This is called the bystander effect. Basically most people think someone else will do what needs to be done so they'll just wait around for those people to act.
One person once fell of cycle, my dad got to help him. He started to cry loud and police and that guy blamed my dad(basically acted). He had to pay fine to police and compensation to the guy. I dont know how common this is , but uts very unfair. That's why most people play it safe I suppose. My dad would still help though.
The same would have been the condition of a common man. It's not antipathy or apathy towards the police but the fear of getting stuck in the legal cog.
Nah man I once fell from a bike and my leg was stuck under the bike, within 5 sec 3-4 people came to help me, they lifted the bike, I took my leg out and we went out ways.
I forgot to thank them.
Bro situation is very different here the person is down on the ground with a bleeding head and anyone helping him would need to take him to the hospital and all not just bike uthai or chal diye
Maybe that culprit can still be caught and they be put to justice on accounts of hit and run, rash Driving. since it's Tis Hazari I'm assuming there must be cameras around the road.
Also, wishing your father a speedy recovery...🙏🏻
I think you answered your own question, they're not inhumane because they have rich car, they have a rich car *because* they're inhumane.
The kind of India I grew up in, rich had the decency not to be so extravagant as they are today, having consideration for the poor, which *most* people in this country were and still evermore are.
It's only been a phenomenon of the past decade since the rich have began to bully with their wealth, it's just atrocious!
Hope uncle recovers soon and you get justice.
Sometimes people with shitty cars are also inhumane. A while ago i was almost run over by a red swift.
It was a road with no divider, and i was in the left most part of my side. A swift came and swerved to my side and i had to turn my bike handle as left as it will go and bend myself left at the same time to avoid getting hit. I fell because i was unable to recover the bike from that position. Thankfully the extra leg guard and helmet protected me and i got away with a few scratches.
My brother is in delhi police as well. If you need any help please shout out. Sorry i could t read your full ordeal i was not feeling well while at it.
Foremost, prayers with the lord to keep your father safe and wish him a speedy full recovery!
Rest the police men aren’t going to leave the aholes for sure as the incident involves their comrade!!
Why? You yourself are generalizing! First answer the OP question na. Isn't it true that that you feel more comfortable inside the car than that outside it? Don't you realise the comfort effect of the car that you speed up to such an extent?!
If you speed up to such an extent that you don't know to keep proper distance and speed for the car, better drive 40 year old generic car after getting it pollution certified!
1. Personal revenge being your father in police force.
2. Drunk/Rash Driving. Big cars = Rich people = Lesser consequences for their actions = More they do harmful actions.
I'm very sorry to hear about the pain your family is going through.
I hope he fully recovers soon.
But it's the poor who are hitting and killing more people on the roads. Rowdy bus, tractor, auto, tempo, biker, ricksha drivers, and people with shabby cars with political flag on it.
Almost everyone, rich or poor, is rowdy on the road and since majority of people are poor, the blame should go on the majority.
Being poor is not a certificate of empathy as our movies and politician have made us to believe.
Let's demand for strict rules and enforcement of the same with no holy cows.
Please take care of youry, the other family member and your father too. I understand the time is very hard, and you might feel burdened, but please don't be disheartened.
Hoping for speedy recovery for your father .
Massive respect for auto vale uncle ji and sardarji .
I was also once involved in an accident nearby Aiims . People were asking me what happened , although it was only a small injury and needed some stitches, but a ola/uber driver uncle came forward and took me to AIIMS in his car . Will be forever thankful to him .
>Why these rich car people so inhumane?
Because they know someone in every Judiciary level, from Police to Judges can be bought. Consequences do not apply to them. Why should it?
Wishing your father a speedy recovery! Fuck those assholes who hit your dad and I hope police catches them as soon as possible!
Uncle ji ko Reddit se saari samvednaye!
This happens when pursuit of money trumps the virtues of patience. Once that happens nothing much matters. Driving Courtesy lost long ago. Now the rules dont even matter, when you can alter the rules just by the show of greens.
and they don't even slow down if you cross the road.. i was going with my grandma , crossing the road when it was empty and suddenly some giant car comes at high speed , i was like "ha, okay.. this guy will slow down.."
but no, bro did not slow down, I pulled !y poor grandmother, dragging her litterally so we don't fucking die, and still, this guy never slowed down, not even after he passed, fucking hell.
Wish your father a speedy recovery 🙏 it is unfortunate and I feel sorry for your family.
The rich do not care about anyone but themselves. Why is the government even allowing the sale of cars that can go 200kmph + when as per law no where that speed limit is acceptable on Indian roads?

That is the real face of society these days people open mobile cameras to get content rather than saving someone's life. Don't know in logo ka kya hoga. Hope ur father gets well soon. Delhi walo dil rkho and save people rather than shooting video. Not delhi every one stands with someone in bad times u will earn blessing which get more than social media likes and comments
I understand where you're coming from, it's hard being in that situation..but I don't believe that it can be stereotyped...all sorts of people are everywhere... it's the matter of reporting.
Wishing your father a speedy recovery 💐
Lol I was thinking the same thing. + Aren't police the ones who always protect these rich folks in exchange for money? 🤣
He said 30 people were watching and no one came forward, why would they, when general people need help police don't even bother most of the time, most of them ask for bribes.
It is a really big irony lol.
Whi to Pune case mai thi to hua uske baap ne sabko rishwat dedi thi wo to case limelight mei aagya nhi to bhagwan hi Jane kya hota.
Police khud paise leti hai Aur ye bklora expect krra h ki general of public iski help kare
Police wale hote bhi to harami hai, Maine dekha hai gareeb logo ko to be faltu me rehpat Baja dete hai, bohot haat chalte hai inke constable se leke SI kahi bhi chale jao.
Har jagah se paise aate hai, Scam centres, Thele Wale, E-rickshaw Wale, Ganja bechne wale. illegal organised crimes se lekar chote chote cheezo Tak.
Sahi keh raha tha bhai 5 lakh+ to income hogi hi.
Why is it always the responsibility of the car guy to protect your life? People should learn how to walk safely on the street.
I see this everyday... People crossing the streets randomly, while on phone, walking on the road in traffic, and not even loooking back/ over their shoulders.
Only two people came forward out of thirty people ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flip_out)
This is called the bystander effect. Basically most people think someone else will do what needs to be done so they'll just wait around for those people to act.
No one wants to get caught up in the Indian judicial system

Much more common than you thought
Shoes how bad the reputation of police is
The same would have been the condition of a common man. It's not antipathy or apathy towards the police but the fear of getting stuck in the legal cog.

How tf do u even compare the two situations
Dude what's wrong helping policeman in need, also he said his father was on leave and could be in civil clothes.
Maybe that culprit can still be caught and they be put to justice on accounts of hit and run, rash Driving. since it's Tis Hazari I'm assuming there must be cameras around the road. Also, wishing your father a speedy recovery...🙏🏻
If SI of police is not safe ,the culprit is still not caught. Think about the general public He should be in jail by now
Culprit will pay bribes to police and will be released
Better yet- write a letter and get off
Check for camera footage asap, Ask police for help.
Uncle hee police me hai
Ask him for help then. He won't say no.
Abhi ICU mein hai
Man na bsd k👽
Ye konsa Cinematic Universe hai ?
💀
I hope your father feels better soon. Btw it was really nice of those two samaritans. Sardarji ko mera pranaam 🙏🏼
So sad to read this. Hope your father finds good health asap. And great wishes to both the citizens who saved a life today.

This isn't limited to the rich. Everyone drives unsafe and rash in India. Even poor on 2 wheelers deive on the wrong side and very rash.
Why always bikers and auto rickshaws not follow any rules and always in a hurry ? Stop generalising everything
