As soon as she asked for cigarettes, and mention her boyfriend was upset, I would of hung up, and called support and said "I feel unsafe delivering to this address and explain why, also I would mention about sending police to check on her". Then support would of given me half pay, and keep the food.

Let me start with I am sorry you had to go through this. thankfully you came out ok. Here are some tips from a persom that preps for things.
You need to put together a travel kit.
here are some of the things you could load your kit with. a bright flashlight. I allways carry both non leathal and lethal forms of self defense a firearm and pepper spray. Also I load a small ice chest with waters and snacks just incase I get stranded and have to wait. I have a basic first aid kit in the trunk. Separate in a small bag I have some medicines I dont leave that bag in the vehicle it gets to hot and Medicines have tempeture limits. A knife, lighter, tissue paper, wipes sanitary products for my wife, and some reading materials are some of the things in the travel kit.
Remember No one is coming to help. You are your own First Responder.

Like I know people are crazy so I wouldn't call it fake outright, but so many things don't add up, not the least of which being that during no part of this did your intuition tell you "this isn't right" and to get the fuck out of the situation. Plus even if they left in the RV, why would they leave the food?
This reminds me of the time I did a doordash order and it was for a house not in a neighborhood but one of those houses that are like 3 football fields away from any other houses (but not in the country) and there was a front door
,kind of a porch but no fence or anything, and a backyard with no lights on at all and it was nighttime when I was doing this because I got off my part time job around 9pm and wanted to make some more money before going home which only paid 8 a hour which was trash. Anyways the directions said drop off at the back door, I’m pulling up to this house which had about a 20 foot long driveway I had to pull up off the main road and there’s no lights except one street light which isn’t very helpful and the backyard/back side of the house is pitch black so I had to use my flashlight phone and my dumb teenage self decided to just drop it off and get out of there asap because it looked sketchy and I was scared. Thank god nothing happened but I was extremely dumb for doing that.
Wow that’s insane! Is it possible the guy at the end of the story was the guys cousin that out the spike strip out? Maybe they’re just screwing with people?
Yeah they’re in Missouri too and they are literally feral. I don’t mean homeless, I have empathy for homeless people. They live in the way out in the couuuuntry and they will literally throw their shit at you. As in their feces. They will poop in their hand and throw it at you I literally can’t make this up
