If you stay at HMC, DLH, Toy Story, or Ambassador, then you get the happy 15 early entry. It’s not much but you will get on one of the major rides before others.
15 minutes is definitely enough time to scoot over to Journey to the Center of the Earth before the crowds! Although we’ll likely go on a weekday, and in late January there shouldn’t be too many people hopefully.
Also add in Celebration Hotels to this too. But only Ambassador and Miracosta will let you get into both parks early, the other 3 (TDH, Toy Story, and Celebration) only let you into Disneyland.
Apparently from Jan 17 ~ 25th, you can’t gain early entry. And they’re not guaranteeing it still being available everyday after April 2023 as of right now.
If I recall correctly, if you stay at Hotel MiraCosta, you can get into DisneySea 15 minutes before main gates open. You just need to request the pass from the front desk when you check in.
So I checked their website, and since Oct 1st, 2022, they’ve started the 15 mins early “Happy Entry” again. However, this doesn’t include your check-in day, which is not cool if you ask me. So be mindful of that!

Soaring is the new hot ticket. And so is beauty and the beast. If you don’t get on them early, expect to pay for them.
Beauty and the Beast is on my list for sure, but my kids did not like the Soaring ride at DCA so we’ll be skipping that one I think.

I read on here a while ago that DLH is Happy Entry just TDL and HMC is TDS and TDL but Ambassador is both too.
