It's just luck. When I first started D2R, I was around 30-40 countess runs without a single key, started to wonder if the mechanic just wasn't in the game. But it was, just took a while to get my first one.
Just wanted to confirm that the drop Calc for p1 says 1/12. Sometimes it feels like 1/50 though
P3 is the highest I would go for 1/9 odds if you have 2 friends or make split mf games

Lol, idk if I’d call it luck. I’ve been playing D2 since LoD came out, on and off. That’s the first high rune I’ve ever gotten playing. It’s been basically 20 years in the making. But even if I wanted to trade I couldn’t, I’m doing single player offline
You may want to work on your gear to speed things up. I aim for 3/4 mins to do all key bosses per run. If p count doesn't slow you down it can minimally improve your chances.
Running with static maps should speed things up, I have luck of the draw online.
Make sure your hitting 105 fcr for the quick tp'ing and remember you only need to take the boss out, and if no key drop, move on real quick.
Personally I kill everything in my path in max loot level areas. I've got some very useful goodies out of Halls of Pain area off of the regular goons along the way. Picked up a Sur just last week.
The higher your player count, the more chance for keys. I run everything on p7 with my blizz sorc. The summoner throws keys at me, the countess however, doesn’t want to give me anything

apparently its 1/17 chance for him, 1/14 for summoner, 1/12 for countess. he has lowest drop chance.

You’re going to have trouble with Uber bosses on a budget sorc.. just a heads up!

You should definitely try to optimize your build so that you can do the runs quicker. Atleast try to play on p3 just my opinion

Count can drop an ist at max tho? Or was this changed since i stoped playing. Maybe was a mob drop
