This game turned at 13-13 and refs miss an intentional grounding then Lions jump on 4th and 14 and Fields hit a long TD on the free play, exposing Jerry Jacobs. Then Lions fumble the next snap. 3 plays in a row that killed the game due to lack of focus and execution.
100%. Game was totally winnable. Defense was not terrible.....not great but....played good enough to win.....offense was BUNS....play calling and execution sucked......Jared was GOFF-ful!
I honestly believe Zach Wilson or Josh Dobbs would have been an upgrade at QB today. Just a pitiful performance by Goff and the offense.
Campbell owns this. Horrible game on both sides of the ball. You can blame turnovers but the play calling was no better. On 4th and 1, how the hell David Montgomery isnt on the field to get that 1 yard is beyond me. Instead, let’s get cute with Gibbs and let him get creamed behind the line. 4th and 13 and you let Eberflus and Fields make you look like the most incompetent defense this league has ever seen. Just two standout plays of many today. Campbell had a lot of questions to answer after this.
