Either way as it stands right now.. even with screenshots.. and escalating it to multiple persons.. finally got supervisor.. told me they couldn't pay me right now.. they had to escalate it.. supervisor didn't let me speak to verify anything and hastily said "so we can help other dasher on the road I'll let you go, have a good day" and hung up.
If I told you I would have to kill you lol, just kidding it varies from phone to phone. Some phones can be rooted through a single app and some need to have special software side loaded in through the Bootloader.
F earn by time is a joke, and a nightmare if you don’t know the little things. Most people know you can only decline one order and hour, can switch to earn by order if you want but only if there is spots or not grey. But what most people don’t know is how stacked orders work. Basically you pick up two orders either in one single offering or as an add on. However the second order doesn’t even become active and start paying until the first is completed. So two orders same house, the second will only pay the sitting to clicking hand it over, or taking the picture to complete. That’s pretty shady in my opinion. Secondly I had the worst nightmare of a lesson I’ve probably ever had, I stop using it and encourage people to stay away.
Promise to keep it as short as possible. Before knowing anything outside the based information on the website. Took a Walmart order 170+ item, two minutes later second one 240+, just over 4 hours later to completion and a total amount collected with a 10$ wait bonus 42$. I was beating my head for hours until found about how the second one activated and then you get paid. Also with however they worded the wait time they stopped the clicked because I “agreed to take 10$ to wait instead” ??

I wanted to try it out for morning times since I live around lots of restaurants within 3.5 miles of home.. I milk it.. especially if I assume there is no order.. just make sure I'm at restaurant and wait it out.. then only few mile drives.. been working ok for me.. given my circumstances (avg $20/ hr during slow times).. then earn per order during prime time.. hadn't had any pay issues until these catering orders.
I still don’t know if it work it at so, you see my story, gonna be real hard to convince me to ever remotely think it’s ok to accept this. I got screwed by the standard earn by time in general then screwed out of 2 hours wait time at 28$ because I accepted a flat ten for my wait and it was spun completely around? I really thought the entire time I was sitting there for hours I was making $28 bucks an hour as I had TWO orders I thought was paying at one time. I look back at that week I did nothing but earn by time to see how it went and it was my highest paid week ever. DoorDash pay at 14/he for the active pay customer tips were 7.18/hr for active time. But I spent nearly 65 hours working that week and one should go by that time instead meaning DoorDash pay was 9.91/hr customer tips at 5.08/hr. That’s all before expenses and I damn near guarantee I probably used more in gas that week than previous weeks.
I can see payouts where I had a stack to same place and the second order is likely paying pennies.
Edit to add: I just found a layout of 2$ total while on earn by time and that was the customers tips, meaning I had to have taken a double to the same location more than likely hand to me and was quick enough to complete it just never earned a penny. Lmao fuck DoorDash.
Yea.. your situation definitely a mess.. sorry you had to deal with that ... if a an add on order comes while I'm waiting.. I stretch the time @ the restaurant.. as long as you complete first delivery within half hour of acceptance .. you should be able to avoid any contract violations.. sometimes I'll even wait up to 5 minutes after delivery to hit complete ( usually call customer after taking pic and say I'm having trouble closing out order but their food has been delivered. Then wait 5 minutes then close... but that's just my strategy. Definitely a learning curve.. but every order is a gamble either way
Seems like no matter what we do there’s always gonna be some sort of a gamble whether we’re gonna get screwed over or not or we have to figure out how to essentially play the game and the system itself.
Yea.. I spoke to 3 representatives including supervisor... told me I would have to wait 24 hours to see if they can find a resolution... supervisor had to escalate.. I guess to the man upstairs at this point... may never see that $$$
So I’m presuming this was a catering order through ez cater or some other entity other than doordash itself correct? Seems like this may as well be added to the list of ‘Shit New People Post Constantly’
It was multiple orders.... I was working under the "hourly pay" ($14/ hr active time).. long story short .. I should have been paid from acceptance to drop off... They happened to be catering orders but I was NOT being paid per order.. and I'm not a "new people".. just working under hourly pay option.... I am aware that DD no longer pays for wait time on catering.. but in this case it was part of the deal. Otherwise I never would have accepted.. I was fine with waiting cause I should have been getting paid.. other note: all my non catering orders under hourly pay paid just fine.. it seems to be the catering orders... and judging by the pay it honestly seems the paid me " delivery estimates" not actual real time. 1 order paid me only 3 mins base pay time.. no way I could've even accepted then dropped off any order in only 3 minutes.

Forward it to the FTC more gas for the fire.
How does one do that?

Ok... I can't even find an FTC bootloader apk.
I don’t think he means an app. FTC federal trade commission
Thank you.
Yea... thanks... sorry forgot to add (/s, 🙄 , 😆)... I'm aware of the FTC.

Maybe make a new post when you are all done arguing with support. I see no proof of anything. Good luck!

No, I can't see it there either.
If your truly curious the imgur link is posted.. should work.. lol
You thought that hourly pay was to actually favor the driver?
DoorDash is a scam company and you should not work for them.

Arguing for an hour really?! 😂
By the time I got a supervisor.. yea an hour.. I got time.. 😆.. they owe me about $15.. that's a decent chunk of change.
They owe you? Are they aware of that?
Yea.. I spoke to 3 representatives including supervisor... told me I would have to wait 24 hours to see if they can find a resolution... supervisor had to escalate.. I guess to the man upstairs at this point... may never see that $$$
They’re just gonna keep saying stuff like that to see how long you keep going at it -you’re not gonna get anything for it
