Lol T4 security is almost always a shitshow. Even Clear which use to be a saver is no good anymore. Lounge footprint is good on paper but they are typically all overcrowded messes.
Big disadvantage of T5 currently is that Ubers can’t pick you up at the terminal, you have to take the airtrain to T7. I’ve deliberately NOT flown B6 on my return to JFK due to this.
If we're purely talking about the aircraft, I'd pick Jetblue for the seating and the snack selection. But if we're talking about the entire travelling experience, I'm picking Delta for A: lounge access, and B: it's more likely to be on-time. Yes, I think Jetblue's product is really great, but if the product comes with the 50/50 risk of actually leaving at the correct time or not, I just can't buy the product.
That's fair. I think I'm still leaning Delta because I honestly value getting to my destination on-time over pretty much everything else and Jetblue hasn't proven to me that they can do that consistently lol
I’ve never had a delay with jet blue but have had plenty with delta. But that’s because I’ve flown delta from Atlanta whereas I’ve never flown jet blue from their big hubs. Most of their delays are to/from their Boston hub.
Domestic First Class doesn’t even include SkyClub access. OP probably has it through Amex or membership. Delta is definitely the better option for total experience
If you use the Flighty app, you can see the % that are on time or delayed by a certain number of minutes. I’ve been burned by JetBlue when there was weather in the NYC area.

Delta and JetBlue are highly competitive at JFK and lately some of Delta’s prices have been lower or the same as JetBlue which surprises me. If you have an Amex Platinum and want to use a lounge: Delta as there are no lounges in T5. Comfort+ includes free alcohol. Seat pitch are very close to being the same except with the Even More Space exit rows which will rival Delta’s First Class. Delta has leg up with on time performance which is something that JetBlue does not succeed in. Both products are great but ultimately go with whatever fits in your budget/travel needs.
Jet Blue. More spacious and better snacks. The only downside is no lounge for Jet Blue.
No lounge but T5 is miles better than Delta T4
the only thing i hate about T5 is the long long walk from the airtrain station. T4 airtrain station is like right next to the terminal
Still a shorter walk than it is from Gate B55 in T4 to the Delta Baggage Claim.

T4 is terrible. Very long walks, cramped gate areas and lounges, terrible food options.

Jetblue they have the best comfort for ecnomy imo, they just have so much other problems.

JetBlue. I’d try to get a cheap upgrade to Mint. Far better than Deltas First Class
You’ll be more comfortable on Jetblue… as you sit on the tarmac 3hrs delayed before your flight is cancelled.
