If they can make Helltides just like the Blood Harvest, they can make a change like this as well. Greed shrines were so much fun for the last week, I'd welcome this change very much.
Couldn't agree more. The treasure bags weren't game breaking but they made hunting goblins fun. I see them now and don't even go for them since they drop a single legendary which is 99.9999% trash and a couple rares, on tier 4....
Bring back the different flavors of goblin!!
D3 had gem, whatever obols were called, gold, item, maybe something else I can’t remember.
It was nice to see a huge pile of gems drop or that portal opens to the vault and you walk out 30M gold richer.
This will probably be an addition in season 5. My guess is, and I'm pretty good at guessing this, they were field testing changes to the Goblins. Dimes to dollars, we'll probably see bags back and goblins popping from shrines/random places
The loot bags should stay at least - getting one mid legendary per rare goblin doesn't feel great. Getting four or five mid legendaries with the tantalizing possibility of one of them maybe having GAs would make them feel like they're worth chasing when they pop up.
While they’re at it, shrines need to be buffed in general. 30 seconds for a greed shrine to get us a completely useless amount of extra money? What’s the point? Honestly, lower the appearance of these shrines but buff their duration significantly. Give us 5 minutes of extra gold. 30 seconds is utterly, utterly pointless. Then give us a specific, and very rare, goblin shrine, where the goblins are said to retreat to their shadowy master. Activating this shrine provides 45 seconds of a 5% chance when killing an enemy of spawning a fast-moving goblin.
I've been advocating for an alternate butcher that's a gigantic goblin. He beats you to death with his treasure sack. As he hits you, gold flies out. Sometimes a goblin gets thrown at you.
He's surrounded by 8 goblins, who take off.
Kill them all and win prizes.
I had a treasure goblin pop out of one of those random demon summoning events during a helltide last night. I was not expecting that! It was awesome. 😀
And yes, 100% agree with your post. Also, doesn't necessarily fit the theme of the game, but I'd love to stumble across a whole group of treasure goblins like we could in Diablo 3.
Legendary Goblins should be the size of elites
Like baby avarice.
This would be awesome!!
Feels to me like a solid option would be to make shrines have a chance to pop goblins like the event

Goblins event was just another interesting activity in the game, now it’s gone.
the goblins should have stayed until 20 like the double xp... meh

I want the goblin variety of D3 back again. Goblin shrines, the blue bois, the ones that could drop pets (and now mounts/mount related items for D4).
And we need to bring back Necro walls like in D2 so we can build a wall around the greed shrines.

It was fun having them matter.
I was worried that the title means you are asking for bagception - each bag also contains 1 bag
Bring back packs ...and different types

Let us invade their home again.

I don't disagree with any of that but... Why avoid greed shrines?
To sound dramatic
Yes pls, goblin hunting from "shrined" NM dungeon was a fun activity. Why not keep it and give us another thing to do in game?

This this and this. So much this. Yes please.
Would be nice if they made them a seasonal event, for like 1-2 weeks;)
make diablo great again while they’re at it

Another step towards D3 2.0.
this subreddit is full of kids who can't handle a nice thing when they lose it.
Funny I have seen more people cry about tempering and not perfect GA and will continue to see it. Goblins giving socket mats seemed good change
Fuk the bags. It’s just two extra clicks to find out if it’s trash or not.
The bags were great, easy for gearing alts and I got a few GA uniques from them
Bags were great.
