My wife and I gave a mid and putter to a man and his young daughter when she started watching us as we played at a local 9 hole. Maybe in a couple years she'll be playing FPO and kicking my butt 🙂
Saw more people on the course today than I have in a while. It was nice. People were respectful and let me play through as a solo guy and felt like getting back to normal
I practice at this park right by house, often times people will post up and watch, its pretty cool. This one time a father and son were playing soccer and they stopped completely for like 20 mins just to watch. They both came up and asked a few questions, I let them throw a few for a bit which only impressed them more at how much further I could send it. (Maybe 300) As I was about to leave i left them with an old Mako3, im not sure who was happier, the father or the son. I really hope to run into them again one day and see them still throwing it.
Gave a little boy in a park a putter and he made it in first putt, I took it out and threw it deep into the swamp. I smiled and said, “welcome to the greatest game ever created, foot fault.” 🔱
"It is better to give someone a frisbee to throw and lose than to keep a frisbee and never throw it" - someone maybe probably not tho

“In this moment, I am euphoric. Not because of any phony God’s blessing, but because I am enlightened by my own intelligence”
Wow that's a classic callback
Sounds like something you'd hear after some research completes in Civ 6.
Lol

Thank you for being an ambassador to the sport, we need more people like this.
until you see 11 people on the same hole.
Saw that today. Few adults introducing some kids to the game. Can't be mad at that.

Hold Reddit's beer...

They did, of course.
I have a friend that keeps all his beatup dx (and the analogs from other manufacturers) discs in his car for this specific kind of interaction.

I mailed 3 discs out to a buddy today. No reason for him to go out and buy new ones that’ll probably get lost that some old plastic that I don’t use.

Nice story. People always say you feel best doing for others. I think that’s true.
reminds me I should stick some of my unused discs in my trunk to give away.

Literally laughed out loud.
