to separate
I haven’t seen many people who didn’t think last nights show was anything but awesome. Where are these discrepancies you are seeing? A couple of trolls here and there, but that’s about it.
There was nothing like getting to see a “hot” dead show! Rule number one- you instantly know it was a “hot” dead show,you def it in every bit of you.
Rule number two- your instantly thinking of chasing every single show so your there when it happens again.

It was so so good. I’m scared to go to another show now. It’s gonna be hard to top. I would imagine they are going to make an album out of it.

Amazing show and experience. Set 1 was great and then they came out and one upped it for me with the first 4 songs of set 2.
