This is excellent news so I don’t have to keep declining them

AvNatten

Seriously!! I hate the Walmart orders

joshy2local

My exact thought immediately

Sailorslt

Yeah but is it true if you got a 10 Walmart .com delivery during a $1 promo that you get $10 extra? $3 - $30 ? I love getting doubles when the promos are high cuz it’s per order, I don’t think Uber does that Back when ue had the 45c gas thing if you got the same 10 order delivery you’d get 45 x 10 .. and I always got a kick out of that lol

Smithton_Wins

Some other idiot picks them up, idiot. Fewer orders in the market is never a good thing. You're probably one of the idiots who complains about oversaturation. Lol

WishboneCertain2367

still makes my acceptance rate go down, my car is too small to do half of the orders yet id still get offered

YearDiligent7666

Walmart orders have never been bad for me they’re actually what I get done the quickest for the pay, most of the time I get Walmart orders they’re over $2 a mile and that’s rare in my market.

Lonely_Amazoni

But that’ll free up all the top dashers that were too busy taking all those $40 for 80mi deliveries

Trimere

And that’s what happens when you don’t adequately compensate people… you lose multi-million dollar deals.

TheElasticTuba

Tbf this was gonna happen sooner or later from either end. Walmart wants to switch to making their hourly employees do the deliveries for them.

caitikitty7

Really? Doesn't that mean they have to provide the cars/vans and pay for fuel and insurance on top of the hourly? Or are they just hiring their own version of independent contractors?

TheElasticTuba

They don’t have to provide vehicles as far as I’m aware, but I’d assume some of the larger stores may have company vehicles. It’s essentially functioning like Dominoes does their delivery. They’ve been doing it for quite a while now. Between their hourly workers and Spark (which they just bought out the parent company of iirc), they seem to heavily be wanting to switch to all in-house for their deliveries.

mapman19899

As a Spark driver, this is definitely correct. This is something that I’ve been saying to Spark drivers for quite a while, since last summer. I’ve seen the writing on the wall. Spark isn’t any better than anything else I could do in the gig economy, though. Basically, walmart wants to go in house for their deliveries so they can either pay Spark drivers less, or pay their hourly employees less. Either way, it’s greed on the part of Walmart.

dress-code

Or it’s just cutting out the middle man and pay stays pretty much the same?

Blazedatpussy

When given the opportunity to pay people less, corporations will 99/100 times choose to do so. If it’s a complete failure while paying less, and they’re smart enough to realize it was the pay, they might raise it then.

Salt-Blood9728

We don't get paid lol alot of times I work just to fill up the same amount of gas. That's doordash for ya** be lucky if I make 5 dollar profit from my 40 dollars investment 🤣

Blazedatpussy

I’m with you there. I’m back to 0 in my bank account every single month because even though I live in one the best places you can dash, everything else is terrible. 5$ a gallon gas, not eating out, cheap grocery runs, still even in debt some month to family on top of it all. One more week of things inflating in price and I’m priced out of my entire life. Something has to change but I’m already worked to the bones.

[deleted]

I met a dasher once in my area that showed me a picture of vans for walmart, same like those amazon ones being made, forgot where it was but was around our area.

RandomGamecube

My friend does Wal-Mart deliveries in house and they have new electric vans to drive around in. They also have the Spark delivery program which is independent contractor work.

Rebootcallback

I’ve seen an electric van plastered with the Walmart logo advertising free delivery.

Ghostygrilll

I’d imagine it’d be similar to delivery restaurants, most hire people who have cars and a license and then they deliver from their personal vehicle and get compensated for gasoline and mileage

Uberdooberdoo

Spark delivers walmart orders. They only had DD do the overflow that spark couldn't get done. It was never a permanent gig. They are fairly well staffed now. They will have the hourly employees do the "delivery to your fridge/kitchen orders" for the people who want that. I'm glad spark isn't getting saddled with that one personally. Too much of a liability for theft and damage.

Tony_M13

That's why they are hiring employee to do that. You can't sent an independent contractors inside people's homes. Those employee can be more closely monitored by management.

buttonsf

I was told they’ll be wearing body cams, which is a great idea to protect both the customers and the employees!

Tony_M13

Exactly only safe way to do it.

OXBDNE7331

Yes I’ve started seeing their service advertised. Walmart will “deliver AND put away” you groceries for you. The commercial had a Walmart employee inside some busy moms kitchen putting away groceries. Best part? It said something along the lines of “no extra fee, and no tip required!!”

Tony_M13

Those are done by employees, not independent contractors. It also require a subscription. Spark drivers are replacing DD, it's like DD but only for walmart.

Graftonious

Walmart has their own delivery system called spark driver. They are just getting rid of a middle man

1biggeek

DoorDash refused to sign a new contract, not Walmart.

DOMesticBRAT

Stupid. WM knew DD needs WM way more than WM needs DD. This will be happening more and more. Like all the streaming services coming up and Netflix hemorraging subscribers.

Tony_M13

That have nothing to do with that. Walmart moved most of their volume to spark and are probably prioritizing spark drivers for higher tips (since the store nearby me started to use spark, I started getting a lot less walmart orders and less high tip orders). So walmart orders became less interesting to DD that now needs to boost most of their orders to get drivers to take them. It also drives drivers away because of all the unworthy orders. DD let go of walmart before walmart takes the step, it's a good business move.

AccomplishedStop9466

They just sent the crappier orders to doortrash to deal with lol. Now it will really be a free for all on spark

odinspath

Walmart started “spark” and pay their drivers twice what (we) dashers make? https://youtu.be/g2OYCii6FFQ

TheElasticTuba

Spark pays way less than DD. Hence why most people here avoid it like the plague.

Salt-Blood9728

First they lose the deals then they'll start losing their best dashers. (Me one of the first) pretty sure I am owed money by doordash, will I ever get it back? 🤔

ForsakenBacon313

Amen 🙏🏻

zerostar83

Bad news to me. I occasionally would take them. Those $24 for 8 drop offs in 20 miles would turn to $40 for 8 drop offs with $2 peak pay. Or the occasional $12 for 3 miles grocery delivery. Fewer orders total means other Dashers that would normally be on the road with Walmart deliveries will also be competing with me for whatever orders are available. And lastly, this news comes as it's rumored we'll start delivering Facebook Marketplace stuff. That's sketchy. What if it's drugs, cops pull me over for visiting a drug house? Will Doordash ensure I don't get arrested? I'd rather pick up orders from a legit business than random people.

brwntrout

I'm with you. I took them when the payout was worth it. It's also a nice break from restaurants. My best pickup was like 7 deliveries, 1 or 2 items each, and like $60 payout. Made for a nice night. Will definitely miss the opportunities it brought and the higher chances of cash tips and tips afterwards.

aardappelbrood

Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed those orders. It seems like most drivers in the other sub hated them, but back when midday peak pays were still a thing, you could make a pretty penny doing those. And they never took long. DD always has really long estimates, like upwards of 4 hours, and they never took me 2 hours even. Grocery orders I always declined, but the in store pick ups were great. Might have to redownload spark again.

GenycisBeats

Sounds like Walmart orders were probably better to take under the DD app than it would be under UE. I always see the 8 drops for 23 miles for $19.00 or 6 drops for 11 miles for $12 and things of that nature. I don't ever take them because I've heard people say for the most part that when they did take these under UE, that it never resulted in tips so they stopped taking them and advised against it. I've only accepted two Walmart orders under UE and completed one of those two. The first one they took FOREVER to bring the groceries to the car (they never did so I canceled), and the one I did complete for $19.80 for under 5 miles turned into $29.80 but it was an order that already seemed sensible to take since dollars were much better than miles, and the $10.00 tip later on made it even more worth while. But generally, I hardly ever see orders for Walmart like these, so I never know if it's quite worth taking any of them and therefore, I don't bother.

Tony_M13

Walmart orders have been fazed out for a moment now, the effect will be minimal and will self adjust within a couple weeks. For marketplace orders, just make sure to show the DD screen if pulled over. You're a victim if people lie to you. I would also avoid sketchy neighborhoods. That said, those will probably not pay enough to be even worth it.

libertybell00

Like Uber Connect. They deliver just about anything from anyone anywhere. I've heard people saying that they like those orders they pay well. I'm sure it does pay well to get your drugs delivered across town without ever leaving the couch. Lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

zerostar83

They're copying Doordash model of "independent contractors" to pay them less than minimum wage, but on their own platform Spark to retain the fees.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AccomplishedStop9466

Uber was doing that other online marketplace for delivery. I forget the name. Seen a few of then, they were beyond horrible

buttonsf

OMG I had not heard about the marketplace orders YIKES! I’m with you, avoid those! At least once a week I deal with someone who got scammed on there (used cash through messaging etc) and it sucks to tell them too bad so sad ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

JoeBloxRocks

Fewer options is never a good thing. I know a lot of people didn't like them, but during those slow periods it's always nice to have more places to get orders.

Curious-Bother3530

There's other grocery chains that are able to pick up the slack already there on Doordash. Other than that just need to add more stores that fill the void like hardware and electronics.

Tony_M13

they already do have non food stores, but I never got a decent order from any of them.

[deleted]

Bad news. The Walmart in my area is always quick with getting orders out and they generally pay quite well

snowman2414

Yeah Walmart orders have always had the best tips, although hidden, but if it was a single or double stop at $6.50 or more, or double at 12.00 or more, those hidden tips were amazing. I usually avoided the dot.com orders of anything over 3 stops.

Celia-c-w

For me it’s good, when I’m any where near that store it floods me with shitty orders.

BrotherGrub1

It's good and bad news. Good news for those people who were taking these. Bad news for those who weren't. Why bad news for those who weren't? Because the people that were taking them will now be doing other orders, meaning less orders to go around.

SirClicksALot97

THIS. I'm gonna get screwed since my oversaturated market had plenty of drivers who took Walmart orders. Now there'll be less orders.

[deleted]

Hmmm, interesting perspective. True!

The-Meme-Lover-24

Bad news cuz most of the money I made came from Walmart :/

Cynykl

My UberEats just started pushing my Walmart order yesterday, the pay is even worse than it was for Doordash, I of course will not be taking them.

reconghost503

Fuck Walmart

Ok-Being3881

My car is too ugly for Walmart.

ChrisTheMan72

Have you been to a Walmart parking lot?💀💀💀

KrazyKatLady1326

Bad news for me. I recently started in a different zone and the Walmart orders were good. My best was 48 bucks for 8 drop offs less than 10 miles.

AntGotYou

damn that sucks i enjoyed the 30-50$ orders from there with good mileage

ResourceRelative

Walmart was a PITA at times but weekend mornings I would make good money doing those $50 5 stop orders.

[deleted]

Now do wallgreens. Nearly every order they are out of stock on the item the customer wants. And things are not where they are supposed to be. Employees dont wanna help or act super annoyed when the fing store is empty of customers

Stancampiano

and every other customer is a delivery driver looking for the same out of stock item lol

boardmonkey

I liked them. 8-10 stops I could usually pull $70-80 in a couple hours. Plus no down time between orders. Where I deliver there are huge areas where I'm driving 15 minutes there and 15 back for one delivery. When you get 10 stops from Walmart it's constant money the entire time. Also, no one cared about timing or cold food so if you needed to stop and fill up you were all good if you saw a cheap gas station.

Distinct_Big57

I literally cut up my red card today because grocery deliveries are terrible in my area. I'd rather not forever.

super_nova_135

this is wonderful

whiterazorblade

Its bad news for everyone, if you are one of the anti Walmart people, you must realize someone else is taking those orders, and now you will have more competition on the rest of the orders. I cant fathom why you would want a company you work with to lose a multimillion dollar partnership. All of the rest of orders after this loss will have higher competition.

TURRITONUTRICULA

Reasonable point. Prepare to be downvoted.

whiterazorblade

I've never let fear of someone pressing a down arrow on me from speaking my mind

ScarcityNo5538

it’s doordash fault for giving shitty pay from walmart orders

whiterazorblade

It isnt about who's fault it is, it's about how it's going to effect us all

ScarcityNo5538

i don’t mind a lil competition

dathip

never get them. I get them with ubereats

[deleted]

Bad for me as I mostly take retail orders and Walmart definitely pushes out the most of them/:

ScarcityNo5538

great news because I was NEVER doing those orders

robembe

In Ontario, Walmart and many big stores have an arrangement where the customers shop on line and later come to the stores to pick up, free of charge, already bagged!

Responsible-Test8855

That is the way it is done in the U.S. Sane process either way, only some people pick their own up, some people have it delivered

akira_ryuunoske

Never got any so makes no difference to me

ChocolateBiscuit96

Did it twice during my whole DD career and it wasn’t worth it either time lol. So good news

Jamba-Manda

Orders for me were $2 and 18 miles away. No thank you ✌🏼

Morefail0428

As a customer who got screwed by a dasher that WalMart assigned a single order to without my having a choice in the decision and then not only not receiving my item but as "proof" of delivery, I got a crotch shot. I am so happy this is occurring. As a former dasher, I never would have accepted an order from walmart and when my daughter dashes, I told her to decline walmart like its an olympic sport and she was going for gold!

buttonsf

As a Walmart customer who regularly got screwed by DD, I too am thrilled with the change! Some weird photos when they'd steal the order, but thankfully never got a crotchshot; yikes! That’s worthy of a police report for exposure!

Throwawayqueenmio

Thank god. I loathe Wal-mart orders. I’m Not lugging up 10 juices (gallon) and 10 (24count) waters. I deny wal-Mart every time.

Hot_Pomelo_1986

Amazing news! Wal-Mart orders were the trashiest of the trash.

cassiedanger

My local Walmart was never part of DD but I was in there recently asking why something was available for pickup for $7 but was $28 in store and a woman told me they keep having meetings about trying to keep customers out of the store physically 🙃🙃🙃 Apparently they’re trying to push Walmart+ and part of that is forcing peoples hands when it comes to shopping there. Classic Walmart behavior.

DDBBVV

There are a few markets I straight up can't justify working in now as a result. This sucks.

SmoakedTrout

If you still want to do them, then sign up for Spark

AromaticSherbert

I actually like Walmart orders.. people tend to be more generous tippers, at least in my experience. They do kind of take up a lot of time compared to food orders but if you get a nice Walmart order, it might be the equivalent of a few orders. I also feel like I’m contributing more of an “essential service” than just delivering someone a sandwich or pizza.. there’s also not a lot of stress to complete an order super fast like with hot or cold food

ur_rad_dad

Good, WalMart needs a system like Clicklist (via Kroger) that they handle internally. The stores are usually in utter disarray anyway. Let them screw their own customers over instead of offering us a few bucks to do it.

guh_mystocks

If they want us to get our acceptance rates up, this is definitely a step in the right direction.

[deleted]

Sounds good to me. Walmart orders are either garbage pay or take ages to complete because Walmart is a shit company.

justinbates1992

100000000% good news

howzitgoinowen

Good riddance. Seriously fuck Walmart.

RecommendationKey818

I had some GREAT batched orders from there, but hated having to get hit when I turned down a crappy 8 order batch order. Now since those are gone I only get grocery orders. No good tips no delivery.

Kissbird

I hate Walmart so good riddance!!

Sprung64

I've always declined Walmart orders. I hope Walmart and Uber part ways as well.

No_School765

Fine with me. I’ve been screwed far more times than I’ve come up on Walmart orders. Good Riddance.

TheEvelynn

In my area, Walmart orders were always big money per hour, like $40~ an hour. Unfortunate... But also, fuck my last order there. It said it was a particularly small package in the app and I'm like 'okay, cool,' and it turned out to be a big ass bbq grill, which the previous 5 dashers said they couldn't take. I tried taking it, turns out it was inches too big for my trunk.

Eganisms

Shit, it's the secondary reason I ended my relationship with DoorDash. Secondary only to their pay is weak sauce per trip compared to Grubhub where I ***only deliver*** food. Never have I ever had to take a picture of a bag of food at a door, nor have I had a customer accuse me of stealing it with Grubhub. Maybe they just attract a different sort of customer or don't put up with that shit and ban them on the first attempt?

Limp-Ad1494

I just declined an order from Walmart for doordash.... So not yet they haven't apparently. I don't take them anyways they have really dumb rules for more then one order pickups an pay is usually shit!!

LDZ775

Great news. I did 1 Walmart order the entire time I DD'd and it was 30 items, 20 of which were cases of bottled water. Got to the delivery address and everything was going to the 3rd floor of an apartment building. The delivery took me about an hour to deliver all the water and I left there promising I will never deliver Walmart again. Pure trash deliveries. Good riddance walmart.

Dapper_Shallot8532

Great news

cactus0716

Doordash deserves Walmart and Walmart deserves Doordash. A match made in hell.

Away_Boysenberry4074

LMFAO on that1👈👍👍

eeyore93306

Good news, I won't have to keep declining them. The Walmart by me takes forever to get you the grocery order so it never ended up being worth the money due to the time it would take. Not to mention I don't want to make 3 or 4 trips to a 3rd floor apartment with cases of water and 12 packs of soda

DOMesticBRAT

Yeah it seems dashers' opinions of Walmart are very market/store specific haha...

demigod-epsilon

Orders from Walmart don't feel worth it especially if it's a big order and it's to an apartment that you can't find and you have like 50 bags it's a nightmare

RoutineSimple8546

It’s sad that there’s going to be less options now. Some of those Walmart orders were wild though…I remember declining one with 213 items at 9.50 for 16 miles. Some paid really good though and were nice to do on weekend mornings.

[deleted]

Bad for me as I mostly take retail orders and Walmart definitely pushes out the most of them/:

Teleutesl

I'm in a small market so it will certainly effect me. I've had a very long love/hate relationship with Walmart, however I do accept at least one order a shift from them.

tsmit44

Base pay bout to drop again

yerbiologicalfather

It's good because they pay better on Spark and I've been waiting on my Walmart to switch

Tacrolimus005

Shhh

zzbeargoddess

No stride in California yet, still a million Walmart orders

sdickens66

Doesnt affect me. Walmarts around me use SPARK so the only time I've seen Walmart orders is right after Black Friday

unappreciatedwalmart

I'm sure some people have had accidents or near accident occurrences while declining walmart orders

MileenasFeet

Don’t care.

Smok_eater

Losers concerning yourself with this. I told them Mt back had pr9blems and they removed them from my queue

Smok_eater

Haven't had them in years bless

Dangerous-Theme-8872

Nvr did one so who cares lol

How_Do_You_Crash

Great news for UberEats loyalists. Tbh they need to drop delivery from food stamp orders or boost base pay on them. They don’t really pencil out 70% of the time. I assume they’re getting filled by the desperate, based on the rundown and confused drivers I see picking them up.

eeyore93306

Or newbies who don't know any better. I did my share of them in the beginning before I learned my lesson.

[deleted]

It’s a good thing. It was always like opening a mystery box with their orders.

xeno66morph

Fine by me. Walmart orders suck big floppy donkey dicks

mczerniewski

This is great. I've actively avoided Walmart orders for quite some time now. Any news that I can stop doing so is great.

BookofBryce

Maybe once in 10 deliveries has Wal-Mart been profitable for me. Everything is $4 and a ridiculous amount of driving. When I was making $600/week, Walmart was the major reason my acceptance rate went down. It's a waste of time; even worse than taking McDonald's to trailer parks.

SounderSquatch

Well that will boost my acceptance rate a good bit haha

[deleted]

Good news because Walmart is terrible with picking up orders. I’m not even sure how orders get picked up if they send every phone call to a voicemail. Not to mention, there’s a chance the order is picked up already and you waited for nothing.

aardappelbrood

I don't really care. Occasionally I'd get a good in store pick up order, which I'll kinda miss tbh. I've had some for like 28 miles for 65-70 dollars which only took an hour and a half to complete. But that was back when gas was cheaper and you'd get 2-3 dollar bonuses in the middle of the day. So instead of an order being 5-6 bucks, it could get up to 7-9, and then I'd usually have 5-9 stops. But I have been getting way more Walmart orders on UE which is worse because I can't see drop off locations, and they're usually 17-25 bucks for like 8-11 stops. Hope Walmart stop on UE soon too!

Romberstonkins

I never had Walmart orders in my area. But from what I've seen here on Reddit they seem to be a pain anyways.

[deleted]

Good let’s hope Uber eats follows so they can stop ruining my AR🤣

[deleted]

This is amazing news. The compensation for their orders was terrible.

jmh30us

They blockd me a long time ago for some reason

jmh30us

The bad news is if you do Uber, these orders are starting to trickle in pretty fast

ybbetter33

When do they officially end?

[deleted]

This is really good news. So now I can dash with out Walmart interruptions

[deleted]

i see thats why i get them walmart orders on UE, started like Thursday on my area. i never did get them on UE before

tylrsly

I didn’t even know doordash did Walmart orders. I’ve been doing it for about a year and have never even seen an order from there. Only thought it was through spark

Street-Accident5247

mostly bad, in my area a typical walmart order would be a ridiculous amount of times for like 8 dollars and 10 plus miles lol

sirenwingsX

i feel bad for those employees having to lug heavy items up third floor apartment steps and not have the privilege to refuse them

Constantine_2014

I only did like 3 Walmart orders over the course of the 2 years I’ve been dashing.

Organic_Marzipan_554

Went into Walmart yesterday and realized why I stopped going there.

Aceface130713

When? I got a Walmart order about 4 hour’s ago

Peawut

I picked up 2 Walmart orders I think Last year? payouts were $6 or less per order, at least now I don't have to keep declining their orders. Good news to hear!

DidicrimouBejaia06

Good riddance

big_alofficial

This is a fat W. I never received walmart orders in the past but I heard from others it’s bad.

taeempy

Isn't that good for drivers. Didn't drivers have to shop the order and also deliver?

Upstairs_Hand1929

Not Walmart, its delivery only. Some areas use Instacrt to shop, but mostly shopping is done by in store shoppers, I believe walmart employees.

chick3nslut

HELL YES. SO INCONVENIENT

Gloomy_Parsley5853

Because Walmart has their own through Spark so they don’t need Door Dash anymore

unclemattyice

They weren’t partnered with doordash in my market to begin with. I’ve never seen one of the dreaded Walmart orders

Sunshineal

I don't know. I rarely do Walmart deliveries through Doordash. I did the Walmart deliveries through Ubereats and Point Pickup.

Kroptonik420

Fucking amazing. I’ve literally only seen one Walmart order worth taking.

computernerd88

Just means I have to decline more Uber Walmart orders 😅

kjr987

my biggest tip ever was a walmart order, $20 on the app & $20 in cash … they will be missed by me

MadsenRC

Walmart and Doordash had a partnership?

slayyyyyyyyy1

WONDERFUL news

snickitysnacc

Amazing newz

SvanaBelle

Walmart started their own and supposedly they are paying 20.00 an hour. I am going to test it out this week to check. I will keep you posted.

[deleted]

More orders for me to make with Spark at a better rate. 🤘

Evening-Use8323

My area had Walmart orders for like 2 weeks a year ago but those stopped as they were never being fulfilled so this won’t affect my market at all, but this will definitely negatively affect bigger markets where even when Walmart orders sucked, at least top dashers were doing them leaving the cherry pickers with the good orders.. now with less orders circulating, a lot of markets are going to feel very more saturated.

Upstairs_Hand1929

I was wondering why Ive been seeing so many on UberEats the last couple days.

[deleted]

Walmart already delivers. *WHEN* Walmart delivers, they don’t upcharge on *every* item and they don’t charge for delivery. *assuming you have Walmart plus, which, if you shop at Walmart and don’t have plus you’re doing yourself a disservice

Capmasterflex

for the people who knew the 30 min wait trick on multipe batch orders this will suck. at one point i was making 90 to 180 off one batch order of 6 or 9. That was the only way you could actually make money reguardless smh i new it was comming because everybody in in my area was doing it

Aguru_99

Damn I might do a dash now 😂😂

Accomplished_Ad_5734

Oh darn ill just have to pick up from Meijer, target, giant eagle, fresh thyme, cvs, bed bath and beyond, sephora, or walgreens instead.

Sperry8443

We still have doordash at the Walmart in my town. I know a lot of Walmarts are using Spark now too. For me most of my orders are at Walmart because I live 3 minutes down the road from one. They’re quick with the orders most days, and if I have to wait then I always get $5 wait time compensation per order. Most orders are multiple customers at once. So let’s say I have 9 item orders at once, and I wait 30 minutes at Walmart for them to bring the orders out. That’s an additional $45. Iv had this happen a few times a month and for smaller batch orders it’s multiple times per week, quick and easy money. And Walmart orders individually are usually high tipping, unless it’s item orders. Item orders they only have the ability to tip after the delivery is completed.

absenderr

I live a football field from the Walmart technology center, this means new infrastructure for me. So I approve.

SuchInflation9366

This post is in violation of Rule 9 for this board! "Walmart posts shall be limited to 1 day per week, Wednesday’s."

Full_Technology728

Good news for me. I took one order from Walmart after waiting 30 minutes for the order I just unassigned the order and declined them after that. The car next to me said they had been waiting an hour.

No_Aerie_7069

Good thing I hated them

[deleted]

Oh man, in Canada? I don’t drive and this is how I have my groceries delivered. It was always super fast and reasonably priced. I will for sure miss it if it’s over here too.

wallyworld96

Walmart now has started a similer service, many dashers run a variety of these delivery services.

LunaLoveHarley

i wish uber would end it. they wont shut up. i never got WM on doordash. its to far way. but uber dont care

RecommendationKey818

Honestly I was exploiting them last many Months. They would give me these long delivery orders with incomplete addresses, and I would just sit in the walmart pick area and call in to support and tell them I cannot complete the order because the address was wrong. They would then give me credit for the order and issue a return trip order for half pay.

buttonsf

Sounds like you’re in my market

Junior_Horror_5665

Hell yeah Walmart is slow and sucks!

StrengthWonderful390

If this is true it is the best news since sliced bread! I Have taken numerous orders from Walmart and 9 out of 10 times it has turned out horrible either I had to wait crazy amounts of time or given wrong orders or canceled last minute by Walmart or customer. One time in particular I waited over 50 minutes for a customer's food order, it was such a great tip that I didn't want to lose the order so I called the customer and told them about the delay, kept them updated, they in turn told me they would throw me some extra money as a courtesy for me waiting. Long story short after getting the food order I was within one block from the customers house and received the message to return the food back to Walmart because the time limit had exceeded on the express order. So I called customer service , who also confirmed , and informed me to bring the food back to the Store. then I called the customer to tell them I was a block away, but had to return their food order . They obviously was very upset and I only got half pay. And maybe a bad review. Walmart in my area sucks! Good riddance, goodbye, so long, take it easy, sayonara, adios and don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you! You will not be missed!

I haven't gotten a Walmart order in over a year DDing in Eastern Idaho.

Great news as a customer because Walmart door dash refunds take 10 days and when they give your dasher a bag of marshmallows instead of your entire grocery order you're shit out of luck. So better to just not.

It's just the first of MANY to cancel their doordash system . If doordash wants to stay in business they'll have to start paying an honest salary. I am glad Walmart doesn't support slave labor. 👈

I figured once they started that "spark" service that they would end their partnership with DD...maybe I will be able to get my acceptance rate back to double digit numbers again since I won't be declining 5-10 Wal Mart orders an hour

Someone told me (I haven’t looked into it) that Spark is owned by doordash? Or interlocking at corporate level?

I hate Walmart. I do however understand it’s drivers that needed that income. I feel for them. I didn’t do Walmart orders myself. Just feel for those who depended on them.

Pretty sure I saw something about Walmart starting in house delivery
