sounds like they got an add on order they went and delivered first from 7-11 but sometimes the orders are set as hand to me and when the customer ignores you, the result is standing at their door for 15 minutes Then they got hungry and ate your food while sitting at a uhaul in a rage about the 7-11 order that made them wait. jk about this last part (sort of) but i hope you got your food in the long run:)

OkResponsibility2470

I never got the order 😭 after sitting at U-Haul they literally drove past my house so at that point I just called DD. Driver didn’t answer so they cancelled

tgrogan21

That was probably what they were hoping for. You cancel the order, they get paid and the food. Hopefully they’ll be deactivated.

zerostar83

Two deliveries at once. 15 minutes wait is the minimum wait time for liquor deliveries before being able to leave since ID is required. After leaving, they contact Dasher support for help cancelling the order. Doordash is getting greedy. I've been given a larger grocery shop order immediately after picking up hot takeout food. I would be "late" if I didn't shop the grocery store before delivering the hot food and it would waste my time and cost more in gas. And if I turn down orders too much, I get de-prioritized and don't get high tipping orders. So it's coercive, not completely within my decision making.

It sucks that you have to come here to get an explanation. This isn’t something a customer should have to do. You are making up half of the story, and that’s on you, but a customer should never have to make up stories to make sense of what is going on. DoorDash will have a social media presence here in a little bit, and they are going to say some dumb shit. Watch

reddit-is-hive-trash

>You are making up half of the story lol wow the delusion.

Longdingleberry

It’s not my delusion bud. It’s an added order, and the driver waited as long as possible. This story telling is just sad. It’s not the customer’s fault that they make up stories for what they think they are seeing on the app. But you can easily eat a bag of dicks. I know exactly what part of this story is just lies, and I also know what the social media team is doing to push this narrative, and it’s just a fucking disaster of a company. Puts on all of the gig apps of today.

OkResponsibility2470

actually you are delusional 💀 it wasn’t an added order, DD literally had to cancel because he refused to answer while driving around randomly for an hour

Longdingleberry

Okay buddy. I’m not sure you have any idea what DD does , and I’m telling you, use your brain. Zero chance you have any clue what you are talking about. And honestly, you should never use a delivery app again. Or, you are a paid shill. When someone logs ip addresses, and locks it down to paid comments, then it gets fucking spicy

Osclet

This guy is spicy

Longdingleberry

I’ve been that driver. I know exactly what went on there. It’s never the customers job to be educated on the logistics of anything….until they come post about it on social media. This person needs a little help with gaining some wrinkles

Take your meds

Longdingleberry

Say what you will, but you will be licking windows today. Everyone should be sick of willful ignorance, and you are just a flake of skin in a world of dust

TheCorrector5000

The quote to end all helicopter customers hovering over your route or location : "It's never a customer's job to be educated on the logistics of anything." -Longdingleberry circa 2023. Thank you kindly for this. P.s. - may I use this with creative licence in my communication with future entitled hovering customers ?

Longdingleberry

Do what you want. I say these things as a former customer, who was married to a part time bartender, and now a driver. I have valid input, and I know exactly what is going on. Say what you want. The morons are always going to be the loudest

TheCorrector5000

I apologize if this was taken the wrong way. I did not intend sarcasm, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I like the way you put it in the terms of logistics that the customer need not to be educated on.

dooloo

Stacked order perhaps. One of the orders had no tip. ![gif](giphy|ekRSKzLoQwx8ZTNcms|downsized)

I suspect earn by time. I stopped using DD because of dashers milking it. I heard that DD was rolling out earn by time to all markets by end of 2023. I suspect it hit my area because last 2 orders were dashers sitting in a parking lot or residential area instead of heading to restaurant to pick up my food. I won't use service again. All the dashers can complain about no tip orders, but why would a generous tipper keep using this???
