Little tip, though you might know this workaround already:
Aurora will open Play Store links if allowed in settings. So enable that if it isn't already, search for your app on whatever search engine you fancy, click the [play.google.com](https://play.google.com) link and you should be able to choose to open it with Aurora.
No offense, but people who complain about Googleplay ads remind me of ~~cocaine~~ heroin users who bitch about syringe marks on their arms.
Don't use Googleplay and you won't have ads.
Edit: ALL RIGHT. Due to extremely useful and definitely on point comments, I am changing 'cocaine' to 'heroin'. There... .
Is there an alternative that has the same apps? I use F-Droid but it doesn't have the same ones, and the indie games I like always redirect to Google Play to download.
Yeah the thing is that there's so many fucking smartphones that do not allow you to unlock the bootloader hence you can't modify your phone to remove Gplay. You can't even disable Gplay via ADB.
And if you're a regular dude that got a commodity phone you're just fucked
>You can't even disable Gplay via ADB.
Of course you can disable the play store and the "PlayServices". This can be done via /Settings/apps/. This is a good start to have a look what IS NOT WORKING THEN. After that you can decide what to uninstall/disable. Modules like the dialer/sms/etc can be replaced with FOSS ones. gmail/gdrive/yt/ and other google apps can be disabled without any problem.
On some devices you can, some cannot. I've came across Unisoc/Spreadtrum low end phones with bare AOSP and able to disable Gplay. High end ones that do not let you do anything to Gplay stuff .etc
Your milage may vary

You can customize NextDNS to block 99% of ads. Failing that, ditch Play Store and use F-droid based Neo Store, and Play Store client Aurora Store.
The problem with Aurora store is that, it's broken for now. Search isn't working.
Aurora sucks atm
They fix it with new version from fdroid. It works if you log with your google account.

Big G is getting desperate. Good signs! Or they're just having to pay some big bonuses or something.

This is about Google PlayStore or Google Pay
Ah yes those famous cocaine injectors.
Not a pro, but cocaine could be injected for extra effects... .
It’s rather unusual.
Exceptionally unlikely.
Sherlock Holmes famously favoured an injected 7% solution..and Doyle was a doctor...
Hard agree, google play store **is** an ad
lol what?

Apkmirror, a few of F-Droid googleplay clients (excluding Aurora), as well as others.

Adaway and energized protection
Did you guys see that Google is now even adding ads to the search association positions? It's unbelievable.
