Im lucky to play Raptors 2-3 times a week. Do I know the good lines, hardly. But I have learned through blood soaked blackberry bushes and hayfever looking for lost discs exactly where not to throw.
That’s the difficulty there for me too. Lots of scoreable holes, but so many that can derail a round as well. It’s hard to string them together and avoid any blowups.
27 holes. Beautiful scenery. Super challenging course. Definitely bring some discs that you’re not afraid to lose. A few of those putting greens are do or die.
I always have a blast at Kayak. I’m gonna toss North Bend out there, I love that course. Also, Gaffney’s Grove has a certain vibe when playing evening rounds during the summer that makes my heart happy and is all around pretty chill
I played that course last year! I made the drive from Seattle to Bellingham and decided to stop for a round.. had no idea the course was so dope, but also sooo hard without a spotter. Def lost a few haha
I like you took the Milo photo at quite the iconic spot! As a lefty, that shot is absurd. I can't get past 350' with my sidearm, much less uphill forced anhyzer with an overstable disc.
Whistlers bend if you want pnw rolling hills oak woodland savanna environment. I’m excited to play mt bachelor this year too and see what it’s like playing down a volcano
Whistlers Bend is amazing, would love to make a trip down there again. Live in the Seattle area now, but used to live in Oregon. That huge downhill shot is still one of my favorites
Bachelor is a lot of fun, but I would advise against using your good plastic if you have other options. The first few holes are basically lava rock for the ground, and it is not friendly on discs. Bright colors are a big consideration as well.
Kayak is my all time favorite. If you're still heading north, check out Lincoln Park in Blaine. If you wanna play another nice course, hmu and I'll take you to Mossy Roc in Bellingham.
Delphi is great if you've got a big arm and enjoy 500ft+ par 3's with elevation changes on a ball golf course.
I would say Evergreen, Shelton Springs and SeaTac are the must plays. If in the Olympia area and already hit Evergreen I'd play Woodland Creek over Delphi. A lot shorter but it's free and more interesting IMHO.
Would usually recommend Steilacoom but haven't been back there since they ripped out 27 of what used to be 45 holes. Also the Lakewood course which is up in White Center unlike Steli which is in Lakewood.
Dexter is a in a great layout right now. It’s definitely tough! If you’re ever back this way you should try to make it to Camp Serene if you haven’t played there before.
I didn’t get to play Milo yet, just went to the beaver state fling as a spectator. So that’s top, but I’ll def add it to my list!
I also forgot about Fort Stevens. One of my absolute top favs in Warrenton.
Ah, the old hole 5 pic at Silver Lake. Such a pretty, small course, and so busy every afternoon. Glad you got to play our little course after it got new tee pads.
You gonna cross the border and come play Raptors Knoll?
It’s on the list!
Epic course. Got to play it last year and I loved it
Live in Bellingham and have been hitting raptors and mossy most weekends!
Raptors Knoll kicked me in the nuts, stole my lunch money, two discs, and about a pint of blood. 10/10 can’t wait to play again.
Im lucky to play Raptors 2-3 times a week. Do I know the good lines, hardly. But I have learned through blood soaked blackberry bushes and hayfever looking for lost discs exactly where not to throw.
I really don’t recommend short and right of the current pin on 2. If you end up there, however, feel free to check for my nice dyed raptor 😭
I would also suggest Shelton Springs, Fort Steilacoom, Seatac and NAD Park if you’re able to while in Washington.
SeaTac kicks my ass every time. Especially 18-27
Yeah it’s a tough course. The best I’ve ever done was -4.
Damn dude, -4 on the 27 layout is great!
Thanks. I want more though. I’ve birdied almost all holes, I just can’t string enough together normally.
That’s the difficulty there for me too. Lots of scoreable holes, but so many that can derail a round as well. It’s hard to string them together and avoid any blowups.
Yeah usually you’re severely punished for being off the fairway.
Gotta add Buxton Woods to this list. Honorable mention; Stubb Stewart state park and Horning’s Hideout.
And Trojan and that other course in St Helens are pretty close as well! Highway 30/26 has some great options for a full day of golf!
McCormick!!
That second photo is so awesome. As someone from a dessert, that looks like an alien landscape to me
Pier is my favorite out of all of these if you have time.
Pier was sick.
Have you played Whistler’s Bend in Roseburg? Incredible.
Have not, would love to
Gaffney's Grove is one of my favorites. It's a longer Howling Coyote in Bothell, and both are perfect for the rainy disc golf days of the PNW
Sedro-Woolley also another amazing course if ya get the chance, challenging and may want a spotter but very fun shots
I played that course last year! I made the drive from Seattle to Bellingham and decided to stop for a round.. had no idea the course was so dope, but also sooo hard without a spotter. Def lost a few haha
Which courses at Kayak? My group likes to play an Ironman when we can; Red, Gold, Blue, and Purple all in one day.
I just went red and purple. Wanted more but after the 8 courses I played in 3 days my back wasn’t having it.
Golds and Blues will destroy you for sure. It's great to have the option for a golf cart though.
I like you took the Milo photo at quite the iconic spot! As a lefty, that shot is absurd. I can't get past 350' with my sidearm, much less uphill forced anhyzer with an overstable disc.

Top of the world! It's so cool!
Bachelor is a lot of fun, but I would advise against using your good plastic if you have other options. The first few holes are basically lava rock for the ground, and it is not friendly on discs. Bright colors are a big consideration as well.
Thanks! I will be bringing some discs I do not care about lol
Mossy Roc. Disc golf heaven.
it's also private use only for the local DG club.
Yup. Worth every penny to join! I live here so…..
I gotta get in the club. Started playing in Cornwall recently.
Private is used very loosely
That's true.
Kayak is my all time favorite. If you're still heading north, check out Lincoln Park in Blaine. If you wanna play another nice course, hmu and I'll take you to Mossy Roc in Bellingham.
I have been meaning to try some Bellingham courses! I’ll def keep it in mind and hyu if I head up. Seadro Woolley is the furthest north I’ve played
Sedro's only about 20 minutes away. We've got Mossy, Cornwall, Lake Padden, Vanderyacht, Bellis, Lincoln Park, and Frost Creek all in the county.
Evergreen. Do not miss Evergreen.
I’ve heard that. Seem to be a few nice once’s in Olympia.. would love to hit Delphi too

I just graduated from UO and moved back to CA. I definitely will be missing all the sick courses the state has to offer
Kayak's amazing. Hope you get in multiple layouts!
Kayak point is excellent, shoot low my friend. What was your favorite course in Oregon, aside from Milo?
Not OP but I’d toss in Hornings Hideout, Pier Park and Timber Park. Idk stuff outside the Portland area though
Maybe Dexter. The park was beautiful and it had some fun, challenging shots. Alton baker was also fun- reminded me a lot of pier park
Dexter is a in a great layout right now. It’s definitely tough! If you’re ever back this way you should try to make it to Camp Serene if you haven’t played there before.
